Stayed for just one night but really liked this property even though it was maybe a little expensive for just a 'room only' stay. Beautiful location in the private grounds of an old rectory surrounded by well kept gardens. Parking was in the grounds nearby and felt very secure. The check-in and arrival instructions were excellent, wi-fi connection was good and the room was clean with complimentary toiletries and coffee/tea. Our room was in the lodge building and was classed as small and cozy but it felt quite roomy with comfy chairs and table. It was a perfect size for our stay.

Very peaceful location in pretty village with thatched cottages and near the river for riverside walks. Good security and entry instructions emailed by host pre-arrival. Room was beautifully decorated and all very clean. Lovely shower. Great breakfast delivered to the room - choice of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, jam/marmalade, orange juice. (Perhaps a breakfast checklist could be an idea?) Good supply of tea & coffee bags provided in the room. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and listening to the birds (even heard the cuckoo!) and would definitely return on a future visit.
