So the pub is closed on a Monday. Nothing about that when booking. No where to eat and room was freezing cold till I found the heating switch. Only towel I could find was a hand towel. Won’t be back. Couldn’t complain as no one there.

The pub, the food and the drink are very good indeed, but the accommodation side of things is not quite to the same standard. It's ok for a quick overnight there, but... the TV didn't work, the bathroom light flickered, the bathroom heater was broken, the walls are paper thin so you hear everything from next door and there's general wear and tear. The info folder had leaflets in from 2015 and 2017 so no recent attention there and the online photos are a little rosier than the reality. There's a tourist board sign on the wall saying 3 Star - mmmm, maybe at one time in history, but suspect the sign might be there yet the accreditation no longer! Other online reviews capture other points. It's basically an old fashioned Travelodge set-up, but with just a little more investment, effort, know-how and attention to detail it has the potential to reach the standard of the pub side, which it felt like is where the owners main interest and effort goes and the rooms are more like a case "well seeing as they were there when we got the place, suppose we might as well still do it" kind of thing.

Parking was easy with accessibility being very good. Staff were very welcoming. The room was adequately resourced, clean and comfortable. Slight noise from the room above could be heard early in the morning, otherwise was a quiet location. We ate in the restaurant which was very nice indeed.
