Casa Coyote Tulum

I love my stay at Casa Coyote! Nicco and his staff were extremely helpful. They allowed me to change my room because I didn't like the view from the patio of my first room. For the price, Casa Coyote is excellent. The decorations in the room and throughout the property are very cute. I like the candles lighting the walkway in the evening. They add a special touch to the place. I really like having a patio with the view of the garden. Ask for this if you can. I also like the communal kitchen. I was able to make myself tea and store perishable items in the fridge during my stay. I didn't use the pools because to me, the beach is so much better. The easy beach access through Dos Ceibas is superb. It cannot be beat! I love every minute at the beach. It's close enough to the hotel that I felt comfortable leaving my things at the beach to come back to the hotel if I forgot anything. The food and staff at Dos Ceibas are also very good. I prefer eating at this restaurant because of the food quality and the peaceful atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. Book it and you won't regret it.

The location is perfect, close to the best beach clubs and only nature sounds at night. Amazing roof top pool to see the sunset and stars. Also the restaurante “loco Tulum” one of the best around. Really enjoyed our stay here The staff was amazing. Helped with everything we needed

Ivo was wonderful since the moment we booked. Very easy to communicate with. Patricio was also very helpful and kind at check in. The property is beautiful and the room is just like the pictures, with a nice balcony and all the jungle at the back to us. I loved that they gave us a pass to access the beach club across the street. FYI Area is expensive and food is overpriced

Everything about our stay was phenomenal at Casa Coyote. From the moment we arrived to our departure. Ivo welcomed us and took us to our room and took the time to explain what to expect with our stay. The breakfast, which is included with the stay, was delicious! A veggie omelet never tasted so good. I seriously can’t believe how anyone could ever come on here to complain about this place. You are staying in the jungle, not the Hilton. You have an amazing view to the jungle, a rooftop terrace to view sunsets and the room smells amazing. This eco friendly hotel is amazing. Ignore all the negative reviews, complainers will always be complainers. The location of Casa Coyote is great. Not beach front but have you access to the beach. Amazing stay.

I needed to stay a couple nights on the Tulum beach road for some meetings and this was a great option just steps from the beach and restaurants. Ivo the manager was prompt to respond for anything needed and very kind. A big plus is free onsite parking. The property is a hidden gem. My room was really well-decorated, had great a/c, and hot water. 10/10 would stay again.

Having AC was excellent. The shared kitchen was also really useful. The Loco restaurant was the best I had in all of Tulum. My only issue was that on the first night or two there was a strong sewage smell (I imagine from the septic tank) around the room so I had to leave windows closed. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was a bit unpleasant. Still 5 stars tho, loved my time there.

We absolutely loved our stay! The room was very cozy with a jungle vibe. The rooftop pool and hangout area was amazing and we mostly had it all to ourselves! Close to a taco place, breakfast/coffee, and a smoothie bowl bar. Nico took very good care of us and made sure we were comfortable, gave us information on how to access the beach and restaurant recommendations. He’s very responsive over the phone and lovely to talk to! The security boys were also very sweet and we felt totally safe the entire time we were there. I would highly recommend this place if you’re going with a partner or a friend.

Helpful staff and the most eco friendly hotel ive ever stayed in. Some food within walking distance although at tourist prices. Access to beach could be a smoother process

My stay at Casa Coyote was wonderful. Evo the concierge was super helpful and attentive. Very clean rooms and safe atmosphere. You get the full Tulum experience as the hotel is located on the jungle side of the road while having full beach access just across the street. Highly recommend.

A Lot of noise. There was a bachelor weekend party and they booked us as a family on the same side. Very basic noise. No clean sheets (apparantly rust, but it looked like blood), my kids had small bugs in theorie beds. The location is good in overpriced Tulum.

A Pousada Coyote é boa. Prós, o quarto é espaçoso, bem decorado, o ar condicionado refresca bem e é silenciosa. Ivo nos atendeu super bem também. Contra, nosso quarto ficava dentro do mangue e era bem úmido, o serviço de quarto não tem constância, então, por toda nossa estadia, nos enxugamos com toalha úmidas. Alguns funcionários tbm não são dos mais gentis ou dispostos a sanar qualquer dúvida (nem trocar as toalhas).

Estuve 2 dias sin wifi ni señal alguna, 3 dias sin toallas, no me dejaban había que pedirlas que porque lavanderia estaba saturada. 7 mil pesos para lo q ofrecían no lo vale para nada. La atención de los chicos era buena. Pero pase corajes todos los días y hasta mi reembolso quiero pedir. No me volvería a quedar ahi la verdad. Ni el agua te rellenaban. Los cojines de plastico.

Casa coyote is a very clean hotel and with comfortable beds. Big bathroom. AC works. The door broke when I was there and it was fixed immediately. They have a restaurant that has a good menu and live music as well on Sunday nite. The music is great. In general, it is closed to the beach and other hotels and restaurants and some boutique shopping stores. One caveat tho, everything in the hotel zone is quite expensive! Service charge in restaurants of abt 12-15% is already added to your bill. Everywhere you go food prices in restaurants are almost similar and very expensive. It’s like going to siesta key in Florida! I should say, the food is savory! Wait staff is friendly anywhere.

The room was amazing! AC worked very well! It was clean! Housekeeping was great! They were very quick to help get us other things we needed and also suggested a few things to do around town. Hot water worked great, just had to let it warm up for about 5minutes! Super affordable too!

I love the stay here! David and ivo are amazing. Such a beautiful/clean place. Only downside will be transportation. Quite far from downtown area but accessible to beach clubs.

This place is very dirty and very small inside. It’s for someone who is not use to luxury or nice resorts. More for students. I arrived to this hotel and prefered to loose my money than to stay here. Expedia and the hotel wouldn’t refund us so we lost all our money.

Really nice place! It’s a bit far (walking) from the party & nice restaurant areas. It is very dark walking back at night where this place is. (Still safe) Place surprised me for the price, my only concern was that we were on the top room, you can see everything from the window BUT the people on the other side too! Maybe cover the windows so it’s not visible. Other than that, loved this place for the price!

Even though the AC automatically turns off from 12pm-5pm, the concrete walls and ceiling fan helped keep the room cool which was essential for getting ready for a wedding. Ivo was amazing! VERY quick to respond our messages and questions and incredibly helpful with our entire stay. However, I cannot say the same about the concierge service. We attempted to get ahold of our concierge all day Friday with very limited response, same situation on Saturday. Unfortunately this led to us not being able to go on an excursion we had planned on for Sunday. By the time our concierge returned our multiple messages on Saturday, we were already at the wedding we were attending and did not have service to pay for it online. (I had been attempting to get ahold of her since 9am and did not get a message back until 5:30pm.) We were incredibly disappointed by this as we had been very excited for this opportunity. But again, this was not our experience with Ivo. I felt like Ivo went above and beyond for us!!!

We loved our stay in the property. Very boho vibe. Only thing was the hot water in the shower is never in sync it’s either boiling hot or cold water. But because it’s warm in Tulum cold water shower worked out okay. One min walk to the beach with water like you are bathing just used to make our day. Really good tasting food in the Loco , but very very expensive. But it’s the same everywhere in Tulum in the Hotel zone. Staff were really friendly and made our stay very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. Wonderful customer service, great location, safe and one of the best restaurants in the front of property, Loco Tulum. I would give it a 5 star but we had a front casita and the music was loud from the restaurant. Not a big deal but we older and go to bed early. The sink and shower had salty water. But they told us about it and they provided clean water to drink and use to brush our teeth:) You also are given complimentary access to a beach club. Great value for the cost. Across the street hotels are around $500 a night.

I had a fantastic stay at casa coyote. Host Ivo is very professional and kind in welcoming me to the place and stayed consistently communicative throughout my stay when I needed anything. All the staff members are kind and welcoming. It’s absolutely amazing value for the price of the place. Lots of food and shopping around the area. One advice : bring bug spray! I was eaten alive hahaha…

I was there during the time of Hurricane Beryl. Ivo was very accommodating. When the hurricane was approaching, he kept us informed on how to prepare for the storm, as well as changing our rooms to make us more comfortable. Ivo was very welcoming and patient, as I shared I was worried about the storm. Nicolas was also helpful. Helping us to navigate the property and surrounding area. The property was serene and provided a quiet and peaceful experience. The restaurant in front provided some of the best food on the strip. I would definitely go back.

Amazing place to stay! So incredibly happy I stayed at Casa Coyote for my mini solo trip. The whole experience was seamless from beginning to end. Ivo was friendly, responsive and always helpful when needed. There is 24 hour security so I felt very safe as a solo traveler. Can’t wait to return! I definitely will be back and would highly recommend Casa Coyote.

This is a great little hotel as its nic e and quiet however it is a bit far from the main resteraunt area.

Inexpensive and good location for South Tulum. 15-20min walk into the party zone area. Hotel is dog friendly.

This is an absolutely nice place to stay while you explore Tulum. Spacious and well decorated rooms with all you need for a pleasant stay. Very responsive staff. A rooftop where you can swim in the pool and see the most beautiful sunsets in Tulum. Few steps from the beach, literally 1 min walking. And so many options around. Their restaurant Loco Tulum has amazing food. I will definitely recommend it.

The food is too pricy in the hotel restaurant. A domestic beer costs 100.00 MX pesos and across the street cost 15%less. Also a beer by the Playa Paraiso cost 45%less

Such a cute little hotel in the hotel zone and a great value for the price. Room was basic but clean and nicely decorated and the AC worked well and the shower was hot. Complimentary breakfast was delicious as well. Would definitely come back and stay again!

Coolt och spännande hotel nära stranden men dessuten mitt i djungel, ca 5 min att gå till stranden.. (det ligger på djungel sidan) så bra location med många restauranter och butikker i närheten. Vårt rum var fint inrett och det fanns också en takterass! Glöm inte ta med ficklampa då elen gick och det var otroligt mörkt att gå hem på kvällen. Vi hade dock läst att det ingick kontinental frukost och beach access men på beach cluben var vi tvungen att betala för att ligga ca 2000 pesos som var dyrare än många andra beach club med betydligt högre och bättre standard. Den kontinentala frukosten hade 3 alternativ och det ingick inte vatten, te eller juice så det + allt annat extra som bröd osv skulle köpas vid sidan av.. det var inte billigt där och de som jobbade talade ingen engelska och tog dricks både 15 % inkluderat i notan som de inte informerade om + att de stod och bad/krävde om minst 15 % dricks efter så vi betalade ca 600-800 pesos för frukost varje morgon som skulle vara inkluderat. Stället borde ta bort den informationen då det är otroligt missvisande och tolkas som ”allt är inkluderat”. Hade vi vetat detta hade vi definitivt valt ett annat ställe. Vi bodde i 3 nätter och fick varken nytt toalettpapper, handdukar eller dusch tvål. Det enda de gjorde var att bädda sängen när dom ”städade”. För priset vi betalade känner jag inte det var värt det tyvärr. Trevligt ställe men både information, service och städning måste definitivt jobbas på eller ändras.

This spot is one of the few affordable places to stay on the strip, and comes with all the character and most of the amenities you'd want in Tulum. I'll stay there again. Also - just beneath there's one of the better restaurants around the area. Overpriced as expected, but worth a try.
