Stayed 3 nights

I called the hotel a couple days before our stay and asked what the nearest Light Rail Station to the hotel was. I identified myself. They hung up on me without answering. I called back, the phone rang an unusually long time. The phone was picked up and then hung up without answering. I called back a third time, and by this time I was very frustrated; I believe it was the same person who answered as the first person. She told me the phone never rang there. Then she told me the nearest stn was Light Rail. I asked if she was sure, as that is the name of the line, not the station. She said yes. Of course it is not, it's Westlake, which I had to find on my own. I then reached out to the hotel through the Hotels.com website messaging and told them of my experience. My message was also ignored and no one responded. After we checked in, we got the canned message in messaging from the hotel. They have never responded. For dinner we sat in the area by the bar, no one acknowledged us. We flagged down the bartender, and he treated us with distain and told us we sat in the wrong section and we should have known as there were no menus on the table. The server the following evening was much better, very customer focused compared to the fellow the first night. I rarely write bad reviews, I reach out to the hotel directly so they can address things, but given this hotel does not respond, and hangs up on guests, I had no choice. We typically book Marriotts, this is the first bad experience

Lobby was pleasant. Bar was rarely open. Nice full breakfast included, that was a perk. Our hotel room was sad and tired, from the pull out sofa to the tv on a rolling cart. Towels were old and not soft. The place certainly needs a refresh. Good location downtown though.

I didn’t give 5 stars for the staff only because the bartender that worked the afternoon on several days during our stay was HORRIBLE. If she didn’t like her job I’m sure she can find work somewhere where she can be happy. Otherwise 5 stars for the staff. Everyone else were 10/10
