The Beacon Makati by Christine Suites PH

I like the place is very nice and clean, but I wish I had the balcony because that was stated in the hotel description and it looks like the ad of us not updated.

I’ve stayed at Cristine’s Suite almost every year because of its unbeatable convenience; just a short walk to Greenbelt and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. They offer several decent and cozy units, and past stays have generally been pleasant. However, this year was a big disappointment. The unit assigned to us was infested with cockroaches, which immediately became a deal-breaker. Because of this, we decided not to extend our stay and will likely switch to hotels moving forward. Guests should also know that this is a very “do-it-yourself” type of accommodation. You’re expected to keep the place clean and make your own bed, which we never had an issue with. But throughout our many stays, they consistently forget to provide garbage bags, so we always end up buying our own. Another inconvenience is the strict no-early-check-in policy. Even if you just want to drop off your luggage, it’s not allowed, meaning you either wait for hours in the lobby or drag your bags around until check-in time. With all these hassles and the recent pest issue, this might be our last time staying there. Considering the inconvenience, hotels are starting to feel much more comfortable and even cheaper. Just one press of a button / call, they make up your room clean, fresh and roach free.

The unit assigned to us has a great interior. It is spacious and quiet. Hope we can stay there again next time.

The staff were very accommodating, and the unit owner was highly responsive. I had an incredibly smooth stay at this place—100% recommended over any other hotels nearby. The unit came with its own kitchen and complete cooking ware, which was very convenient. It also had a beautiful view and great facilities. The location is excellent as well, close to a supermarket and within walking distance to Greenbelt and other malls.

Manager was often unresponsive to questions. At one point at 2am the power was cut off and the front desk stated that she hadn't paid the electric bill. We also had to make arrangements to allow the maintenance crew time time enter to inspect the fire alarm.
