Excellent central location, helpful staff (eg valet parking my rental car). Im normally someone who finds having natural light important, so was a bit worried about the lack of it, but having the skylight and the doors into an internal courtyard was fine - it works in a historic building like this.

Staff here is nice, but the hotel itself is really not a 4* hotel. We were in January and the room temperature was really cold when we arrived. Asked for a heater-they have none. Also, there is a fan in the room, so hotel could have just bought a fan who not just cools but also warms the weather or install an a/c. Also there was no hot water an evening we arrived. The staff on the frontdesk and the restaurant barely speaks english so it is really hard to communicate. Breakfast are very limited as for 4*. Parking costs extra.

L hôtel est bien situé. La chambre familiale que nous avions été humide mais propre. Nous avons été déçus par la douche, pas de pression le premier jour et eau froide le second. Le petit déjeuner inclus était moyen mais surtout, nous avons été facturés en supplément du pain (sans être prévenus en avance, le pain ne fait apparemment pas partie du petit déjeuner…) au moment du départ… C est également à ce moment là que l accueil a insisté pour nous facturer le parking alors que nous n y avions pas stationné notre véhicule. Bref, on reste sur une note amère pour cet hôtel pas très honnête.

Very pretty hotel and excellent service. They welcomed me with a mezcalina and the next day we had breakfast included. It was very close from el zocalo and a lot of restaurants around us. Love it!

Delightful place to call home for a few nights. Beautiful building with lots of indoor plants. Nice breakfast provided each morning. Borrowed bikes from the front desk for one day, that was fun! Easy to walk to anything central from this location.

Beautiful classic Hotel, with historical colonial interior. Romatic, small in size perfect to avoid crowds. Close to Zocalo. Personel was always nice and helpful. Our windows opened to the street, that was a treat. Very clean.

El hotel es muy lindo, tal como aparece en las fotos, si vas de negocios, no te hospedes aquí, el internet es pésimo, tenía una clase que tomar por la tarde y en la habitación me fue imposible conectarme, me dijeron que podía hacerlo en el área de restaurante, la señal era mejor pero muy inestable, tuve que tomar la clase sin video para poder escuchar. En la habitación ni siquiera cargaban redes sociales. Sólo desayuné 1 día y no fue muy buena la comida, pedí un extra de cecina y no me gustó. Cabe mencionar que el personal en todo momento fueron muy atentos. En resumen, si no necesitas internet, es un buen lugar para hospedarte, limpio, cómodo, buena cama y bien ubicado.

We stayed two nights. The hotel is convenient, but at night the noise level either from people partying, but all night long there was a banging noise, perhaps from some bird. One night partiers until very late, and the other night a banging noise all night long and during the day it seem to be gone. Because the hotel is open you can hear every conversation from the first floor. The toilet didn't work and even after tell them once and they said it was fixed it was not.

Algo que no me había pasado en ningún hotel, si en tus opciones de pago pones pagar en hotel, significa que pagarás en el hotel, da igual la tarjeta que tengas añadida en tu aplicación, cuando llegué ya me habían cargado el importe de la habitación, antes de haber hecho el cheking, lo que me supuso un problema

The building gorgeous and epic. The inner courts are beautifully designed and are cool in middle of day. The breakfast is simple but well made with care. The staffeare also very professional and helpful. I totally suggest this as the base to walk and explore the center

We booked and paid up front for this hotel at 15:00 on Sunday 17 Sept whilst in Mexico City and accidentally entered the wrong date - we entered Sunday 17 Sept instead of Monday 18 Sept. We contacted the hotel and they referred us back to Hotels.com. The agent there was extremely helpful and rang the hotel to see if they would change the booking. Unfortunately, they refused to do so. We therefore booked another hotel in Pueblo. At approx 15:15 (24 hours later) we received a message from The Angel hotel saying they would move the date. I explained we had already booked and paid up front and could they move the date to Monday 25 Sept when we would be returning to Pueblo. Not even the courtesy of a response. They just ignored our request. As it happens the hotel we booked (Hotel Casa del la Palma) was in the heart of the historic quarter in a lovely tree lined road illuminated with tree lights at night.
