We were very happy with this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Reykjavik, close to shopping, bus stops and attractions. There was a strike going on so there was limited housekeeping but the hallways and lobby were immaculate. The staff was helpful in every way. The spa area is gorgeous. We enjoyed complimentary "happy hour" every evening.

This was one of the best places we’ve stayed. The location was superb to walk to all the greatest sites, museums, shops dining etc. the property was immaculate. Breakfast was delicious with many options for all. The room and bath were spacious and comfortable. Shower was awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the gym, hot tub and sauna as well as happy hour. We highly recommend and would only stay here if we get to return

The hotel location was perfect for our needs. It was close to great restaurants, shopping and the #3 bus stop. The parking information on third party sites was deceiving. We were specifically looking for a place with convenient overnight parking, which was mentioned on those sites for about $40 per night. However, upon parking at the lot across the street, it was about 3x that amount. When we inquired with the front desk, they mentioned that the price changed recently. Unfortunately, we had to find out the hard way. There is a cheaper lot about a block away, but it is inaccessible from 12-7am daily. (However, you can park there overnight) that was a major disappointment for us, but luckily, everything else was great. The rooms also need full-length mirrors. You don’t realize how much you need one until you don’t have one.

Helpful staff. They would go the extra step. Very clean hotel and great location. Cool bar and lobby. Loved the room decor and setup. Only small gripe was lowest volume on TV was too loud. I tried to go lower, but volume would go silent. Otherwise, a great stay and I would stay again!

Accomodations were very clean and comfortable the only negative was we lived out of our suitcases because there were no drawers. The staff were helpful and we were able to check in early. Their bar and lounge offered wonderful food and drink and their spa was really relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel.

Overall, a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Reykjavik. The location worked well, and the space was pleasant. Two small things kept it from being a 5-star review: (1) the online info about air conditioning was a bit unclear. We visited during a warmer stretch, and the small window didn’t provide much ventilation; (2) the shower design. Using the handheld wand splashed water across the bathroom since the shield wasn’t quite enough.

Centrally located hotel, few minutes walk to bus stop 3 for excursion pick ups, and harbour for whale watching. Hotel was spotless, room cleaned and fresh towels daily. Breakfast of bacon/eggs/cereals/fruit/pastries which was fresh and delicious. Room was very impressive at first glance but has minimal storage and lots of wasted space eg a writing desk and chair with shelves and books where perhaps a well lit mirror instead could have provided a dressing table which would have been more useful as the only mirror was in the bathroom. A full length mirror would also be good. Also nowhere to hang your wet coats, so have to drape them over the leather sofas. My main issue was at check in, the lady at reception checked us in then dropped the key cards down and said that’s it you’re checked in- didn’t even say which room number we were in, no direction to the room, no information on breakfast time, checkout time, the free drink available to guests or the bath house. overall a lovely hotel, in a great location, looks impressive but missing some helpful touches.

Inside very dark & depressing. Delicious breakfast buffet . They were less than helpful getting us a taxi ride to the airport. We ended up getting a driver dropping off other passengers to take us. We almost missed our flight. Good downtown location.

Thos was the most amazing hotel. Ot was very close to several bus stops which is important of going on day tours. It was really close to walk to rainbow road and other tourist destinations without being on top of all the people. The staff was so incredible and verh helpful. The breakfast that was included was delicious and opened very early. We also enjoyed the pool and spa area a lot. If I return to Iceland I'd stay here again.

Very nice and new hotel. Spacey rooms. Very nice staff at breakfast. Breakfast itself a bit monotone (every day the same food), would also be great if they would offer freshly prepared meals (e.g. eggs) and barista coffee and some variety (e.g. different types of cheese). At the time of our stay, property lacked the social life you would expect in the lobby of a luxury hotel (different e.g. in the Edison hotel around the corner - maybe because it is a bit larger and has a restaurant on site). Spa is also very nice (hot tub and sauna).
