A basic hotel but large room and all the necessary facilities. Excellent value for Perth and friendly staff. 10 minutes walk to city centre but close to the river and sports facilities. On what appears to be a main road but very quiet even when there was a match at the nearby stadium.

The soap and gel containers in the room did not work. I had to ask twice before someone came to fix. There were no spoons, cutlery, cup saucers for making tea. There were coffee rings on the bench tops. There was no evacuation details in case of fire in the room (or anywhere visible in the building) and no info about how to contact front desk reception. No info in the room about Perth or what to see near by.

The hotel had scheduled a examination of the electricity system for one hour during my stay. I was only informed that the electricity was to be shut down and that I had to bring my luggage down the lift within 5 mins. This happened on the 23/1/2026. I had knee problem and struggled to climb down 10 flight of stairs from the 5th floor to the ground level. The hotel has a responsibility and duty for all guests to enjoy peace, safety and the duty of care that any maintenance that is to be carried out must be effectively and properly communicated to all guests. If I were to suffer an injury due to my knee problem would the hotel be willing to take responsibility for my medical costs and all related pain and trauma? The hotel has failed to comply with the occupational and safety hazards within the law and legislation for the operation of a hotel. I shared my experience with the staff on duty by the name of Agar who assured me that she will report the details of my experience and my expectation in receiving a formal reply from the top management. The incident that happened is totally unacceptable and I will be prepared to report my experience to Consumer Affairs and the Ombudsman.
