An Yang House

Everything was good except it was difficult to see the house number at night if you are there the first time. Parking on the street only. No access to the kitchen.

Anna, the host is very friendly. The kitchen is very clean and convenient. We can walk to nearby shopping mall in 10 minutes. Skyline station is a 5 minute walk.

It has a different entrance for clients like us. Safe and convinient to places such as mall, restaurants and near the cherry blossoms street.

Having read most of the recent reviews, based on my experience, it was definitely safe, quiet and a brilliant location for the Metrotown malls and public transport. I had excellent communication with Anna via the Hotels.com app. Quick responses and informative when it came to checking in and the WiFi. Just make sure to screenshot both of these messages as I forgot and hadn't set up my data plan yet when I left the airport which had free WiFi. Had the chance to stay in one of the deluxe rooms and the downstairs room with a separate bathroom. Please read other guests' reviews on these as I found their reviews to be spot on. One bathroom towel and flannel is provided with two complimentary bottles of water and two snacks. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash is provided. What is not clear on the description is that there is a separate area for guests to use the washing machine (clothes detergent provided), dryer and a kitchen where you can store your food in a standard size fridge-freezer. Cutlery, plates and bowls are provided. I asked Anna about using cutlery from her kitchen and she showed me this room that I wasn't aware of. This is located next to the garage. This was an additional service that I wasn't aware of and was happy that it was provided. Overall, safe, clean, comfortable and spot on location for my exploration of the city. I've already recommended her guesthouse to a friend for future travels. If I come back to Vancouver, I would definitely book this place again

This was just what I needed. Close to the Metro. Clean. Easy. Friendly communication. I arrived terribly late but with the code it didn't matter (of course I communicated that I was arriving late). I would definitely stay again. The tea kettle and cups, water, crisps, were appreciated.

Anna, the owner is very nice and accomodating. I Love that it’s only 10mins walk to the Shopping mall and Skytrain station. Also it’s very Safe in the area, i just wish my room have air conditioned as it’s summer,and my son don’t like the heat. but in Spring,Fall or winter it should be fine.But overall it’s excellent. Will come back and stay to this house on my next trip to Vancouver

Very nice house. 5-10 min drive to shopping, restaurants. Parking is on the street outside the house but very quiet neighborhoods.

no air conditioning. had to leave windows open and drapes open so it was difficult sleeping. room was upstairs no elevator.

Had a good stay here overall. Quiet street with good parking on street options, plus walkable to the metro. Great cafe just up the road. Anna was very friendly. The room itself was a little on the small side, and a bit worse for wear decor wise. Cleanliness could be improved (cob webs and dusty surfaces etc). With solid surfaces on all walls and floors in the room and in the corridor it was also quite noisy - could hear into both adjoining rooms, corridor and the rest of the house. Some soft closers on the doors or perhaps a rug or two may be a quick fix though!

The neighbourhood was nice and the property was okay. The room was too small. There was barely enough room to move around the bed. The owner was very kind, friendly, and helpful, but it was obvious that she lacked the basic skills of cleaning a "hotel room". At first glance, the room looked clean, but in no time we noticed that the corners and edges were very dusty (behind the nightstands, or the entrance/corridor leading to the rooms for example). The furniture is old. The kettle provided had a brown bottom (burnt limescale). When we reported this, the owner replaced it at once, though trying to convince us that this was normal, nothing dangerous, just limescale. I had to explain to her that the limescale may be cleaned very easily with a few drops of white vinegar. The toilet seat was damaged and discoloured, making it look very dirty. For less than 20% of the night's price, it could have been replaced and left a better impression on visitors. In short the room lacked maintenance and it was too expensive for what it was.

This is a good place to stay. Property owner is nice and friendly. Guests were quiet and property is very safe. I didn’t hear noise from other guests. Entrance door was close to my bedroom but I never noticed people going in or out. Bathroom was large. It could have been a littler cleaner to make the whole stay more pleasant.

The room was really small - which is okay. The desk was not quite big enough to comfortably put my laptop on. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was provided. WiFi was also provided. The host was really accommodating. My wife likes to have an extra pillow to put between her legs at night and no issue getting that. The window handle was broken, which did not make it easy to open the window, and therefore the circulation was poor. If you just need your basic needs met, then this place will do what you need and more. I would definitely come here again.

just 10 minutes walk from Metrotown station. Walmart and Shopping center Metropolis are nearby within walking distance. The hostess is very kind and nice. Everything was perfect except for one defect which is the bad soundproof effect of the wall. The room I stayed is on the ground floor. sometimes I can hear coughing next door or noise from upstairs.

The property is a nice house with good room. The price is good value for money. The TV was not working though and still not working when I depart. The house keeper left her guests alone. It is ok but it would be nice if she could ask if we want to change towels and clean waste basket.

They should provide a small table at least. Hang the TV on the wall to provide space since it’s really tight but a table even just a tiny one should be provided because there are 2 chairs.

Quiet house and simple room. Furnishings are dated. Host is a nice lady. No frills. Nice backyard. Safe neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay. Host was friendly and always available. Bathroom large and comfortable. All working 100%. Bed was comfortable. Room maybe a little small to put luggage and bags. In general very happy with my stay

The location is great, convenient and accessible to Skytrain, shopping malls and dining places. Landlord is nice and helpful. But the room is clean but a bit small, just for sleeping purpose. One bad experience, one of the nights of our stay, the electric power was tripped off suddenly which might be due to the fuse was blew (I thought). We tried all means to contact the landlord to fix it but to no avail. No direct contact number is provided except leaving messages on the website. All night dark for the small room😠. The issue was only fixed eventually in the next morning 😠

Bed was hard and very noisy when you moved room very ugly and old host never answer the phone or door when we needed something we arrived at 4pm and left at 11pm unable to sleep in such an awful bed found a hotel much better never book a guest house again.Complaint to owner and Expedia and refund issued

Anna was an amazing host! We’re very glad that we chose this property during our first time in Vancouver. Location is great & the room was simple but had everything we needed. Anna was very flexible with our special accommodations & requests. Would definitely stay here again!

Chambre et literie confortable, salle de bain d'une bonne taille, douche et serviettes de bain agréables . Le metro est à 10mns et il y a un resto à 2mn pour le petit-déjeuner. Pas de problèmes pour se garer dans la rue si vous êtes véhiculés.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at Anyang house. The location is great and can easily access Vancouver attractions by car. It is also close to the Metrotown mall. We highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut. Die Nachbarschaft ist ruhig und friedlich, durch die nah gelegene Mall (5 min zu Fuß) ist trotzdem alles schnell verfügbar.

The Metrotown Mall is a mere 10 min walk form this property and there you are spoilt for choice on shopping and dining options. Walmart, BestBuy, etc are all within 10 min walk. An is a cordial person and the property is quite good
