La recepción a la llegada es cálida, sin embargo hay un olor un poco desagradable a humedad. Rooms were great, breakfast was fabulous.. However, water for shower was not hot.. Lukewarm at best, lounge chairs around the pool were broken, we were given two bottles of water in the room... Then you had to buy water.. Only one bag of coffee /room/day. Staff were great..

It was a good experience in this hotel, the only problem was the elevator, we stayed for two weeks and we only used it two days, the buffet was not good at all. Staff very friendly and at service 24/7.

Room was great, very comfortable beds. We were told our breakfast was included, then after we ate, they said THEY made a mistake & it wasn’t, so we had to pay 500 pesos. The lady at the restaurant was very rude & insisted we pay for their mistake. The gym was under construction so we couldn’t use it. There was always a peacock on the stairs with his $hit all over the stairs.

The hotel was a great value! Room and balcony were huge! The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. The grounds were lovely. The pool is partially covered, they have peafoul which is fun, a small play area, hammocks and loungers. Parking was easy. The hotel is conveniently located and about a 10 block walk from Plaza Grande. There are other cute areas such as Parque St Lucia even closer. We had two queen size beds, a dining table, a couch, a counter and mini fridge. The bathroom was clean and spacious.There was a sulphur smell that we suspect was the water. We experience the same smell in certain areas of the US also. There is a restaurant onsite. It was pricey for the quality of the food. We suggest eating elsewhere but it is nice in a pinch. The towels were rather scratchy and not plush but we have found that to be common in the region. A note to non-Spanish speaking guests, much of the staff spoke Spanish only. However, the front desk staff spoke English and we communicated with the other staff with their limited English and our limited Spanish.

We liked that it had free parking. Priced ok. Pictures dont reflect wear and tear and poor maintenance of the propertt and grounds. Ie: torn curtains, rusted bath fixtures, poor lighting, sewer smell in parts of the hotel.

The units are not very well noise insulated. One night there were a group of people partying down the hall until 2 am. There’s no easy way to call the front desk so I had to go downstairs to ask the concierge to ask them to be quiet. He did, but they were still pretty loud. Another night there were dogs barking at each other outside until 3 am. The setup of the shower also didn’t make a lot of sense and water pooled all over the floor even when I was trying to be careful. Despite wanting to be eco-friendly, I had to mop up the floor each night with my extra towel or else I’d easily slip going to the bathroom afterwards. Oh and my keycard kept resetting daily so I needed to get it fixed each day. Otherwise, a sufficiently clean place.

A nice surprise! The suite was even larger than we expected. The balcony had 2 glass sliding sets of doors to access it, and a small balcony off the kitchenette area. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, great AC, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. The pool was great & the garden beautiful! There is a pair of resident peacocks that live in the garden/pool area of the hotel. A male & female that are very calm, but you may hear them in the morning. There is also a school that backs up to the pool area, so if that kind of noise bothers you be sure you do get a room above the pool. We actually enjoyed the peacocks & the noise of children going to school! We did not eat at the restaurant. Sunday morning there was a band & the music was extremely loud. There are many great restaurants nearby, so we never tried the hotel restaurant again. Paseo 60 is 2 blocks away; it has restaurants, breweries, wine bar, shopping and a ADO bus station. Parque Santa Ana is about 8 blocks in the opposite direction. Paseo de Montejo & mansions, museum’s & interesting sights is about 3 blocks away. We would definitely stay again.

The place and the people are excellent. The garden is beautiful, and there's parking available. The shampoo and body wash come in large bottles and are not in small disposable containers, which is a plus especially since you're in Mérida, where the heat is intense and you might need to shower up to three times a day. In my opinion, there's a lot of noise because events are held downstairs, and the rooms don't have proper soundproofing.

En el restaurante ofrecen desayuno buffete, solo quería tomar un café. Me lo cobraron a 35 pesos lo cuál está bien, el café tibio, después vino el mesero a aclarar que si quería más café debía pagar otro porque no había refill, lo cuál me pareció de muy mal tacto hacia un huésped dado que al restaurante no le significa ningún costo adicional servir un refill de café al huésped durante un desayuno buffet. Deben cuidar más estos detalles porque habla muy mal del servicio y cuidado al huésped. El costo de dejar molesto al cliente por algo que no le significa costo adicional al hotel es perder al cliente y recibir reviews como está que mucha gente leerá.

Hotel is off main thoroughfares so was quiet. We still had very easy access to Paseo de Montego with an easy two minute walk. Paseo 60 was a short walk away for several excellent restaurants. Hotel itself was immaculate! Very clean top to bottom with a stunning courtyard and pool area. From the gentleman at front door to front desk to the ladies that clean the room, the staff was incredibly helpful and nice. As i am fluent in Spanish, i cannot talk to their level of another language, but while i was in hotel, i meet people from France, Brasil, and Germany there so the place does have a great reputation in other countries. I will stay here again next time i come to Merida. Side note, also ample parking if you drive or rent a car.

El hotel palacio maya, ha ido cambiando ya no es lo que era antes, llevo desde casi 4 años hospedándose aquí y en las últimas par de ocasiones he comprobado que ya es diferente, su personal ha cambiado y ya no son tan amables como solían ser, no hay comunicación entre ellos, aún no dan las 12 y ya te están llamando a tu habitación para pedirte que te salgas, siento que me ha ido decepcionando su servicio del personal, porque la locación la verdad es que es excelente pero su personal cada vez deja más que desear

El hotel está en una ubicación excelente, a unas pocas cuadras de Paseo Montejo. El personal excelente y la habitación limpia y cómoda. Comimos en el buffet de la mañana, que es muy variado y de buena calidad. Solo tuvimos un detalle con el baño, ya que la regadera salpicaba mucho y fue difícil regular el agua para que no inundara buena parte del baño. Sin embargo, al día siguiente la mucama nos dejó unas toallas para el piso y con eso resolvimos.

El restaurant es bueno. la amabilidad del personal es muy buena. En la habitacion poco espacio para guardar la ropa. Colgar la ropa es imposible ya que los ganchos no se pueden sacar. En recepcion pedí de favor me cambiaran un billete y me dijeron que no tenian...siendo un hotel deben prestar servicio al cliente y apoyarlo. En recepcion pedi otra tarjeta para entrar a la habitacion ya que eramos 2 personas y tambien me la negaron. Muuy retirado del centro.

En general es un buen hotel, limpio, las habitaciones son cómodas, los colchones para mi gusto han perdido algo de firmeza, el buffet en el desayuno está bien a secas, la alberca esta limpia no tiene calefacción pero con el calor que hace no hace falta, pero en la zona de la barra de bebidas nunca había nadie que atendiera. Se llega caminando fácilmente al Paseo Montejo, su estacionamiento es muy conveniente. Recomendaría este hotel como una buena opción para hospedarse en Mérida.

We stayed in this hotel for nine weeks and thought it was nice. It’s midsized, meaning not big and anonymous like the Hilton, yet not as small and intimate as some traditional family run hotels in Mexico. The hotel is a two and a half block walk to Montejo, which is a long walkable boulevard filled with restaurants and night spots, and perhaps a kilometer north of the Zocalo. So, it’s central but not in the middle of the crowds. Staff is friendly and prompt.

The staff was great very helpful. They have a breakfast buffet everyday if you don’t get a table early you will have to leave the hotel for your meal. Overall our stay was good and the area is very walkable, which helped in making our stay more enjoyable.
