Stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Braintree. A good and comfortable hotel overall. The room had a well-equipped kitchen, which was a big advantage, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel offers solid basic facilities, and it was nice to have coffee and water easily available. Breakfast was decent and worked well to start the day. The area around the hotel is also a plus, with good opportunities for walking and running, making it easy to stay active. The main downside is the distance to downtown Boston. Public transport takes time and requires some planning, as the bus runs only about once per hour. Expect a total travel time of over an hour when combining bus and subway. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value, especially if you do not need quick access to central Boston.

This is our go to hotel in the area. Best breakfast ever! Love the many options. My husband did not like the coffee. He noticed it went down in quality.

Decent hotel, it’s a bit rundown though and in need of some updates. There are a lot of people with dogs that stay there. I’m allergic and I wouldn’t have booked it if I would’ve known. One or two dogs is one thing but I came across at least 10. I was sniffly and sneezing the whole time. They should say something on their website and booking sites that says that they host a lot of animals. Also, it says that they have a restaurant on site but it’s not actually on site it’s next-door so there’s no room service, you have to go outside to get there, and you cannot do a room charge. They only have Netflix and YouTube on their streaming TV And sometimes it doesn’t work. They don’t allow you to connect your own HDMI cable from your own device to stream so entertainment is seriously lacking. The gym smells like chlorine because it’s right next to the pool and it’s very poorly ventilated. The front staff is lovely but a little bit complacent, and when I complained about the television not really working, and the fact that the hotel is listed as having a restaurant, the response was kind of like an “oh well”. Along with when I called them about not being able to get onto Netflix in the room. I guess they can’t really give you a food or drink credit considering there’s no restaurant. 😂. I stay in a lot of hotels for work. I don’t think I would stay at this one again unless everything else in the area was sold out. I did appreciate that there is a kitchen in the room
