The Folly is in a secluded location . There are three holiday let’s which was the farmers house back when it was a mill house , Folly being the smallest from the main house Even though all three were let on our visit you do not see or hear anyone as you all have your own gardens which are beautifully kept next to a running stream . The folly it’s self is a bit dated but for getting your head down served it’s purpose. The lane to the folly is a cars width like most of the lanes if you go to explore .The turn of to the folly ,that lane really needs some attention good job we was in a 4x4

Was an amazing bijou place to stay. Large garden for dogs to roam around. Sun over the lawn and through the patio windows from lunchtime till sunset. Beautiful sound of the babbling Brook along side the folly. Has a bridleway running up side of property Into the woods above. Extremely steep and uneven trails to steep to walk up, for us in our fifties. Woolacoombe to putsbrough 2mile beach worth a walk with dogs off leads.

Another wonderful holiday at The Folly, a perfect rural retreat. A real bolt-hole in the Devon countryside with a stream running along side and a very large garden; perfect for our dog. There is a generous welcome pack on arrival and towels provided for us and our dog! A lovely touch. The bed is very comfortable with lovely bed linen, the furnishings very tasteful and the bathroom is gorgeous. There are table and chairs provided in the garden plus bbq. A wonderful setting for sitting outside in the evenings. There are some beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside and the village is close by so you don't have to take the car anywhere. Perfect!

A beautiful peaceful haven, out side and in , every thing was amazing, decoration, comfy sofa and bed, the thoughtful provision of food for breakfast. Patio furniture, just perfect.\r Just be prepared to drive down narrow lanes, but well well worth it would go back tomorrow.\r Fell in love with the crockery .\r Our dog loved it and the stream.

This was our second visit to the Folly this year. so we knew we were in for a good experience, already talking of a visit next year, lovely to see baby squirrels at play in the garden and a regular heron fly past in the evening. large open lawn area solely for our use and a lovely tumbling stream running alongside. really well equipped village store close by with fresh food daily. lovely friendly area, scenery, both coast and inland wonderful. The easiest holiday to book we have ever had, incredible customer service.

The garden is lovely, perfect for a bit of sunbathing or a BBQ; even the friendly cows from the farm popped down to the fence to say hello! The village is a great base yo explore Exmoor, the coast, etc. Near enough to Barnstaple to be convenient for amenities, but far enough away to feel really rural and peaceful. The host, Charlotte, is easily contactable via Whatsapp (there’s wifi but no phone signal) and was very helpful. Would strongly recommend!

Comfortable , private space , perfect 2 of us and our 2 dogs . A very peaceful , calm place to stay and the dogs loved the babbling brook outside of the cottage . We stayed early October , so not the time of the year for laying in the garden in the sun , but this would be ideal during the summer months . Great location for accessing both the Devon Coast and Exmoor . Please note that the accommodation is one open plan room , containing bed , sofa and kitchen, separate bathroom .

Another wonderful holiday at The Folly, a perfect rural retreat. A real bolt-hole in the Devon countryside with a stream running along side and a very large garden; perfect for our dog. There is a generous welcome pack on arrival and towels provided for us and our dog! A lovely touch. The bed is very comfortable with lovely bed linen, the furnishings very tasteful and the bathroom is gorgeous. There are table and chairs provided in the garden plus bbq. A wonderful setting for sitting outside in the evenings. There are some beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside and the village is close by so you don't have to take the car anywhere. Perfect!

A beautiful peaceful haven, out side and in , every thing was amazing, decoration, comfy sofa and bed, the thoughtful provision of food for breakfast. Patio furniture, just perfect.\r Just be prepared to drive down narrow lanes, but well well worth it would go back tomorrow.\r Fell in love with the crockery .\r Our dog loved it and the stream.

Really great little place in a stunning location. The room is comfortable and spacious with everything you need for a holiday and is beautifully furnished. The garden is lovely, perfect for a bit of sunbathing or a BBQ; even the friendly cows from the farm popped down to the fence to say hello! The village is a great base yo explore Exmoor, the coast, etc. Near enough to Barnstaple to be convenient for amenities, but far enough away to feel really rural and peaceful. The host, Charlotte, is easily contactable via Whatsapp (there’s wifi but no phone signal) and was very helpful. Would strongly recommend!
