Top notch staff, beautiful building, added benefit of a spa facility with elegant jacuzzi/steam and dry sauna. Must do breakfast in old Masonic hall. Well located in Peat dose of Budapest within walking distance of shops, museums and other sites. Highly recommend.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! Probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. spa was beautiful and relaxing, spent 6 hours there one day and had a great massage. Rooftop bar had some amazing drinks and delicious goulash. Breakfast was good and had fresh espresso. Could not have been a better stay.

Lyxhotell light några hundra meter från Tågstationen. Trevligt spa med två olika bastu och bubbelpool. Rummen kanske lite mindre än väntat. Vid incheckning kände dom ej till ens fördelar som guldkund när man bodde på VIP hotell. Servicen fick sig ett plus när dom fixade en kontorsstol till mig mitt i natten inför ett digitalt morgonmöte. Frukosten en besvikelse för ett sådant hotell. Ganska dåligt med variation och utbud samt mycket kallskuret saknade smak. Väldigt bra restaurang även om de olika rätterna kom lite väl tätt. Prisvärt.

Really nice decor, beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds and excellent shower. The only disappointment was the access to bar facilities. The sky bar was good but service quite slow and shuts at 11pm. The main lounge/bar closed really early; we wanted a drink and some food at 9pm on Friday evening and it was already closed. We never actually had a drink in the main bar because it closed early or it was reserved for a wedding. We could not use the sky bar either in the evening of the wedding because that too was too busy with wedding guests.

Lovely room, clean, good size and very comfortable. Really good hot buffet breakfast in the most stunning dining room. The spa was small however it was still a lovely quite spot to relax. Lived the 'hidden garden' theme. The inly issue was the steam room which was just a cold tiled room with barely any steam!

We went in off-season so the hotel was probably less than half-full. Really serviceminded and helpfull staff. Everything was superclean and nice both in room and common-areas. The room itself was really nice with a complete modern-old-retro-style. Bathroom/shower was really nice and not that strange even though it had "curtains" instead of a door to it. A bit strange to have a toilet in a separate room without a sink, but not really a problem. The spa-area was much smaller than expected and the information of where it was and how to use the facilities should probably be explained to guests. The gym was quite small and with 4-5 people it felt crowded. Massage was really nice. Breakfast was really amazing in an amazing room. Same was also the drinks in the evening. The dinner was "ok", but I guess the amount of guests (or lack of) was contributing to this for the kitchen.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The night time guy had a great sense of humour. Beautiful rooms with lots of character and clean. The spa was small but just right really with a good temperature jacuzzi and even though we checked out at 11am we were still allowed to use the spa that day. Whole hotel didn’t disappoint. It’s a 10min Bolt ride to main square and only around £5.

Not Quite the Getaway We Had in Mind stay got off to an interesting start when we were greeted—not by staff—but by clearly intoxicated guests both outside the front entrance and oddly enough, behind the front desk. Not exactly the warm welcome we were hoping for. We had hoped to use the gym during our stay, but unfortunately, it’s located inside the spa area, which has limited hours. Unless you're on spa time, the gym might as well not exist. Breakfast was decent—good, not great. It did the job, but don’t expect anything memorable. Overall, the experience was a bit underwhelming. The potential is there, but it felt like the place was trying to be more polished than it actually is. A few changes could go a long way.

We had an outstanding stay at this Budapest hotel. The experience began with the friendly and welcoming staff and continued with the hotel's commitment to cleanliness—it was spotless. Sehr schönes Hotel. Top gepflegt. Kleines aber sehr ansprechendes Spa. Das Frühstücken war ein Traum. Der Parkservice war schnell und zuverlässig. Für eine Unterkunft in Budapest, eine der besten Adressen die man wählen kann.

Room was super clean. I loved the pillow menu and all the cute details in this quirky room. The towel warmer didn't work in my room, which was a bit of a bummer. The front desk offered to put me in a different room, but I'd already unpacked by then. The staff was friendly. The woman at reception who helped me check in gave me a great history lesson about the hotel. Breakfast was really good, and good value for money since I pre-booked it. The restaurant and bar: I did not end up going because I looked at the prices beforehand. Very, very expensive. I went to Gundel restaurant and got better prices on a 5 star meal at one of Hungary's most famous restaurants.

Booked a trip as a surprise for my husband’s birthday. The hotel looks nice, and has been well renovated. We were given a room with view on the railways- not ideal, to be honest. Unfortunately also, the last couple of days, the smell of the drains in our room was not great at all, especially given our bathroom closed with curtains. The staff was overall kind and helpful. However, the surprise pre-ordered for my husband’s birthday was incomplete when we arrived. Had to call reception to have the cake and champagne delivered. The spa is small but convenient. The breakfast was decent. Long story short, good value for money, but not exactly in the city center (15-20min walk depending on your level of fitness).

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider wurde das Badezimmer von den Reinigungskräften nicht besonders gründlich gereinigt und das Bett nicht sorgfältig gemacht. Die Lage ist nicht perfekt, aber auch nicht schlecht. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und gemütlich, genauso wie das gesamte Hotel. Der Spa-Bereich ist ebenfalls sehr schön, nur etwas klein.

This is a beautiful hotel close to public transportation. The train, subway and trams were about a 5 minute walk. The breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of options and very delicious. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was updated, clean and very bright. We would highly recommend this hotel!!

I typically don't write reviews but I had to take a moment to appreciate the excellent experience from start to finish. To me, it was very important to have a **quiet** and clean room with a comfortable and luxurious bed, whilst still being minutes from popular spots in the city center. breakfast: generous, varied, and absolutely delicious. Staff: Everyone was above and beyond I'm glad I chose this hotel which made my trip to Budapest smooth and enjoyable!

It really didn't feel like I was staying at a 5 star hotel(even tho they say so with awards and everything). The room I booked seemed bigger in the picture(good marketing I guess)than reality. In my room the ceiling was very low and the bed almost cover all the space. The bed decorations seemed old and outdated. That decoration of printing paintings(with frames included) didn't really feel like 5 star decorations, felt cheap, however on the pictures advertised looked good. In the front of the hotel there was an abandoned building where homeless people go and sleep.

We had such a fantastic time when staying in the Mystery Hotel Budapest. We stayed for 6 nights and the staff could not have done more for us. On arrival we went sent up a bottle of sparking wine for our honeymoon. Everyone was so polite and helpful. The hotel itself is wonderful, it felt 5 star for sure. The spa was lovely, although a little smaller compared to other spas, it’s absolutely worth it as it blows the set up of other spas out of the water. The hotel is always cool and smells lovely. One of our favourite moments of each day was stepping back into the hotel after a day of exploring. Thank you so much Mystery Hotel Budapest, what a honeymoon hotel!

Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten beim einchecken, als um 15:15 Uhr das Zimmer noch nicht fertig war, nach einem Drink an der Bar, aber alles wieder gut war, verlief der restliche Aufenthalt in diesem besonderen Hotel reibungslos. I recently stayed at Mystery Hotel Budapest and while the property itself was beautiful and the stay comfortable, I unfortunately had a negative experience when it came to the handling of my deposit. At check-in, a 100 EUR (approx. 15,047 ISK / 40,000 HUF) deposit was taken as a standard procedure. However, after checkout, I was also charged separately for two breakfasts – 20,767 HUF (approx. 7,812 ISK / 52 EUR) – which I paid as an independent transaction. Despite this, the hotel insisted that the breakfast amount was deducted from the deposit. After sharing my bank statements clearly showing the breakfast was charged in a separate transaction, the hotel failed to acknowledge the discrepancy or take any meaningful steps to investigate or correct the issue. To date, the original 100 EUR deposit has not been returned to my account. I tried to resolve this issue directly and reasonably with the hotel, but the response I received simply redirected me to my bank, rather than double-checking their own records. If you’re staying here, I strongly recommend keeping detailed records of any charges and verifying deposit returns carefully. It’s disappointing to have an otherwise pleasant stay overshadowed by poor financial handling and lack of accountability.

It was really nice that the staff came by our room every afternoon with a little tourist-guide with suggestions to what to see in the city, together with two little pieces of chocolate. Nice touch. Furthermore, the staff was so nice, and welcoming. Especially a nice porter we didn’t get the name on, but (sorry for the describtion) who was balled and very nice to us from the second we arrived, and helped create the basis for a pleasant start to the holiday. The spa facilities were good aswell as the room and atmosphere. Positive experience overall and really good price for the stay combined with flights.

Hotel was lovely and staff were very attentive. Evening meal was excellent however I would have liked a little more choice espiacally for vegetarians. Breakfast was a little disappointing as hot food not as hot as I could have been.
