Loved the hotle and bar. An amazing carving outside of a dragon emerging from a tree..local wye valley beers were great..no food being seeved but a good fish and chip shop nesrby which you could bring back to yhe bar area

Gorgeous building, 4 poster room was lovely with very comfy bed, and for a good price, very quiet, nice little bar downstairs, easy to park, staff were very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be back

Friendly and helpful staff who weee manning the bar. No food available and breakfast was Continental only. The shower head had lost its fixing so had to hold the shower head up in the air. There was also no heating. The thermostats didn’t seem to yield the right response. Finally. The mattress was not comfortable and kept me from much needed sleep. The drayman came at 7am so heard all the beer barrels being moved. This is a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. .

Cool building, cute room, friendly staff. The bed was a bit too soft for our taste, but comfy otherwise. The shower pressure was very low and the water didn't get very hot. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant bar downstairs but it looked cosy and smelled great.

Stayed for one night as we are moving into the area shortly. This is a lovely period building with a nice bar serving Wye Valley beer and dining area serving evening meals. Although we booked room only breakfast is now available for £8 each (small) or £12 ( large) served with tea coffee cereals toast fruit and yoghurt. The rooms were nicely styled, clean, quiet, with TV, toilettries and tea and coffee making facilities. Small fridge was useful. The team were very friendly and helpful. The bus 476 DRM service outside takes you into Hereford in 10 minutes which is a lovely city to visit or into Ledbury a quaint market town. Ample parking at the hotel. We will definately return to try the evening meals.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and its original features. Needs some renovation in places and more time spent on housekeeping but it’s great that the owners not trying to modernise it. It is also a great location.

Stayed one night. We were welcomed by the staff who quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and had a comfy bed. There was tea, coffee and water, although the kettle was small considering they had mugs for the drinks (love the fact they were mugs!). The bathroom was small but functional, but no extractor fan which is surprising. We didn't eat here, but did have a few drinks in the bar and the staff were again very friendly as were the locals. Would I stay here again - yes I would.

The staff at this Hotel are incredibly nice and helpful. I was traveling with two friends on our annual bike tour. The manager was extremely accommodating about storing our bikes someplace secure and dry, which was sincerely appreciated. A great value for the money.

After booking a room through Hotels.com, I called the Godwins Hotel to see if there was an option to check in late as this would be preferable to me if it was possible. I was told that this was no problem, and given the details of the security box which would contain 2 keys, along with where I could find my room (number 7). I was also told that if I encountered any problems I could ring the mobile phone number given to me and help would be given. After arriving at the hotel at 12.30am, I went to the security box and there was no keys inside. Furthermore, when I rang the mobile number twice, it went to answerphone both times. I left a message on one occasion. I also tried to ring the hotel directly. Further to this, I called Hotels.com and was on the phone to them for 2 hours and 5 minutes. There were no hotels nearby available at this time, and I had no choice but to sleep in my car. After two more phone calls the following day to the hotel and the managers mobile, and two emails sent to both the hotel and the hotel group over the weekend, I got a response from Godwins 5 days later. I received approximately 80% of my money back, and no gesture of goodwill. Absolutely disgusting service.

Just needed a overnight stay after visiting friends nd this was booked last minute, Arrived 7.30 pm there is no actual reception but check in was easy although we had to find room on our own. Room clean tidy 2 single beds very comfortable. Bath with shower over . No one around when we departed but asy to deposit key in box by main door

I emailed to check on breakfast day before only to be informed buffet breakfast not available due to ill health. Had chosen hotel as had been included. Received a number of very unprofessional responses, Got a sausage bap from shop down the road left in a bag on table next day. Made to feel very unwelcome .

This was a very quirky hotel and aside of the initial signing in there was no real interaction with staff the food was good akthough i think the seating arrangments were very different to the victorian appeal of the hotel and i think with that in place its a nice quiet setting room was well appointed with drinks facilities etc a nice stay

Loved the hotle and bar. An amazing carving outside of a dragon emerging from a tree..local wye valley beers were great..no food being seeved but a good fish and chip shop nesrby which you could bring back to yhe bar area

This is a lovely, quiet and welcoming hotel. Stayed here for Valentines Day and I was not disappointed. Lovely valentines menu was reasonable and tasty. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Will definitely be going back there.

Friendly and helpful staff who weee manning the bar. No food available and breakfast was Continental only. The shower head had lost its fixing so had to hold the shower head up in the air. There was also no heating. The thermostats didn’t seem to yield the right response. Finally. The mattress was not comfortable and kept me from much needed sleep. The drayman came at 7am so heard all the beer barrels being moved. This is a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. .

Lovely clean room to the rear of the building, with complimentary towels, coffee, tea, tv etc. Plenty of parking to the front of the pub, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 👌
