We stayed on the top floor in a corner suite, which was very well equipped with excellent views and a very cool vibe. Staff were very friendly. The fitness room was well equipped as well. Would stay here again without reservation.

The only down fall with my stay, was the EV charging stations were not working. Valet had to bring my car to Rideau Centre to charge it and I was doubled billed (hotel fee Tesla). To compensate for the extra charges, I was offered a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was very good.

Great modern rooms in a great location. Staff is all friendly and eager to help. Some cleaning got missed and while we knew we’d have to pay for parking (on top of our stay) we weren’t expecting it to be so expensive.

It’s a beautiful hotel. Front staff are very kind and friendly. Their parking situation needs to improve. Since their driveway is so very small, they need more staff out front on the road during check in times.

This is a beautiful, modern, environmentally friendly hotel with a boutique quality. One of our favourite hotel chains. Easy self-parking below the hotel or valet service. The restaurant/bar has a great modern vibe with excellent signature cocktails. The food is excellent although we didn’t have dinner this time around. The front desk staff are very helpful, the check in is seamless and the room was funky modern industrial with a touch of history. Absolutely enjoyed our stay once again.

A bit over designed, but nonetheless comfortable room. There were a few problems (e.g., getting strong shower pressure on the 12th floor; ours cut out at times), which we reported to the desk. The restaurant has a limited menu, but with a regional theme, and everything is well prepared. Close to Parliament Hill and many good restaurants. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Our stay at the hotel was decent for one night. Nothing special about the hotel. The rooms were not great for sound, you could hear the elevator clearly going up and down floors. First of all, this is the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Yes, there is some street noise but you really can't escape that. But I didn't hear any noise from other guests in the hall, in their rooms, in the elevators or anywhere else. The room was clean, airy and well-appointed. However, the modern open floorplan has the bathroom vanity and shower open to the entire room, which we weren't fans of. This is more a matter of taste - if you like that open loft feel, it won't bother you. Housekeeping missed us one day, which isn't that big a deal but is worth noting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The parking is shared with another facility, which means if you don't use the valet service you don't get in-out privileges, so it can get very expensive - I didn't like this. The million dollar question is always 'Would you stay there again'. My answer is no, but not because of anything the hotel did or didn't do. I just didn't enjoy the open-concept loft setup, especially the bathroom. We knew what we were getting when we booked the hotel - we just didn't like it as much as we thought we might.

The hotel and amenities were very nice! The restaurant in the hotel has amazing bread that’s made by the chef. The hotel staff are all very friendly and kind. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom area had heated floors. The curtains don’t fully block out the light so if you need to room dark the sun will slightly shine through the cracks. Hotel is right near the downtown and I’m walking distance of many thing.

The hotel was great. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and staff was great. FYI the bathrooms are open concept. All opened to the actual room besides the toilet, clear glass showers. The area was not the best area. Didn’t feel comfortable walking around alone.

Our second time staying at Le Germain and we had a great experience. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. I love the proximity to the ByWard Market, with dozens of dining options available in a short walk. I can't say enough about the staff. They were genuinely helpful and friendly at every point of contact - even if you were just sharing a brief elevator ride with them. We will definitely stay again.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed an extra night at Le Germain for a relaxing night away. The service was exceptional as the front desk staff were prompt and courteous. Our King suite was a surprise upgrade and the turn down service that night was such an amazing bonus we weren’t anticipating. The room was spacious and quiet. The soaker tub did not disappoint my high expectations. I’m certain we’ll be back.

After a long week on the road I went down Sat morning for breakfast. The 3 young ladies were in the weeds with only 6 tables. Waited for 10mins at a table not even a glass of water or offer of coffee… really expect more from this hotel. Will look elsewhere on my next trip to Ottawa. This Germain property is just not up to snuff.

The staff are amazing - right from the start when we drove up - James greeted us and wanted to help. The staff at the front desk are also very friendly - as well as the cleaning staff. Always smiling and wishing you a good day - I have never seen anything like this. The room was clean with good coffee and tea options. I would highly recommend this property. I would only ask for toilet paper that is 2 or 3 ply - I know that sounds trivial to mention, but that was the only thing that didn't fit the quality of the hotel.

Everything was fine except for 1 big problem. At checkout the person said that a receipt will be emailed to me, as the printed receipt was unclear due to a printer problem. Well, the receipt did not come. It took 3 emails to correct an error of misunderstanding on the hotel's part, as they were not planning to email a receipt. Finally a receipt did arrive. I do not understand the problem. It should not be difficult to fulfill their promise to email a receipt. This is not the way things should be for a hotel of this price range. This is unfortunate as it spoiled what was a very good stay otherwise. The concierge was excellent.

This property is very close to the Rideau Centre Mall and the Byward Market. You can walk everywhere. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Acces to entrance by car was confusing and awkward. Had to circle back in heavy traffic to sort it and even then had to pull a U turn in the street. The area around the hotel was unsafe for walking after dark.

Le Germain was a great hotel and conveniently located such that we could park the car and walk everywhere we wanted in downtown Ottawa. Close to the Byward Market, restaurants, etc. Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
