Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Extra pillows were available on request and the onsite laundry was extremely handy. They have a vacuum sealer for shrinking down clothing/stuffed animals but did not use it. Rooms were cleaned frequently and staff were excellent. The location is also great (I recommend the pizza place nearby if you’re tired and want something close and tasty). My only complaint keeping me from giving a 5 star is the rooms are getting a little dated/worn. Marks on the walls and frays on the carpet. It didn’t affect our stay and it’s just a minor issue in my part.

Robot dinosaurs at check in ! Good hotel, central to action in Dotombori and Namba. Laundry onsite but also across street (cheaper). Lots of eating and shopping around but quiet inside hotel.

The only this would be that the r smoking area is right a the entrance so anytime you exit or enter you can smell cigarettes. Also they did not give up and new glass for the 5 days we were there. They came and cleaned the room, gave us new towels but never gave us any new glasses

Hotel is located in the middle of 2 stations (i.e. Namba & Shinsaibashi), which is very convenient. While the hotel is known for its "self service" arrangement, which there is no staff around the check-in area. However, the checkin and checkout processes are fullly automated and very smooth. However, if you look for a place with "service", this may not be a place that you should choose. The room is spacious and comfortable. Overall, it is a good stay with reasonable price in a large city like Osaka

Great location, 5 min walk to Dotonbori but away from the crowds. Walkable to Namba station and several subway stations. Dinosaur robots are cool but passport self-scan didn't work for us so we needed a staff member to come help which made it a little pointless. Room was nice though a little dusty in places

This property is in an excellent location but the hotel room was shockingly small and not sufficiently clean. The bathrooms was split into three sections: the toilet room, shower room and the sink is in the bedroom. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it unless you're okay staying in tiny quarters.

the location is the prime reason to stay here. the hotel is basic, modern looking with all amentities included but the bed and pillows were rock hard. the vent and bedside lights were super dusty.

Hotel room was very small. Space is quite limited. There is a little rack to hang our clothes and that’s it for storage. Sink is in the bedroom. Bathroom was small but clean. We had to move our small suitcases to make space while walking around. Room is clean although our coffee cups were never cleaned during our 4-night stay. upside is the price and the location.

Fun stay with the dinosaurs but not sure our room was ever dusted since opening, about an inch of dust on the TV. We paid extra for the robot room but our robot didn’t work so wouldn’t recommend this. Fun experience and close by to everything

Love that it was so centrally located. The fact that we didn’t have any front desk person allowed us to move at our pace. The dinosaurs who greeted us was hilarious and a very cool touch. The rooms were small, but they were clean and functional. Perfect for budget travel

Funny robots at check-in. The human folks were friendly too. Some spoke english and some used google translate well. You can leave your luggage at the secure lobby lockers if you arrive before check-in time, and go off to tourist. The wifi is amazing, free amenities in the lobby to grab and go. Neighborhood is bustling at night but feels very safe. Many stores nearby for food, fun but still a distance from the main crowd, so quiet at night. I got a 2x twin room and the twin beds were next to each other, a smaller room than standard japan 2x twin, but big enough. bathroom was separated, which is great for using toilet and shower at the same time.

The property was very lovely. Initially when we arrived, the kiosk was only in Japanese, which was very strange as I ensured that they had English. When I rang the bell for a staff, she “confirmed” that there’s no English in this hotel. Side note, unfortunately for us, the wifi was not working at the hotel for the day, which is out of their control. The following day however, the kiosk finally showed a sign to translate into English (and a few other ones). Unsure whether or not this is due to the wifi working again. Other than this initial blip, everything went smoothly. The rooms were small but I think it’s still bigger than some others in Osaka, and it was a good price. The location made it totally worth it! Super close to the famous Dotonburi with tons of snack stalls, restaurants, and shops. And the breakfast place 512& in front of the hotel is absolutely fantastic for those looking for a sit down breakfast - best French toast I’ve had. Only other thing that might’ve lost the 5 star rating for me is not having the delivery service at the hotel. The family mart the hotel recommended didn’t have the delivery service available and I didn’t get a chance to check out the Lawson in the area. Yamato at Namba was around the corner so I just went there since I had to go there anyway. Luckily Osaka was the first city I went to on my trip so my suitcases were quite light. But the road conditions were not perfect so I can see it being a challenge for those who had more things.

Not cosy. The view of the building next door, less than a metre from the window. No light in the room during the day.

Ok hotel. Temperature cobtrol of the room wasn't great. It was either hot or cold no middle. There was some dust accumulation here and there in the room and the pillows where not so confortable. We had to ask for another one. The shower was ok but not suited for western people Staff was very helfull and polite.

Great location less then a 5 minute walk to dontonbori, the rooms are spacious and clean, had a full japanese style bathroom including shower stool and deep bath which was very welcome after long tiring day. My only gripe was the lack of streets signs or a way to call a cab when heading to the Shin Osaka station, uber and google get confused on the tiny streets and with no markers it made it impossible to get an uber. The proximity to the station was great though, the only downside is that there were no lifts near the exit and having to haul a big suitcase up 4 flights of subway stairs is a pain in the backside. Would stay at this hotel again, the robots were cute too the dinosaurs were dressed for halloween.

Good compact space, but only one pillow provided, no pen and paper, not enough towel racks, inconvenient clothes rack location. Also, noisy neighborhood at night, construction.

Proximity wise to Dotonburi - it’s great! However, this hotel only has one thin pillow for each guest!! Bed wasn’t comfortable too. When we requested for extra pillows so at least each guest can have 2, the front desk said they don’t have extras. When I left a comment/suggestion to the hotel via email/online - they were so rude and gave me lame excuses. They even said that the hotel is meant for business only (not really sure what that’s supposed to mean) and having 2 pillows is not something that should be expected by guests!

Great hotel! Loved the robot dinos in the front and its nice how theres also human staff when needed. Clean and neighborhood is close to many restaurants, shops, and the shopping street. Recommend!

Wonderful hotel, and the best front desk staff ever

Great property and the staff were super attentive and lovely. Only issue we found was that the toilet did seem to smell, not enough to put us off. Definitely great property and would definitely book again.

Location was very convenient, within 5 min walking distance has you covered with multiple restaurants, misc shops, and the train station. Rooms were spacious and clean. And the staff were very attentive and helpful.

Great location, just a few mins walk from Dotonbori but in a peaceful and quiet street. Hotel had plenty of amenities and the room layout is nice and spacious for Japan

Close to shopping area and public transportation

Henn na Hotel is a fun experience with quirky “add ons” that simply add to the charm. It is a more traditional Japanese inn experience (small rooms) in a very busy area by Dotonbori, but is very quiet at night while in the room.

This area was perfect. Within a few minutes you're in Dotonbori.

Its location is very unassuming but incredibly close and lively alongside the bustle of night time Osaka, Dotonbori, and a little ways away from Namba. Would definitely recommend to avid urban adventurers and people looking for more of the Japan nightlife.

Interesting concept to have the animatronic velociraptors as concierge. It worked just fine and was a fun story to tell afterward. The hotel otherwise is quite clean and in an excellent location, otherwise pretty unremarkable. I would stay with my kids again, it was fun! The area around the hotel has lots of amazing food and entertainment options.

少し駅から距離はありますが、恐竜に出迎えていただけて、楽しい気分になりました。 チェックイン前は、荷物はロッカーに預けれるので、その後出かけやすかったです。 部屋はお風呂とトイレのセパレートが良かったです。あとモーニングものんびり食べれたのでゆっくり出来ました。

The concept is cute but the robots don’t really work. The dinosaurs that greet you are fun but the self-check in machines required an actual staff member to walk you through the process (because the passport scans weren’t working). This caused check-in to take longer than it should have. The robot in our room wouldn’t respond to our voice-actions the directions instructed us to use so we didn’t use it at all. Yet it still chirped and said a greeting in Japanese in the wee hours of the morning, waking us up unexpectedly @5 am. Suitcase lockers were super helpful & location is great. The area felt safe even though it was bustling late into the night. Beds were comfy & amenities pretty good although I wish hot coffee was an option (they only have green tea).

My grandson and I enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, clean, helpful staff who spoke good English to help us and we loved the dinosaurs who checked us in and out. It was in the Dotonbori district with lots of good eating places and entertainment, all within walking. We took the trains to other tourist places like Nara Deer Park, Osaka Castle and universal studios.

The experience is unique but the breakfast needs some improvement. Perhaps a buffet style would be more appropriate.

location! location! location! if you are a first timer in Osaka, this is the hotel to stay in. the hotel itself it's cool. the robotic dinosaur was cool! definitely one of the reasons why you should stay here. the rooms are big. it has a modern feel to it. the breakfast buffet was good. however it can be very busy between 8-9 am. now lets talk about the location. this hotel is walking distance to everything! dotonbori is only a 10 min walk. all the restaurants, bar and shops are just 1 to 2 min. away. so it is definitely a great deal for your money.

Henn Na Hotel is the most unique hotel chain I’ve ever experienced, the robots were amazing, the food was delicious and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful throughout my stay.

Breakfast was well prepared

Busy area so expect a little noise at night. Robot dinosaurs were very welcoming. In room robot was confusing and not worth the extra cost. Breakfast offered by a joined cafe was ok. Cooked breakfast with a selection of pastries to add to your meal.
