Megapolis Hotel Panama

I will give this property a five star because it was in the heart of everything, restaurants, shopping, excursions, casino, nightlife and it was connected to the mall. It’s was easy getting Uber to and from the property. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The pool had some of the best views in Panama They also offer a very good happy hour at the pool and at the upstairs bar. The only problem we had with this property is the bed was extremely hard. Every night we put the pillows on top of the mattress and lay on pillows. I still will say this property is a 10/10 and I would highly recommend.

The hot tub was not working. The spa is also not 24/7 but everything else was amazing!!

Dining options were limited. the nightclub and sky bar or lounge were all closed. the bell staff and security were amazingly helpful. will recommend

The restaurants, bars, rooftop bar, and clubs were not in operation. These were big advantages of the hotel in the past.

We totally enjoyed our stay. I absolutely feel in love the mega size gym which was huge for a hotel! However, we were quite disappointed that several restaurants, rooftop and club areas were not available as advertised. The steakhouse area was completely closed and only one restaurants was operational. Overall, it was a good stay! We would definitely go back!

I was very disappointed that you have so many things, but everything was closed. The steakhouse closed, the club closed, smoothie store closed. Couldn’t do anything on the rooftop bar because it was closed. Looking at the views is always important for travelers. Also extremely hard to control the temperature in the rooms. I was freezing in the middle of June. You can’t keep the door open because the floors will sweat and it gets slippery. We also don’t get clean towels each day. When I asked it took hours. But the hotel is beautiful. Oh happy hour every night is great. Bed was not the best. The mall is connected but barely any stores open there. Room has a fridge but no microwave which isn’t good because I always bring food home from dinner. The breakfast ladies were very friendly.

The hotel is in a great location. Lots of place to eat and things to do. It's a short uber to the clubs and la vida ella waterfront. It's walkable for those who aren't afraid to J walk. The hotel itself is pretty clean, the rooms are large but they could have done more with space. The bathrooms could use shelves. The pool is open until 8pm (not 10pm as shown on expedia). The pool area and pool are very spacious. Breakfast was good lots of option. Overall, a very solid hotel.

The room was neglected 2/3 nights, the pool was freezing and the hottub was broken, the lights in the bathroom flickered. Both the shower and sink were clogged and took very long times to drain. Breakfast was rough, it was to busy for the amount of seats and getting coffee from the staff wasn’t guaranteed

The rooms were disgusting. It looks like they do just a quick switch over. The housekeeping needs to take more time and do a deep clean of the rooms, because the pictures I took when I arrived into my room are disgusting.

Clean room, the best part was the view from the room

Room was dirty and smelled bad. Has definitely changed form when I stayed there in 2016. Also, a $200 hold was placed on my credit card that I was told would be released within three days of checking out, its now been 6 days and the hold has still not been released.

Took an hour wait in line to check in. No linens provided for the sofa sleeper and no one answered when we called operator several times over two days. There’s a heavy detergent scent in the lobby and halls trying to cover the damp, musty smell.

This hotel failed to meet the requirements of the hotel with its cleanliness and maintenance procedures.. they didn’t clean my room for 3 days and the day did they reused the same dirty towel and sheets.

The property was very nice, the only issue we encountered was the bed was extremely firm.

I booked the megapolis on my 2nd trip to panama. I booked the oceanview suite with balcony. The 1st room was on the 15th floor, soon as we walked in i could smell mold extremelystrong . I noted in every hallway had humidifiers trying to absorb the hotel. They moved me to another room on 16th but no balcony. So eventually moved to 21st floor balcony room. Rooms are a bit outdated. Our toilet clogged once on the trip and our rain shower was nice however the drain did not function well, so your feet were covered with at least 2inches of water at all time. Also only 2 bath towels. No face clothes. They also provide soap, shampoo, condition and lotion They provided water and beer in the room. Which is changed daily. The complementary breakfast was ok. Best part fruit and omlete station but some limited choices for meats. We did a day at the pool, kinda quiet. They have a hot tub but was closed for maintence. Drinks at the pool are $10. And made well. The area of the hotel is right off the highway, which is quite busy for crossing the street The staff are friendly and polite. I stayed at the riu last time and had a better experience. Will not be booking this hotel again. Just an honest review due to the smelland wear and tear apparence

Room was OK. At least the second one they switched us to after first one had a broken safe and lackluster AC. Problem is that "0" for the operator does not work so if you need the smallest thing, you have to go stand in line at the lobby to ask for it. Very annoying. Once you get to staff, they try to help. It's just very inconvenient and time consuming to get anything done (check-in, requests, check-out, etc).

No rooftop, nothing special to entertain the guests. TV in the room did not work.

House keeping came in but didn’t clean the room. The toilet paper was removed and never replaced. I advised the front desk and they never sent house keeping. Also the lights when you enter the room didn’t work in multiple rooms. The refrigerator didn’t work either.

y very long time. And it happened to everyone all afternoon/evening long…there was ALWAYS a long, very slow check in line wnd the people in line were very frustrated. I will never stay at Negopolis again. Awful check in experience. 10 times longer than any other hotel. What is the problem?

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Megapolis! I will be back. The staff was very friendly and helpful from beginning to end. I would like to give a special thank you to Antany at the Front Desk. He was AMAZING! We had language barriers but he still was helpful and didn’t get upset. So professional and attentive. We had an issue with our front entrance lights being out upon arrival. We let him know and when we returned later that evening the issue was resolved. The hotel itself smells like Heaven when you walk in! The rooms were clean, we had a spectacular view of the city from the 18th floor. I was super impressed and so happy to wake to that view my entire stay. The hotel provides enough entertainment and food options if you wanted to do a staycation as well. They have multiple bars and restaurants and activities going on. Panama itself has been added to my favorite list of places to visit in addition to my stay here. I’m a Christmas baby and was traveling for my birthday. They do Christmas right in Panama and at the hotel. The hotel is also attached to the outlets if you want to do light shopping. But if you want more high end shopping go to Allbrook Mall. I’m planning on returning again next year for my birthday and will be staying at Megapolis again, I cannot wait!

Believe or not. Wait an hour to check in. A 60 floor building with only 3 front desk agents to check in people while a line of around 40 people are waiting. Bathroom floor was still wet when entered room and there is no hairdryer.

The hotel is great and the staff was helpful and accommodating.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Is convenient to a lot of places Ubers are extremely cheap anyway to go anywhere in the city.. the food is great. The hotel is connected to a mall that looks like it used to be a close to go to, but a lot of the stores are now closed but only about five minutes away and an Uber from the mall with the luxury stores definitely will revisit

This hotel is very conveniently located. It offers easy access to all major highways, malls, casco viejo and restaurants.

Nice place, friendly staff and close to many restaurants and shopping.

Our stay was great the hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and always willing to help, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing.

I had a wonderful stay! The buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. The bed was super comfy, and the modern room was both stylish and functional, complete with a mini fridge for added convenience. Free valet parking was a great bonus, and the location couldn't be better—close to restaurants and shopping areas. The pool on the terrace was a highlight, providing a relaxing atmosphere and a beautiful view. Highly recommend!

No me gustó que indicaran que el servicio a la habitación era 24 horas, llame un día en la noche para comprar algo de comer y me dijeron que ya enviaban la carta, nunca llegó, llame nuevamente y nunca más me contestaron la llamada en recepción. Por favor no ofrezcan servicios que tienen disponible. Por otro lado, mi habitación duró 2 días sin aseo, le pregunté a las chicas de limpieza el porqué no lo hacían en mi habitación y me dijeron que podría ser un error y que la habitación apareciera como desocupada en el sistema, me acerqué a recepción y me dijeron que ya enviaban las chicas de aseo. El registro se puede hacer hasta las 3 pm, yo llegué antes y me dijeron que debía esperar hasta la hora exacta, me acerque nuevamente a las 3 pm y me dicen que desafortunadamente mi habitación no estaba lista aún y que debía esperar un tiempo más, en compensación me ofrecieron un cóctel, pero yo solo quería descansar después de un largo viaje desde San Francisco, Ca. (8 horas) Estos tres aspectos me incomodaron mucho, de resto es un Hotel con mucho potencial, que se nota tuvo mejores días y que están tratando de recuperar.
