Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend We checked out after just one night of a two-night stay, forfeiting the cost of the second night, due to poor room assignment and unhelpful service. We were assigned an accessible bathroom without requesting one; when we asked reception for a room change, they flatly refused. Additionally, despite advertising a hot breakfast, the kitchen staff refused a simple request to cook eggs. Overall, the lack of flexibility and poor service made for an unpleasant experience.

I wouldn’t say we had a bad experience, but the place did not live up to the hype, it was among the most expensive places we stayed in two weeks in Scotland, and the breakfast that was positively reviewed was nothing special. What was problematic was an indifferent staff totally disinterested in customer service,

Located at one end of the high street, the hotel is in a good location for exploring central Fort William. We had booked suites which are in a separate building. Room layout is good but rooms are cold/ damp and very basic. Showers don’t really get hot, the noise from the rooms upstairs is ridiculous and parking garages below so don’t expect to get a good nights sleep. Reception is self service which for the price of the rooms is ridiculous. And doesn’t work as the suites need actual keys. The reception has a 24h shop but prices are insane so you are better off heading to Tesco to grab any essentials. Parking is also extra which I also think is awful given the room prices.

The room was clean, the staff were attentive and the snacks in the room were complimentary! A wonderful place to spend the evening before our bus back to Edinburgh. A short walk from everything!
