Staff were what excelled about the stay. Very friendly. The rooms were pretty decent, the one i stayed in anyway. The boozer below is what i would call legendary, lively, friendly locals and good prices these days. A proper decent local right below your room. Parking would have been nice but there are free car parks and free onstreet nearby. Wifi is also lightning fast which is handy.

What a cracking pub. What more do you want from a place to stay than have a legendary boozer right below you. The land lady was very friendly and polite, rooms were basic but clean and perfect for my needs. They do a cracking pint downstairs too. Staying again next week for work it was that good and the prices resonable.

I arrived at the Horse and Jocky and I was surprised to hear that it was Karaoke night and it was well liked bye many, it was Friday night and it's let your hair down time, it was a change to have so many people who just turned up to sing and enjoy the evening, I was an outsider but I didn't feel it.
