Small but strategically placed property right beside Vestrahorn and the Viking Village. Room look updated, although small with not much room to move around the beds, it had everything needed for a comfortable and quiet stay with great views. Very friendly welcome and with it right beside Vestrahorn, it was an ideal stay for getting pics at sunset and sunrise. Breakfast was standard fare but dinner options were limited to soup, a panini or grilled cheese and ham. Book early as likely to sell out well in advance!

Great stay. I keep returning. 2 separate guesthouses. One is with simple and standard rooms in the same building as the cafe and facilities for camper vans. Second is with family rooms and a short distance drive away for even more serenity and quietness. Fantastic and most hospitable staff. Standard Icelandic breakfast.

Cute stop over stay. Comes with access to Viking village and black sand beach that was almost empty! Otherwise, you have to pay like 2500 idk per person to enter. Nice little breakfast that comes with the stay also

Emplacement parfait mais l'insonorisation laisse clairement à désirer, les chambres sont construites à l'économie et très bruyantes, notamment vers le couloir d'accès qui les dessert. Pas de bureau mais une petite table basse, moins pratique avec un ordi. Il est dit sur le site que l'accès à Stokknes est compris dans le prix de la chambre, ce qui est vrai, mais il n'est malheureusement pas illimité comme je m'y attendais, ce qui serait la moindre des choses pour 180 euros la nuit en septembre. La personne de l'accueil m'a donné un ticket pour passer ma barrière puis comme je lui ai dit qu'on comptait y retourner le lendemain, elle m'en a donné un 2e. Je serais bien allée voir s'il y avait des aurores boréales avec un 3e... Petit déjeuner standard sans plus. Bref, on paye clairement l'emplacement, le rapport qualité prix n'est pas exceptionnel !

Amazing location. Very comfortable, clean, spacious and modern room. Free admission to the area’s attractions and breakfast included made this a great choice as well. Check in was slightly confusing at first because of renovations taking place but the staff was super friendly and very helpful. Negative reviews about the staff in past reviews don’t make any sense to me… everyone working there was above and beyond friendly. Highly recommend.

This property is a beautiful work in progress. I sure hope I get to revisit it in the future. The reception/cafe counter is also a gatekeeper for the campers who are parked nearby. Not a problem - just an observation. The cafe, which has a limited menu right now, while perfectly adequate at the moment I feel will be a lovely place to visit in the future. Builders are busy putting finishing touches to the high ceilinged room with gorgeous windows looking out to the coast. We were in a room for three which was located a few minutes from the Viking Cafe. The unit was large, spacious, and had a separate living area. Bathroom was also large and spacious. Small refrigerator and lots of outlets for charging electronics. Large screen TV. Some beautiful touches such as shelves of real wood and leather couches. A very nice breakfast included.

Amazing location - we wish we could have taken better advantage, but the peninsula was closed due to high winds. Rather plain room, but comfortable. Water leaked from the shower under the wall into the bedroom.

Room was spotless. No issues with check in or anything. We arrived late and they accommodated for us. Breakfast was fantastic as well. If you are visiting Hofn or the area to see vestrahorn, I would only stay at the Viking cafe.

What fantastic customer service. A beautiful location. Nature at it’s best. Loved the convenience of visiting local tourist attractions and hiking. However, the mold issue in the bathroom needs to be addressed.

Where do we even begin? This place is absolutely amazing, set in the most beautiful location with free , unlimited access to Stokksnes area. The room was spacious, modern, spotlessly clean and had everything you may need for comfortable stay , bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great, and you just have to try delicious waffles with rhubarb sauce and cream ! The ladies ( staff ) are amazing, make you feel so welcome , special thanks to Linda, who is a superstar and made our stay even more special. This place is actually so good that we had booked it again before we even left Iceland. Would highly recommend and we will never book anywhere else.

The room we stayed in is in an older section, but it was comfortable, Hada anice patio with an amazing view. The property is beautiful with lots of trails including along the coast where you can watch the seals.

We stayed here for one night on our trip around the ring road in early October. The location is fantastic! We were in one of the newly built rooms (#9) and had a view of Vestrahorn! It was clean, comfortable and quiet. We ate at the cafe and the food was good. Staff were helpful and friendly. The area is unbelievably gorgeous! I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay! We felt so welcome upon arrival. We were walked to our room and when they found out we had to leave early before breakfast, they prepared a to-go bag of fruit, bread and jam, cinnamon rolls, croissants, yogurt, ham, and juice. It was so much food and such a nice gesture to make sure we were taken care of. The desserts offered in the cafe were so good - definitely try the carrot cake! We also ate dinner at the Cafe; the sandwiches were delicious and everything was so fresh. Highly recommend staying here. It is simple accommodations with the most beautiful landscape and wonderful, personal customer service, and inexpensive too. We had one issue where the door would not stay shut without being locked, as it seemed to have a problem that needed to be corrected, but it was minor.

Our stay here was fantastic! The beds were so comfortable! The service, including check-in were absolutely amazing!! Breakfast was extremely tasty with a lot of variety! Definitely would stay here again if I ever find myself in Iceland again! The Viking Village is a nice added touch!!

Staff was friendly, even walked us to our room. Room was clean. A good breakfast was offered. Construction being done around the property so it can be a little noisy.

Linda was wonderful and friendly at checkin. She personally took us down to our room at the guesthouse, chatted for a moment and gave helpful info. The property is a great location in the middle of Vestrahorn. Clean, quiet, lovely stay - Thank you!

Where do we even begin? This place is absolutely amazing, set in the most beautiful location with free , unlimited access to Stokksnes area. The room was spacious, modern, spotlessly clean and had everything you may need for comfortable stay , bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great, and you just have to try delicious waffles with rhubarb sauce and cream ! The ladies ( staff ) are amazing, make you feel so welcome , special thanks to Linda, who is a superstar and made our stay even more special. This place is actually so good that we had booked it again before we even left Iceland. Would highly recommend and we will never book anywhere else.

The stay included free entry to the Viking Village and Stokksnes black sand beach (which was one of the nicer beaches we saw on our trip). The room was simple and not huge, but it was very new and clean. It was perfect for our needs. A simple breakfast at the café was included with the room, but we opted to also get the waffles and they were terrific.

Room look updated, although small with not much room to move around the beds, it had everything needed for a comfortable and quiet stay with great views. Very friendly welcome and with it right beside Vestrahorn, it was an ideal stay for getting pics at sunset and sunrise. Idyllic location! but the cabin was too basic, next to a construction site, and breakfast was below average. This was the most expensive night of our trip, and one of the poorest in terms of quality, but there are not many options in that area.

Fantastic location with walking access to the beautiful surrounding landscape. Staff was warm and welcoming, the room was also very spacious and clean. The cafe area was under renovation, and breakfast options were limited. Overall we had a comfortable stay and great experience at this special property in Hofn.

Great location, good breakfast, included entrance to black sand beach and vikings film settings. The room is nice and clean, although seems the property is still under construction with balconies not ready yet. The price is pretty high compared to other places we stayed at. The advantage is that it has cafe inside that can be a good choice for lunch/dinner/just coffee and cake break.
