The hotel is new, modern and very nice. The rooms very good. The HUGE disappointment is the pool - they call it outdoor, but its not lets face it. Also, for a hotel that has 33 floors of rooms, the pool fits about 20 people in it. There were kids with massive blow ups jumping everywhere etc. it wasnt relaxing ONE bit. I wouldnt stay here again, purely as there is nowhere to relax by the pool in the hotel. For such a luxury hotel, it was a massive turn off. Sorry, you stuffed up there.

Amazing hotel. I was in the "lowest" room type and it was spectacular. Very high tech in the room, every lighting option and even the curtains can be controlled from a console on the bedside table. The pool and bar area gets a special mention. Amazing stuff.

Very good stay. Great room and shower/tub. Excellent view of the river. Comfortable bed and room clean. Staff courteous and friendly. Enjoyed the pool and wet bar area. Excellent breakfast. Valet quick and good. Only irritation is the music which is loud and played in the wet bar and reception. Cannot hear anyone speak. Conveniently sited. Will go back for sure.

Amazing property and enjoyed our stay. Lifts were a bit slow sometimes. Great gym and pool. Could do with a toilet brush in the toilet. Teas were lovely but some complimentary cookies would have been nice.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The customer service was absolutely top-notch—staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. The facilities, ambiance, and location were also excellent, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. However, housekeeping was the one area that fell short. We’re not sure if it’s the norm here, but their service seemed minimal—just refilling toiletries and making the bed, without actual cleaning done daily. One of our towels even had a hole, and there was no refill of laundry bags throughout our stay. The amenities provided also felt a bit lacking for the price we paid—items like cotton buds, hand wash, combs, and hair ties were missing. Additionally, the bathtub leaked onto the floor every time we released the water, and we weren’t sure if that was intentional or a design flaw. Overall, while we enjoyed our stay, we do hope the hotel can improve its housekeeping standards to match the otherwise excellent service they provide.

Staff were amazing and friendly, particularly check in/check out lady and the lovely lady that delivered our breakfast in the morning. However, the downsides were that the air conditioning was not cold enough for me despite putting it on the coldest temperature with the highest fan setting, I felt hot all night. There also didn’t feel like there was any air conditioning in the elevators. Additionally, unfortunately on arrival, despite the bed and towels looking very clean, tidy and presentable, there were 2 dirty drinking cups left in the room along with a ‘drink on arrival’ sign which with no drink which had obviously been left from last person and there. There was also only 1 pair of slippers and 1 small bottle of water. I think whoever set up the room, must have just missed a few things. Overall it was ok, but without a great nights sleep due to the heat I wouldn’t stay again.

Our 3 night stay was ok but unfortunately didn't match the price paid for the rooms or for a 5 star hotel. We came for a short break and to relax but was looking forward to leaving. Positives: Nice view from a River View room with sunlight in the afternoon Gym was big and uncrowded Foyer is nice Staff are lovely Not so great things Housekeeping at 3.30/4pm everyday is so inconvenient and not a 5 star experience. We would come back to an unmade room each day after walking the city all day then have to leave when the cleaner came around The cleaner did not vaccum or wipe anything down. The same fluff on the floor was there for days in addition to the ironing board left out in front of the tv. The bedding linen feels cheap and worn and the polyester pillows have an uncomfortable feeling compared to say The Sofitel. The bedding doesn't feel luxe or enticing to lay on. The staff member that entered into our room unannounced on the first day (when my husband was in the bathroom) asking for another guest made us feel like anyone could barge in the door. The loud all-night roadworks downstairs were not known to us before booking creating a disturbed sleep (yes you can hear it all night, not sure when it will stop). The River View rooms can also hear highway traffic. Overall it just wasn't a relaxing stay and after 3 nights of interrupted sleep on cheap bedding, we couldn't wait to check out and move on. Next time we will head to the Westin and the new Star hotel when it opens

Had one of the worst nights sleep in this hotel, firstly the air conditioning barely worked, despite being on high fan and the lowest temperature setting causing me to wake up hot and sweaty, secondly, there was a 3 inch gap when fully closed in the blockout blinds, so when the sun rose the light beamed straight into the room, again waking me up. Lastly, there is little to no noise proofing so any hallway noises travel into your room. This is not what I expect from a 5 star hotel.

The place is amazing. However when we were poolside we struggled to get our drinks and food order taken by anyone, then our drinks were forgotten. Staff walked right past us without cleaning our plates or drinks or offering more. We were prepared to stay a while and have few drinks while our kids swam but this didn’t happen. Same service style at dinner as well. But overall amenities are amazing.

Couldn't check in until 3pm, even after calling and organising a early check in, they didn't even arrange that for us. There was no communication at all. The hotel room was on the 21sy floor and it was super noisy being right next to a busy road, the pillows were like really lumpy and hurt our necks. For a room that cost $1000 we only got a small bottle of water complimentary that's it Staff were lovely tho but had popr communication skills.

Best hotel experience in Australia! We’ve stayed at many hotels all over the world and honestly, we usually don’t expect the best service in Australia. But this time was completely different. From valet and check-in to breakfast and check-out, every staff member was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was my 10-month-old son’s very first hotel experience, and the team made it so special. At breakfast, they offered him oatmeal porridge and scrambled eggs without seasoning, and the chef even prepared steamed tomato and potato just for him—without me even asking! He left with such a happy, full tummy. We were truly impressed and touched by the thoughtfulness and level of service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our time at the W was a perfect getaway. The staff were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The facilities were first class & the location was super convenient to the city and Southbank. Whilst there is a lot of construction taking place around Brisbane at present our room was quiet and the views out over the river were spectacular. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel that actualy lives up to its reputation. Only issue i had was room service main meal had no cover on it which meant I had to eat that first before my starter which was a cold dish anyway. Apart from that would certainly stay here again. Staff were faultless in every respect and eager to help.
