The place was fine—very American-style. My only complaint is that I wanted to extend my stay by one more night, but the front desk claimed they had no rooms available—even though the checkout drop-box was full of keys from guests who had already checked out. I checked Hotels.com and saw plenty of rooms available, but they were three times the price of my original booking, despite it being a weekday with low occupancy.

As far as airport hotels go, this Holiday Inn Express does the trick. Located right at the airport alongside several other hotels and near the free CDGVAL train, it is very convenient for a pre or post flight stay. Check-in was very smooth and the rooms are just like any other cookie cutter hotel. However, this one is starting to show its age. Cracked/missing grout in the bathroom, wear marks on furniture, stains on carpets, etc. The rooms are sparse yet functional. There isn’t a dedicated work space but the wifi is good, the showers are nice, the soundproofing pretty good, the beds comfy, and the blackout curtains make the room dark. The breakfast is a nice inclusion and features an average spread compared to other European hotels (which are generally miles ahead of North American ones). There is nothing special about this hotel but that’s probably what they’re going for.
