Playa Blanca Beach Resort - All Inclusive

This is a large resort about 120 Km from Panama City on Pacific coast . The nature is beautiful in the resort which has not been renovated for at least ten years . The resort has several sections including privately owned condos and villas. The food quality is 3 star at best with reasonable choices . The most attractive feature of this resort is a gigantic man made lagoon with concrete floor . However, I was lucky to be under radar and was able to use the best and cleanest part of this Lagoon during my 3 days stay . I learned at the end that part is reserved for the units owners only ! The price is reasonable and staff are friendly and only a few speak some English. It is a beautiful and comfortable place with a variety of sport facilities.

They have multiple options for units to stay in. We stayed at the Town Center towers, and we had a lovely view of the logan. A good selction of non resort eateries if you get tired of the resort food. Overall, relaxing, enjoyable and child friendly.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Dirty bed frames, black mold in bathroom and in room. Everything is outdated and there are 20 beach chairs only at beach and maybe 30 beach chairs at the pool for over 1000 customers - ridiculous. You could consider sitting on sand but there are 4*4’s all over sand area and horses peeing and pooping all over so sitting on sand is also out of question. The pool is also dirty and filled w empty drink cups and empty plates and no one seems to care or want to clean it up. We raised many of these issues to several people working here but no one seems to care and they say talk to management - management also does not care. I travel around globe at least 10 times a year and realize Customer service in Panama is bad- but this place tops it w being worst! Check in and check out is worst ever- we prepaid and yet waited in 2 separate lines over 1 hour to check in and then another 1 hour wait to just return the keys- all normal hotels have key drop off areas. We came for new year eve and the only good thing was the year end show. Buffet food is not bad for buffet style and the food service people were nice. The beach overall is also dirty but this is common in Panama as people leave trash when they come to beach. This place seems ok for Panamanians but anyone used to nice places should stay away.

This property is a lot of fun, but the food selections aren't great. We stayed two nights. We were not able to eat at a restaurant the night we arrived (their rules? they just said we couldn't) and the second night we were there there was only one restaurant open and it was fully booked out by 7 am the day of. The buffet was not great food. Understandably the food selections are catered towards Panamanian guests, but there were American food options, but the quality was very poor. I didn't enjoy eating the food for the most part. The kids loved the place which was nice. They were fine with the food. Our group was 17 total people, so plenty of opinions to go around. But overall our experience was fun and enjoyable. They close the pools too early. Our kids wanted to keep playing but they closed the pools with the slides at like 5 or 6 pm and the other pools just an hour later which was strange. They also "closed the beach" and kicked our kids off the beach at 5 when their life guards left. This shouldn't be the case with a public beach. They should just post signs that life guards are not on the beach. Plenty of day light out, but we weren't allowed on the beach. The rooms were nice, but the beds were small. The rooms claimed to fit 6 people in them, but only had two fulls in two of our rooms and two queens in another room. We had to request rollaway beds that were in very poor condition and extremely hard. The room size was big enough to have a 3rd bed.

Location was nice but is lacking cleaning around pool and eating areas. Perhaps restricting any drinking inside the pool.

The staff was amazing, they do need more food options and then the gym was closed during my stay so I did not like that

I am of Panamanian decent and I am embarrassed by this resort. The description provided by hotels.com and the pictures are the opposite of what I witnessed. The gym is DEPLORABLE. The equipment was either broken, missing or rusted. No ventilation in the gym, and when I requested for the ac to be turned on I was handed a broken remote for my to turn it on. No repairman came to check it out. My room was filled with mold, dust, dirty sheets, dirty toilet. No coffee maker, no iron. The ceiling had mold, the closet, the lamp shade too. Only three restaurants were open one at a time. The drinks were served in cheap 99 cents plastic cups. The towel station closed earlier than 6. The elevator was filled with mold as well. When I asked to change my room, I was ignored. I requested a refund or at least partial from hotels.com and they said it was non-refundable. STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE.

Loved the pools and beach; just closed a bit early for what I would have liked: 5pm for salt water pool which isn’t salt water at all and is only a small area that is slotted for the hotel which is annoying for what they are advertising as the biggest pool, 6pm for pool with slides, and then 8pm for the main pool. When you pick your rooms and choose access to saltwater pool you are in for a long walk everyday since that building is the farthest from all other amenities and dining. Also all the water activities you have to rent equipment and it’s very pricey. I didn’t choose to do any of those. Overall I would definitely return being better informed how it all operates. Staff was super amazing and food was great! I definitely would recommend since it’s a great time! We stayed for 4days and did love it! Food was amazing with a great variety! Great for families and adults only trips. They cater to both with their different activities throughout the day!

This place is a collection of multiple properties. I was put in a property that wasn't listed as an option on Hotels.com nor expedia. The pool in the photo wasn't operational. I had to walk a quarter mile to the actual resort to access functioning pools and other amenities. They don't offer enough chair on the beach to accommodate more than 20 people. A joke of an operation if you ask me. I booked an ocean view and the room I got was first a 4th floor with a parking lot view but I changed to the first floor with the SAME VIEW because the sliding door lock was busted. The rooms were condos with no cookware, plates, cups, nor utensils. And worst of all.....they don't provide FACE TOWELS! They only had drying towels and towels to step onto upon exiting the shower. Book at your own risk.

Mold presence everywhere, rooms deteriorating, restaurants are not available, process food Please save your money and book somewhereelse

The room was very clean and had a kitchen. The balcony was large and had chairs to sit and relax. The area is clean and quiet.

Worst hotel ever! The place was very dirty and full of cockroaches. It is nothing like what it looks like online. The place is old and run down. This place is a scam. We could not stay at this property due to cockroaches and dirty room. We had a wonderful stay at a nice clean hotel in the city. It was a hard time to get back my money which I didn’t get back the right amount. Please avoid this hotel!

Attempts to dine at other restaurants were hindered by a reservation only policy. The beach area was well-maintained, but concerns arose about the underweight horse used for rides. The pool deck was clean, but the water seemed cloudy. First-time at an all-inclusive, this experience has sparked my interest to continue exploring similar resorts.

No había mucha variedad en el menú de las comidas. Los jugos y tragos muy diluidos la calidad bajó muchísimo en comparación a visitas anteriores. El aire acondicionado de la habitación no funcionaba, sábanas manchadas y espejos y mobiliario de la habitación deteriorado, adicional la ducha no funcionaba bien. Solo salía agua hirviendo

El lugar estaba algo sucio el baño con hongos las luces internas eran muy tenues el televisor no funcionaba bien la ducha no se podía abrir o cerrar el teléfono no tenía línea de conexión a destacar la atención en el área del restaurante.

This place cost $347 USD per night, this was definitely not worth the money. We had bugs, mold, no hot water, and broken furniture, chipped floor tiles and a swimsuit panty liner stuck to our front door for the whole stay!! The safe didn’t work, the sliding door didn’t lock, the TV wouldn’t turn off. To say we are disappointed is an understatement.

Rooms were old with almost everything broken inside , from the safe, to the dresser, to the phone. Dirty bathrooms. The entire place needs to be re-done

The location is good. The conditions of the rooms is poor. Sliding door lock will not work and using a pin. Doors do not close properly and noise gets in the room. The floor tiles and entire room need deep cleaning and new furniture. Conditions were really run down. Reservations at restaurants is a nightmare and can only be done during breakfast, lunch or dinner. How about ludricous. Will never recommended it.the value is 30% of they charge.

It was quiet and cozy. Updated rooms, variety of foods. The weather was wonderful and staff was friendly and helpful.

Great location, close to some bigger city, food is delicious with plenty of variety if you are not a picky eater, only issue is the wifi in rooms is spotty. AND BEWARE if you are renting a car, go with someone other than Budget who sold me extra insurance cause they were not seeing our expedia booking and then charged me extra for a tire when returned...

Room are very old, no control of the AC - room were very cold even with 2 blankets I was still cold. water from the shower was too weak and I couldn’t wash my body so don’t ask for my hair. No glass in the room, food was not really good. Meat too cook, no house wine at the Italian restaurant so you have to pay for wine if you want any. Music is so loud, no way you can have a spot to just relax. Even at night, the music is so loud, it was difficult to go to bed early. I wanted to leave before the end of my stay, they did not want to cancel my last night and reimburse me but I left anyway. I will never go back there and I will never recommend this place to my worse ennemies.

Dario and Maytel, at the front desks, were fantastic! Especially Dario was very helpful and sweet! Food was good, as well as the pools and the beach. Also, there was a lost of activities and entertainment at this resort! Only inconvenience is that is very far from Ciudad de Panamá Airport (almost 3 hours by taxi). We might come back when the other airport which is like 5 minutes away, start having flights from United States.

Long and tediuos check in process. Room looks old, like the whole complex. Poor maintenance, no hot water. You need to walk the whole hotel to get and return towels. Low quality of drinks and foods, not many options. Staff is friendly.

O processo de check-in foi estranho. Não explicaram nada. Nem um mapa do local. O check-out foi o pior da minha vida. Fiquei meia hora em pé num calor insuportável só para conferirem o quarto. Só que não tinha nada de consumo. Era só pra ver se havíamos roubado alguma coisa. E nesse tempo todo ninguém conferiu. Fui embora. Atendentes grossos e sem instrução.

We booked to stay in the resort, however they sent us to the towncenter that is a location outside of the resort and pretty far from the beach. It was not what we booked. I disloked it and I wouldnt come back.

Fui en silla de ruedas y me hospede en town center. Para comidas hay que ir al lado del resort. Fue horrible movilizarme. Las rampas muy impinadas. En la habitación la silla no llega hasta el baño, por lo cual fue horrible pensar en ir.

It was just ok. I would say overall it was more of a 2.5 star hotel. Everything was a bit outdated, staff was just ok, check in was not great at all due to reservation mix up. I would only consider staying here if it was a few hundred cheaper off the overall price. Food was just ok too. Has a big potential due to location.

Deixou muito a desejar. Os quartos são bons e a área da piscina legal, mas por se tratar de uma proposta All Inclusive, foi bem decepcionante o serviço entregue. Lá eles dispõem de 5 restaurantes, 1 buffet e quatro a la carte. Todos os dias abre o Buffet e apenas 1 a la carte, que recebe uns 50 pessoas apenas (Reserva antecipada) o complexo tem uns 10 prédios de aptos e eles querem abrir apenas 1 restaurante por dia? Para umas 50 pessoas apenas? e o resto que também pagou? Bebidas do All inclusive de marcas ruins.

Property is ok, needs maintenance, only 2 restaurants with regular food, very basic

Food at the buffet was good, a variety for every taste and preferences. Restaurants reservations were not that bad and there's alway the choice of complementing with the buffet if La Carta is not as expected. The bed was comfortable and clean.

La Comida es terrible, repetitiva, los snacks son malos, la carne molida nos intoxicó, tuvimos diarrea todo el paseo no disfrutamos nada, el baño dañado no bajaba la cadena, las camas arenosas fue horrible a playa blanca no vamos nunca mas
