Wonderful place to stay. Was in town for a 4 day dog show and was made to feel very welcome. Room was comfy, amazing bathroom, grounds are lovely and the lounge is amazing! We had wine tasting in the lounge one night and a bonfire the next.

Great revamp of an old motel. Rooms are comfy and clean. Great fire pit. Walkable to the town center and other cool areas. Great breakfast restaurant across the street. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a really easy check-in and were able to get up to our room no problem even though we checked in late. The only minor thing is that it was hard to find parking as the overflow lot was also full. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The next morning we walked to a great breakfast place just across the street.

There were two hairs on my pillow upon entering my room. The bed was made but the sheets were wrinkled it a way that didn’t make me feel like everything was washed? The bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were so tall and firm my neck hurt the next day. Overall, it looked well maintained but didn’t feel clean. No elevator, no help to carry bags upstairs.

While I appreciated the retro feel, the cold cement floors were not comfortable. Do not stay here without sleep socks or slippers. The mattress was comfortable but the all white comforter meant I was going to get charged an extra cleaning fee since I spent all day at a dog show. It was worth the money BUT the biggest drawback is the parking. I scraped my car - my fault, I guess - because it was so tight. However, the people were lovely and I would stay here again - just not forget my slippers!

This was such a cool spot. It's furnished with fun, vintage decor, a super cool mid century modern vibe, with lots of original pieces from local artists. If you fall in love with something in your room, you can take it home with you...all for sale! There's a small bar on site called the Louche Lounge that was super cool. Ambiance fantastic, knowledgeable bartender, interesting drink options, local liquors. There's a huge fire pit and courtyard with tables and beautiful landscaping, including a tribute art install by a well known local artist. The parking is limited in front of the hotel, and overflow parking, while super close, included some colorful individuals making themselves comfortable hanging in front of liquor store. The neighborhood has lots of character, felt safe, but there is a lingering element of The Astro's darker days. Staff was friendly and efficient, the room was clean and unique, bed comfortable, linens nice. A great spot, we would return and have recommended to friends.

The floor in my room was concrete with stains and cracks from the past. Just because they accept pets shouldnt mean they cant get some linoleum or vinyl to make the floors more comfortable to walk on barefoot. Towels were in the closet across the sink area from the shower. Tiles in front of the sink are VERY slippery when wet.

I was excited to stay here and initial communication was great. Had requested a ground floor room due to mobility and received a msg back several days before our arrival that they had it all taken care of. Unfortunately when we arrived they had us upstairs and there were no more double rooms which is what I had booked. They then were going to give us 2 rooms, 1 upstairs and 1 down but only after I had told him the one bed would not work. We really wanted to stay together so ended up with a rollaway bed which really aren't meant for adults. I went in the next morning and talked to the manager who apologized and said she would look and see how she could compensate us for the issue. Seemed nice but never heard a word again. All on all a very frustrating and disappointing experience. As for the room, it was clean. The bed is VERY firm, like caused body parts to fall asleep firm. The rollaway was short but the mattress was better. There was hair stuck to the blankets we were given for the rollaway, not pleasant to see. The pillows were quite fat, though one they brought for the rollaway was nice. The shower had decent water pressure though we struggled at first to figure out how to get the water hot, it's the button on the handle if you have that one that does it. The shower gel smelled and felt wonderful. AC is LOUD and rattles. Granola truly is as good as everyone says. Lots of yogurt flavors and muffins. If we had received the room we booked it would have been an ok stay.

Had a great stay while my husband was a patient at a nearby hospital. Very clean, quiet and comfortable, and it was nice to have the option of housekeeping as often as you want/need it. Centrally located for easy access to shopping, restaurants, parks and hospitals.

I expected a bit more for a three and a half star place. Pros: Staff was nice and informative. Enjoyed finding out some details of the motel.The grounds were nice with beautiful outdoor seating. Care was obviously taken with decorating with unique outdoor seating options and unique antique decor. The room had a nice size frig. The vanity was outside the bathroom making it easier for two people to get ready in the morning. Cons: the biggest surprises were the lack of coffee pot in the room and the lack of continental breakfast choices. The coffee in the lounge was good, but the only choices were maple granola, some fruit, and yogurt. The information on the website mention pastries, but there were none and we were there early. I was content with yogurt and fruit, but surprised. While the bathroom shower was a nice rain shower, the towels were what you might expect at a motel 6. The floor was cement, but I knew to expect that and appreciate that it can be kept clean, but it can be cold. Unique boutique motel with some nice features. Pillows were over stuffed and very uncomfortable- Also no place to hang towels except 2 hooks on the back of door (beeded 2 more n xt to the shower). No counter space for toiletries. No towels in kitchenette, Road noise moderate, location in town good and good parking.

I liked the funky decor but the concrete floor was very cold, and only a tiny rug on one side of the bed. They advertise a 'continental breakfast' but it was only yogurt and granola, apples and oranges. I was unable to eat that. A continental breakfast should include pastries or something. We like to eat prior to getting back on the road, so this was inconvenient and misleading. Bed was very comfortable though.

Been meaning to book this location for some time. The stars aligned and I was back in town and stayed here. Room was big, bathroom was just as big!! Very clean and comfortable. Downside, room that size could benefit from a bigger bed. I get the rustic minimalist approach but with a room that size you need furniture to absorb sound! why you ask? Because there is NO carpet in this room!! I got a 1st floor room that sits on concrete slab. So conversations echoed, it made it feel like we were using "outdoor" voices indoors. Tv sound echos.

Casually racist experience where at check in, the mood towards me was a 180 degree change from the guests who were Caucasian before me where they were extremely warmly welcomed. I was asked in a non friendly way if I was related to Ali Wong because of my last name being the same and then my dog was made fun of with it's breed being Mexican where the tone was sarcastic. The second staff member then came in to interrupt the checkin process and then started to check in the second guest waiting while the other person was still talking to me. I couldn't hear. It was also strange when they walk you to your room which I see as an attempt to be of good service, but then leave you in the room without your bags and close the door with no lights on. Just generally a really strange experience. The room was clean and environment is quiet.

It was also strange when they walk you to your room which I see as an attempt to be of good service, but then leave you in the room without your bags and close the door with no lights on. There was no staff to check in when we got there. There was a sign to call a number. I called the number but only got a recording to leave a message. Left a message with my number but nobody called back. After waiting a while I was about to cancel when somebody finally showed up to help with the check in. A real waste of time.

Found this place for a last minute stay and was not disappointed. The service was great, very attentive. Cleanliness from the lobby, to the room and the lounge was great. Loved the big mini fridge in the room. We got the suite with a patio and loved it. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thank you to Matt and his team!

I was excited to stay here and initial communication was great. Had requested a ground floor room due to mobility and received a msg back several days before our arrival that they had it all taken care of. Unfortunately when we arrived they had us upstairs and there were no more double rooms which is what I had booked. They then were going to give us 2 rooms, 1 upstairs and 1 down but only after I had told him the one bed would not work. We really wanted to stay together so ended up with a rollaway bed which really aren't meant for adults. I went in the next morning and talked to the manager who apologized and said she would look and see how she could compensate us for the issue. Seemed nice but never heard a word again. All on all a very frustrating and disappointing experience. As for the room, it was clean. The bed is VERY firm, like caused body parts to fall asleep firm. The rollaway was short but the mattress was better. There was hair stuck to the blankets we were given for the rollaway, not pleasant to see. The pillows were quite fat, though one they brought for the rollaway was nice. The shower had decent water pressure though we struggled at first to figure out how to get the water hot, it's the button on the handle if you have that one that does it. The shower gel smelled and felt wonderful. AC is LOUD and rattles. Granola truly is as good as everyone says. Lots of yogurt flavors and muffins. If we had received the room we booked it would have been an ok stay.

We had a really easy check-in and were able to get up to our room no problem even though we checked in late. The only minor thing is that it was hard to find parking as the overflow lot was also full. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The next morning we walked to a great breakfast place just across the street.

I arrived after office had closed, phoned the number posted, and was directed step by step over the phone, how to get my key and find my room. It would have been nice to have coffee in the room, but breakfast & coffee were available in the lounge til 11:30 am.

This is a fun unusual hotel. It has been completely redone with a variety of mid century furnishings and decor, every room is different. The staff is extremely nice, and the breakfast of yogurt and locally made granola was really good. Easy walk to Luther Burbank house and garden. Also another large park right across the street.

Unique renovated mid-century motel with inspiring decor and a garden courtyard worthy of meditation. Breakfast included locally sourced granola, yogurt and coffee. Located in an artsy neighborhood with really nice parks in walking distance. I recommend the restaurant across the street for breakast or lunch. If you want a walk or run, the Santa Rosa river trail is 2 blocks away. Only drawback is you need to use overflow parking when they are busy, but it is free.

Had a great stay while my husband was a patient at a nearby hospital. Very clean, quiet and comfortable, and it was nice to have the option of housekeeping as often as you want/need it. Centrally located for easy access to shopping, restaurants, parks and hospitals.

I expected a bit more for a three and a half star place. Pros: Staff was nice and informative. Enjoyed finding out some details of the motel.The grounds were nice with beautiful outdoor seating. Care was obviously taken with decorating with unique outdoor seating options and unique antique decor. The room had a nice size frig. The vanity was outside the bathroom making it easier for two people to get ready in the morning. Cons: the biggest surprises were the lack of coffee pot in the room and the lack of continental breakfast choices. The coffee in the lounge was good, but the only choices were maple granola, some fruit, and yogurt. The information on the website mention pastries, but there were none and we were there early. I was content with yogurt and fruit, but surprised. While the bathroom shower was a nice rain shower, the towels were what you might expect at a motel 6. The floor was cement, but I knew to expect that and appreciate that it can be kept clean, but it can be cold. Unique boutique motel with some nice features. The staff was the tipping point for a positive stay. Friendly and informative.

I liked the funky decor but the concrete floor was very cold, and only a tiny rug on one side of the bed. They advertise a 'continental breakfast' but it was only yogurt and granola, apples and oranges. I was unable to eat that. A continental breakfast should include pastries or something. We like to eat prior to getting back on the road, so this was inconvenient and misleading. Bed was very comfortable though.

The only reason I’m giving a 3 star review is solely based on the included breakfast options. It was only coffee/tea, an apple and yogurt with granola. I call this a continental breakfast. Staff was friendly, helpful, and accessible. Grounds were impeccably clean as were the rooms. Retro but super comfortable. Casper mattresses were great! Free breakfast was locally sourced granola, yogurt, fruit and great coffee! Will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.
