Pool was TOO crowded…rooftop bar was closed for private party on labor day weekend for guest that paid holiday prices…not sure if hotel allows day pool passes for non guests but if they do THEY DEFINITELY SHOULDNT

Amazing stay at the Halycon for a night of fun in Cherry Creek! Parking, of course, was over what we wanted to pay. Staff was nice enough, they did not mention our perk at Check In and I had to remind them to apply it at Check Out. They had an amazing rooftop heated pool. However, the pool was warmer then the hot tubs. We highly recommend having dinner at the Saltwater Social (at corner outside of hotel). Also, if you are looking for a nice place for a night cap with a great atmosphere head over to the Forget Me Not (about a block away). We did order room service breakfast and it was awesome, you may even want to split something, it was very large portions. We definitely recommend the cinnamon roll that was the size of my head. Soooo YUMMY!

My room was on an upper floor and tucked in a corner. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable, and the HVAC was easy to control and relatively quiet. Shower pressure was excellent. I had issues with the TV and needed extra towels. I texted the host but never received a response. I inquired at the front desk about both and was informed the TVs were not working. Unfortunately, this occurred during a snowstorm, and it would have been beneficial to access the news. The tv didn't work until the fourth day of my visit when I inquired again. Overall, the staff was engaging and willing to assist. Valet parking, at $60 per night, was expedient and helpful. Local Jones, the hotel’s bar/restaurant, is a great place to grab a coffee or cocktail. Service there was always friendly and upbeat.

Very beautiful property. The restaurant was very good (Local Jones). The only minor downside was the parking. The only options were valet or a nearby parking garage. Luckily there were several garages nearby. It can get packed during busy times though. Also, the pool is only 3 feet deep. Beautiful rooftop view though.

Communication with staff before and during the stay was excellent. The pool deck was fairly dirty, trash, dishes, and used towels around the pool area. The front desk person didn’t even try to look into the Expedia VIP upgrade when checking in. This was my second time staying at this hotel and I wouldn’t book here again.

The hotel is in a fantastic area. It's very safe and walkable to shopping, dining, and bike paths. My family of 4 was there for a soccer tournament at Dicks Sporting Goods Park and wanted to stay somewhere nicer which is how we chose this location and hotel. I originally booked the Clayton and then switched at the last minute to the Halcyon. They are very close to one another. The reviews for Halcyon seemed better and particularly the larger pool was appealing. The hotel was nice, but not as great as the reviews indicated. Overall, it was clean and the service was decent. The pool area felt tired, and the service by the pool was just okay. The pool tile looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years which was gross. The workout facility is just okay and could use some more equipment. The Clayton offers a full gym within the hotel which would have been nice to have. The front desk service was less than desirable. We asked for a room upgrade through the email they sent before arrival but were then told at check-in it wasn't available. I tried to upgrade several times and was promised it would happen and then each afternoon it was no longer available. i wanted to check-out at 1 instead of 12 and was told no because it was sold out. They just didn't seem overly competent or accommodating. That said,it's a fine hotel, just not the 9.2 it's rated.

We had a lovely 6th floor east facing room, overlooking the shops on Columbine Street. Unfortunately there was construction going on a couple rooms down the hall. It was loud and disruptive and the hallway floors were dirty with dust and debris. Also, the rooftop pool opening was delayed one morning because of a private photo shoot. No big deal if that had been posted in the elevator, but it wasn’t. My husband and I, along with other hotel guests, tried our keys over and over again, thinking the elevator was simply malfunctioning. We called the front desk to report the elevator trouble. A bit later we learned hotel staff had the elevator disabled to prevent guests from going to the rooftop. I’ve stayed at this property a dozen times and it’s always been my favorite Cherry Creek North hotel. Things seemed a little off this stay, so we’ll likely stay elsewhere next visit to Denver.

The staff at this hotel was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Check-in and valet was a breeze. The location is perfect with tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. And Whole Foods right around the corner. The room could have been cleaner, although we don’t remember the last time we stayed in any hotel or airbnb that was spotless, ironically cleanliness seems to have deteriorated post-covid. We would not stay in a Junior Suite again, the bathroom was tiny! With a better layout it wouldn’t have been bad but the toilet is right in the middle. And the only hooks to hang towels are directly over the toilet. This hotel is in desperate need of a pool attendant. The pool was often dirty and needed to be skimmed. The pool area was littered with dirty towels and glasses/dishes from the bar. I saw the front desk staff going all the way up to the roof to attend to the pool area. Doesn’t seem like that should be their job. Overall we’d stay here again.

The bathroom in our room was spotless however it smelled like bad sewer coming from either the drain or the toilet. Had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times. Also the public bathroom in the basement smelled HORRIBLE. I used it while dining at the Modern Italian before we went to our room and I lost my appetite. Just seems like there is an issue with bad or maybe old plumbing.

The staff was friendly and the property was right in the center of where I needed to stay. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. There was a crusted over glass with drink still in it on the desk, the bed smelled musty, and the bathroom did not seem sanitized. It was really gross. The free water and compliment drink was nice and the valet was friendly.

Liked the hotel decor and amenities! Shower floor was not very clean. Staff were mostly helpful until after checkout. After 3 calls and transfers, the male reservation agent hung up on me when I tried to find out why I was overcharged and had not received an email receipt for checkout. He accused me of yelling when I complained about being transferred many times to the wrong department. An excuse for being criticized I guess which unfortunately has become a norm!

So… over priced for the experience, dirty sheets, not service with the baggage to the room… dirty tables… I mean I talk with one of the managers they clean the room and they offer me something to eat... But how you recieve the people with a room in a bad condition also the price.

The staff and service were exceptional. Everyone was so nice. Our rooms were big and very nicely appointed and very tasteful. The location was excellent and easy to get around. I would say the only reason I did 4 stars and not 5 stars was because our window looked at a cement wall. It was pretty dismal view. I would definitely stay again but would request or book a city view or anything on a higher floor.

The location is great. The coffee and snacks are a great perk. The big drawback for us was the bed. It dipped and we slopped into the middle. We both have back issues and if you do as well, the beds here are not for you.

I have stayed at the Halcyon several times. It's in a great location, the staff is very helpful, dining options are good, the roof top bar is great and the pool nice. The rooms are a little small, but overall it's a nice hotel.

Rooftop food and bar were excellent. Staff were outstanding all around. Room was impeccable. Everything was in great order EXCEPT the one essential item in a hotel - the mattress. The mattress was heavily worn and sagging. I did not sleep well.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and it has a great vibe. The only drawback is sleeping in really isn’t an option. There was so much noise. I wasn’t sure if they were doing construction or if somebody was just tapping on the walls.

Not sure how this place has 4-5 stars. Ive stayed at double trees better than this. The rooms are basically college dorm style, very very small. Stayed for 2 nights both mornings i was woken up by maintenance ppl drilling literally outside my door at 6:45 am, (no alarm clock needed!) besides the rooms being tiny, the walls are paper thin, construction on the street super early, stains on my sheets, AC sounded like an explosion everytime it kicked on and ran SUPER loud. This place is nust not what youre paying for. I paid 3600 for 2 nights for myself and my two employees thinking we were staying somewhere decent. The staff was kind (front desk and valet) so no shot to them, but as far the hotel itself, dont promote yourself as a high end 4/5 star hotel if you arent going to operate like one. Will not return better options in the area for far less that are better options.

The lobby and look of the room was beautiful. The bed was a Murphy bed and had the worst comfort. There was also a weird window into the shower. If someone needs the bathroom at night, the whole room lights up. Construction on our floor was loud and active early in the AM. The $60 parking and $35 “resort” fee were also unavoidable. Have stayed in a lot of hotels and travel weekly. The value for this hotel is not there.

Very pretty lobby, and excellent staff. Once we got to the room I was disappointed in the size and that there was nowhere for my wife to get ready. The walls are very thin, you could hear everything in the rooms/hallway around you. I also upgraded to a room that said had a “city view” and was larger. Our view was of a wall of a building, and I can’t imagine how small their normal rooms are.

The property has a great location, close to the Cherry Creek Mall, the stores in Cherry Creek and excellent restaurants. We also loved the champagne/beer reception when we arrived. The heated rooftop pool and hot tub were nice, as well. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our room. We paid for a "Great King," which was supposed to have a "city view," more living space and a larger sofa than a "King Den" room. The view from our room was the wall of a building that was very close to our hotel. The "sofa" was barely the size of a small loveseat. When I called the front desk to inquire whether or not we actually were given a "Great King" room the woman at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. She said, "Yep, that\'s a Great King." However, the other clerks we encountered at the front desk were extremely friendly and professional. ( Another young woman and two different young men.) The refrigerator in our room didn\'t work. When I called the front desk about this, the same rude woman said, "It\'s not really a refrigerator, it\'s just a cooler," although it looked like a refrigerator and didn\'t seem to be cooling at all. She then asked if I wanted a refrigerator and I said yes, and a different refrigerator was brought to our room while we were gone. The mattress was saggy and uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. There was no body wash in the shower or anywhere in the bathroom. Instead there was a bottle of body lotion in the shower, in place of body wash.

Everything was fine when we checked in on the 1st. However, when we came back from our conferences at 11PM on the 1st, the nightmare began. The alarm started going off because it was out of battery. It beeps every 60 seconds. We called the front desk and asked to change a room. She told me that they were fully booked. Then we asked to change the battery. She told me the engineer was off. Then we asked to get a ladder and battery so we can change ourselves. She said she would look into it but never responded again. We looked for other hotels at that point, but everything was sold out within 5 miles. So we asked for the ear plugs. Again they don't have any. I was awake until 3AM on the 2nd almost missed my meeting in the morning. At 10AM on the second, I went down stairs and found the manager, Colter. He sincerely apologized and offered to comp the room for that night. I accepted it. However, when I was checking out, there was no email confirmation on this matter. I tried to reach out to Colter, but got no responses. This is really unacceptable.

My wife and I have come to this hotel for several years for our anniversary. While the location in Cherry Creek is central and convenient, the lack of service will have us find a new hotel moving forward. We called down to front desk to ask for some water to be brought up to our room, was told that it’s on the way but nothing ever came. It’s not that big of a hotel, but it felt they couldn’t be bothered. Oh well I guess it could be a one-off thing but next year we will try something new.

After a terrible trip and a lost third-party reservation, the staff at halcyon came through. The red-headed angel of a manager rectified every problem with aplomb. He was unflappable, expertly navigating the situation with ease. Promote him. The valet staff also went above and beyond. 5 stars

Hotel is understaffed. Front desk people are selling weddings on the phone and preparing lattes for guests while others wait to check in.Very inefficient. I waited to extend my room for a night while the one clerk available prepared coffees for the party in front of me. Also, they wanted to charge me $50 to check in early. That just is tacky for a hotel that attempts to be upmarket. Restaurant also understaffed and overwhelmed at busy times.

Booked room/class was not available when I arrived (around midnight) , very bad experience waiting to ended being placed in a lower room for a $100 credit! I don’t care about the $100! If I booked a room I want to make sure the room os available otherwise to be upgraded not downgraded.
