The beds are very hard. Warning to thos with back pain! But very good breakfast. We were there in October, so th pool was not a question. But many insects in the room on the Western/sunset side of the building - we killed more than 30 and they have a bad smell. Since the air conditoning was off in October the room on the sunset side was very hot, and we could not open the balcony door becuse of insect invasion. So the receptionist gave us another room, on the other side of the building - with almost no insects.

The hotel has a great location for a family trip to the Plitvice Lakes - about a 15 minute drive from entrance 2. The lighting in that place is atrocious. Why in the world they think dim lights are necessary is beyond me. The restaurant was clean, the staff was so so. They were unable to speak Croatian, and their English was mediocre at best. The food was OK, but the refrigeration in the room did not work, and I ended up having to toss $600 worth of medication.

Nao há niguem para lhe ajudar com suas malas. Nao ha agua nos quartos e se você quiser agua tera que ir comprar no bar porque eles tambem nao levam no quarto se voce pedir. We meant to get the Plitvich Hotel that was right next door to the park. This was about 15 minutes or so away but a wonderful find. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food was healthy and good if not great. And it is in a really quiet pleasant little town. The hotel is modern and bright and we really enjoyed ourselves.
