Faecal matter on toilet seat (top & underneath) on arrival. Radiators not on & no instructions on how to work them. Shower plug blocked & water not going down. No liquid soap in shower container so had to get out of the shower to use the liquid soap by the basin, which subsequently ran out. The room should have been pay on arrival but they tried yo take the money at 1pm & then rang me to say it hadn’t gone through, they were about to cancel the booking. No mobile phone reception in the bedroom & no hotel wifi. I have never had such a bad experience before. Would not stay again.

Very grotty pub that did no food, was being refurbished (although i dont think you could have told if it wasnt), smelt of booze and cigarettes and was full of labourers, some of which happy to have a pint at 8.30am. The courtyard rooms were actually quite nice as new and the wifi was good. However, the room keys failed every day and had to be re-swiped 5 times. Fortunately there was a lovely pub next door that we ate dinner and breakfast in and i would recommend you stay here instead.

Plenty of parking. The room was new and well laid out. A couple of personal minor items like no blind on the Velux window or the glass panel in the door which meant light in the room which I am not used to. But that aside a really good stay at a great price.

The room was in very good condition. Comfortable, clean and apparently recently redecorated. The only slight niggles were that the wi-fi did not extend to the rooms and my window (single glazed) was above the beer garden which might have been a problem if I had needed an early night.

Keycard door lock iffy- staff changed cards several times but def the DOOR LOCK- so locked out more than once. Great little town GREAT PEOPLE- excellent take-aways nearby ( no 'hotel' food)Good bathrooms- plenty coffee/tea etc. Very Good for the price- Would def use again for NEC etc.Happy thank you..

Small carpark, but managed to get a spot, but i think if you arrived later in the evening it may be difficult, but ample parking on the street, very convienient location, lots of food places on the high street. I used it for a trip to the NEC, which was just a few miles away. This is no luxury hotel, you get what you pay for, we had a twin room in a building in the car park, had very thin walls and could hear everything going on in the room next door, the windows werent double glazed, i think this is due to the age of the building, and i just happened to be the bed near the window, it was really drafty. The room it very basic, but clean, could have done with some kind of dressing table and mirror to be able to plug in my straightners to do my hair, instead it was a bit of a mission heating them up in the room then having to unplug them and run to the bathroom mirror while they were still hot, then repeating that process several times to get my hair done. But at the end of the day you get what you pay for, and was just looking for somewhere to get my head down after a long drive to birmingham. Very much a no frills hotel.

On arrival the check in machine to operate the door cards seemed faulty & when I tried to enter my room the 2nd time, it didn't work, resulting in me seeking help. Eventually after 5 mins of them trying with the faulty machine it worked. Then I was awoken at 12.30am to a couple trying to enter my room, they didn't succeed the 1st time so after 5 mins had a second attempt to which I shouted through to them that they had awoken me & this room was occupied......bearing in mind this was a single occupancy room trying to be entered by a couple. Didn't have the best of sleeps after this had happened. Not a great stay but needed a room in the area for 1 night. Staff were friendly & the guy I spoke to when I checked out said he would look into my concerns from my stay. Room was ok, basic but had T.V, iron & ironing board, tea/coffee/milk, kettle, hot water, toilet roll. Shower worked fine & towels were clean. A few marks on the top of the duvet cover but pillowcases & undersheet looked clean.

Friendly staff plus cheap beer and cobs. Bar looks a bit worn but rooms are 100%. New rooms being built at back with potential of breakfasts in the future. I will stay here again.

Poorly maintained, holes in wales, mould in bathroom. Hairs in bed, dirty bathroom floor. Room next to car park, not double glazed so room cold and noisy.

Lady on reception who checked me in was lovely . The room was filthy dirty . Thick dust cob webs . Vile . I had taken my own towel but they did supply .but I put them around the shower . And wore flip flops I slept on top of the bed . On my own towels . The pillows smelt dirty . .. dead flys . The bed had been change and clean linen . But dread to think what the looked like underneath . . It was all last money me staying . But luckily . I had stuff in my car. It’s a shame as the the lady was lovely and most probs all staff are . It really is dirty . . And could be so much nicer .

The pub was filthy which didnt bode well for the room. Although the room looked as if it had been recently decorated the shower had mould around the sealant. There was hole in the wall behind the door. The bedding and towels were clean. It was cheap and close enough to the NEC

Gutted to be honest. Stay here regularly for work reasons and never really had an issue until now. Stayed in the annex in room 17. Found the bed hadn’t been made properly and was dirty. There were used cups and a wine glass left over from the previous guest. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned as hair in the sink. Looked like they had left fresh towels on the bed at least as folded up but suspect they were the previous guests as still a bit damp. Anyway it was late and the hotel was full so knew I couldn’t be moved and couldn’t go anywhere else. The next morning I got up and got dressed and my socks and trousers were covered in fleas so clearly an infestation in room 17. Put me off staying again, definitely not in the annex. I know it’s cheap but come on at least clean the rooms and put fresh bedding on when a guest leaves! Woke up to bottles being thrown in to the recycling bin outside my room at 7am. Spend more time cleaning please 🙏

After a 2 night booking we left as early as poss the next day and booked into somewhere else, filthy black mould in shower and windows (health hazard) both rooms no window mechanism to secure closure, fire/smoke alarm hanging from ceiling, fire door missing intumescent smoke strip (hazard/illegal), unable to fill kettle from sink tap (had to use shower! in general this place should be shut down! seriously, take it off your books hotels.com as it is detrimental to your busines.

Avoid this dirty hotel. I wished I had read the reviews before I booked. We booked this hotel for two nights while staying over for Crufts. The place is filthy, cobwebs and thick dust all over the room, mould in the bathroom and walls. Not sure what the cleaners actually do at this place, they certainly do not clean, even the shower screen hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guestssss. Don’t do the same mistake we did, book elsewhere.

The bathroom was in a terrible state. It appeared to have not been cleaned after the previous guest had used it. The toilet pan and seat were disgusting.

The room was ok, just not very clean. . The shower had mould in it and there were holes in a lot of the walls. It looked very tired.

Stayed here previously. The room condition has declined. Dirty shower. Water wouldn’t grain. Plug full of hair and debris. overhead Shower head needs cleaning and dusting. Hose shower needs new pipe as it sprays out when switched kn. Grime and black gunk along the shower door rails

Excellent location and new rooms added. Fully refurbed and very well set up. The owners were incredibly nice and helpful and the town itself is very relaxing and nuce

The room was immaculate, bigger than assumed, comfortable bed, locals were lovely, great staff, there are renavatuons going on at the moment so no food but have no doubt if there had of been it would have been great, but there were plenlty of places to eat within a short walking distance. Lovely local area. Cant fault it and will definitely stay again!!

Booked this hotel to attend a commercial show at the NEC, which is a 10-minute drive away. I was shown where my room was by the lady who checked me in. Unfortunately the room was very hot (no air-con). With the window open you got smoke smell from folks enjoying the outdoor seating. The bathroom floor had what looked like dried blood on it, the carpets were dirty - Thankfully I had taken slippers. The shower was hot and the bed was comfy. The location was good for where i needed to be for 2 days. There was also a pub serving food next door, 3 Indian resturants, a fish and chip shop and a Stonehouse restaurant all within 5 minutes of the hotel. Sorry, but I would not stay again.

Stayed 3 nights and door knocked on every morning at 8am because they didn't know who was staying or going.? But even so; why knock at 8 when checkout is 11. Spoiled my otherwise good time in Coleshill/Brum.

Worst experience ever. Dodgy drunk people hanging out at night. In room till midnight was 80 decibels, all room was shaking from noise downstairs. No response for complaints from manager. Paid for sleepless night, never again! I strongly recommend to avoid this place!

Stayed here a few times staff always been lovely and helpful and rooms are comfy and clean. Bit noisy but its to be expected when your staying above a pub.

To be honest, it was a cheap option to stay in for a night before an early Birmingham flight, and I was on my own. Brilliant friendly bar downstairs, great start to holiday. Building a bit tired where I stayed, but clean and did the job! Would defo do this again. Lovely staff!

Plenty of Tea and Coffee parking bit of a squeeze. Make sure you register vehicle details. Some late night noise but bearable. Bed comfy shower plenty of hot water and works ok. Towels good lighting good no chair or writing desk small wardrobe. Access to lical shops and costa 2 minutes walk.

Ok for a cheap night if you need to stay over in Coleshill. Room was ok, bit grubby in areas but just due to age. Quick and easy check in, and managed to get a parking space.

Perfect for a quick stay before visiting the NEC, pay for what you get & I’d stay again!

Nice clean room, in quiet location. Good bed, and en-suite bathroom. Good value for the money, but no-frills. I would stay again.

Really good value , comfy bed £3.50 a pint ! Can’t complain about anything 👍
