See Sea Motel

The place was in a great area! Close to the beach and some great local businesses! The parking was not ideal as it is very small. It was frustrating when one unit had more than one vehicle and took more than one spot. They advertise a smart tv but all of the apps were locked up so you couldn’t access your Netflix etc and could only watch cable. Cable was fine for us but don’t advertise a smart tv if it’s locked up and unable to be accessed. Overall a fabulous stay!! We would return!

We booked this for a 3 night weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised. It was a clean, comfortable room, well decorated. Little breakfast table and kitchrnette. Across the street from the beach. Lots of restaurants closeby and convenient to anything you might need. Pool small but clean. It was perfect for us. Woukd stay there again

We just stayed at See Sea October 18th-20th 2024 for a last minute quick trip from Elizabeth city. Great price, we thought it was too good to be true. Wrong!! We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean, plenty of parking and right across the street from a public beach access site. 2 minute walk to some shops and Target is only a couple of minutes down the road. We didn’t have any issues and I believe it was just us and 2 other families there so it was quiet. The appliances all worked. Tv was great. We loved the outside grill access and picnic tables. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. It didn’t feel like a motel, and we feel like it was way better than any hotel on the strip.

The room was small but comfortable for a 2 night stay. The only problem is parking with a larger vehicle.

I loved how the property was easily accessible to public beach access. The pool was clean and so was are room( we stayed in standard king). Not sure if this is standard procedures as we have never stayed in a motel but there were no towels given for shower and the floor got wet from the shower. Seems dangerous and likely easily water damage. Our room was connect to another room by what looked like a closet door so it was NOT quiet. We could hear everything in their room and Vice Versa. The coffee kurieg was a great touch but then the little styrofoam cups they gave us didn’t even fit the only setting provided on the machine. Causing overflow and coffee everywhere. Otherwise great for the one night we stayed and would recommend the place for someone who was looking for a short stay in the outer banks!

The establishment was clean, cute decor and quiet. Directly across the beach and a short one block walk to public access. No need for a car. Clean pool and great lounge chairs. Cleaning people bring you towels everyday.

Parking is limited. And the parking lot is a nightmare. Loved the room we stayed in and the staff we spoke with were wonderful. But won’t stay again because of the parking problems.

Clean Room

Very clean, comfortable bed and great location.

We enjoyed our stay at the motel. However, our room was a little dirty when we arrived and there were ants on the countertop. The parking lot is small and difficult to manuever in. We enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is very difficult to reach. Our shower did not drain. I know it’s tough at the beach with sand but had housekeeping cleaned the shower, they should have made an effort to unclog the shower. If you like showering in water deeper than your ankles with no ability to contact staff, this hotel is perfect! It’s a shame too because this location is great, check in was smooth and the room was cute. I just really want a shower that I can use on my vacation especially one at the beach.

The floor was completely dirty the bathroom wasn’t bad but could have been better, despite not getting the room and I ask for the location very good.

BED, BATHROOM CLEAN.FEET STAYED BLACK FROM CARPET. ROOM SEEMED TO STAY DAMP. NEEDED MORE PILLOWS. POOL HAD NO UMBRELLAS FOR TABLES. PLENTY OF SEATING, POOL CLEAN. ROOM GREAT FOR NEWLYWEDS. CLOSE QUARTERS. GUEST NEXT DOOR HAD A DOG THAT BARKED ALL NIGHT, AND ANY TIME THEY WENT OUT AN LEFT IT IN ROOM ALONE. HAVE A NICE DAY. THANK YOU.

You get what you pay for! It looked too good to be true and it was. The pros: one block away from the beach. The pool area was very nice. The cons: parking was ridiculously tight. When we opened the door we were greeted with the most musty/moldy smell I have ever smelled. It made me nauseous. Now I know when a place is close to water it can have a moisture problem and this place does big time! We only stayed 2 nights and when we got home the musty smell permeated everything. There was black mold on the shower curtain. The room is small - I mean SMALL!

Renovated motel, they did an excellent job revamping. We loved our room & the location. Check-in was convenient, communication was on point. Loved our kitchenette & the little things for example, k-cups & bottled water. We enjoyed our stay & will book here again for next stay!

It was great the only thing I’d say is there were bugs here and there (gnats mostly) and the room felt kind of sticky due to the way the air conditioning is and the proximity to the ocean.

This property was amazing! Do not let the outside fool you. The rooms were so cute and clean. It was just horribly tight on parking and driving.

Not real modern but recently remodeled, very sufficient for a few days. Had fridge, coffee maker, small oven, microwave. Not the best parking. But I would stay again.

Check in was easy. The room itself is pretty small but it was enough for 2 people. The room was clean though. The bed wasn’t comfy as it was saggin in the middle so it made it hard to sleep and yes I woke up to an ache in my back. It was very walkable though. The beach wasn’t far at all. Parking was good. Not sure how parking works when it’s peak season though. Other than that. Room was ok for what we paid

This was a cute, unique roo. The hardest mattress I've ever slept on!! Very clean but NO WHERE to put your stuff!

Parking not easy. Fortunately we stayed during the off season so not many vehicles to maneuver around. Staff over the phone were very polite and helpful.

It is a nice, small, motel near the beach and walkable to several dining locations, public beach access, shopping, etc along Virginia Dare Trl. No major complaints, considering the price point it was excellent, No on site manager so if that bothers you be warned, they send you a portal login with details on how to open the door with a code and we had no issues. The parking lot is very narrow which wasnt a big deal early in the week when i think we were the only guests, but as it filled up it became a little more difficult to navigate and we were in a compact sedan, do not recommend for guests in larger SUVs or trucks. Otherwise fit our needs, cute and beachy, didnt break the bank.

No operator on premise. Booked two rooms, only sent us passcode for one room. Multiple calls before finally answered with passcode and we could get into room. Requested passcode for WiFi night of arrival. Did not respond with code until next morning after we had departed.

This was our first stay at See Sea Motel and we will be back! Right across from a beach access so we could walk over and spend the day. The room was clean, check in/out was easy. Loved the fact we didn’t have to go in to a lobby, they sent a text with the door code…it was very convenient!!!!

Absolutely horrible! Tried to call ahead to check in earlier since we noticed our travel time would put us there about an hour early. No answer, no return call. So arrived only 5mins early. No staff on grounds, no where to check in. Tried all three numbers, no answer, no returned calls. We called over 8 times and left about 5 messages. I finally called Hotels.com for help and that was a JOKE. After getting nowhere with first person asked for a manager and I got a lady named Judy, who also said they couldn’t get through and that I needed to hang up due to the error and she’d call me back. In the mean time we managed to track down the emergency after hours number (though it’s only 4:30pm at this point) and finally someone answered and was able to help us. Basically you have to be emailed a code for the door locks. Ours FINALLY arrived at 2:19 am on the day of check out!!!! If you have an SUV or large Truck good luck parking, parking is tiny and limited. Couldn’t sleep well because: 1) They use blinds on windows that let in their outside lights all night. 2) The bed was uncomfortable/lumpy, old, no support 2) Then the rooms next to us were drunkards up outside our window ALL night being loud. The only pluses are location & clean.

Very nice place to stay and convenient walk to the beach ! Right across on the water and Logan was awesome and helped accommodate our every need and question! Would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed visiting two summers ago but this fall, the property appeared abandoned. There was one guy with a truck who may have been watching over the property, but I wasn’t sure. My third night, I looked up and saw a guy with a gray sweater and blond hair watching me from the second floor of the building next door. There was a disturbance, a loud sound of hammering or repairs in one of the rooms a couple doors down at 1am. I called the emergency number saying I wasn’t sure that it was an emergency but that the noise disturbed me, No one called back. I won’t visit in the fall again, but would be willing to try again in the summer. The property managers were helpful on the phone when I had questions about the coded door lock.

No where to check in. Received email with instructions buried in long text. Very tight parking and driveway. Old facility but well equipped and clean.

Alkes ist praktisch aufgebaut. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, vernünftig ausgestattet inklusive einer kleinen Küchenzeile, Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Ausreichend ist und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Der Strand ist direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite.

It was a quaint motel close to the beach, shopping, and dining. The price was right. The room decor and the room itself was very nice. Don't overlook this motel!

Great location and access to the beach and restaurants.

Location is ideal. The price can’t be beat. The check in process is a little odd as I was looking for the office upon arrival, but otherwise a great little place to stay

Stayed with my family. Felt safe here and loved the location. Could walk to a few food options and beach access, but everything else that we wanted to do was within 5 minutes drive and it was very easy to get around. The room was bright and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had everything that we needed for a quick stay at the beach. Would stay again.
