Don't be afraid of the negative reviews. The property itself was in great shape for its age and has everything you need. The food, drinks, and service were all good as well. They have a buffet for beakfast in the morning, a buffet and a place with burgers with fries and nachos for lunch, and 3 sit down restaurants for dinner. Also another buffet for dinner as well. They also have 24 hour room service we used a few times as well. The only thing i could say negative about the food is that there was not a huge variety of options at the buffets. They have everything you need though. Always 4 choices of meat, carbs, and vegetables. Our son also enjoyed the fresh fruits and desert bar. The staff were mostly bilingual or broken English. The water is not the Caribbean, so dont expect it to be clear. But we were still able to get in and swim. We even saw a sloth on the property one day! I'd give it closer to a 3.5 star then a 4, but would still recommend. Only a 20 minute or so Uber into the city costing around $10 per way.

The dated property is evident right from the lobby. The main pool is missing so many sections from the floor it’s surprising they allow it to remain open. 2 restaurants and a buffet but the buffet pretty much serves everything you find at the 2 restaurants. The room is very standard, our fridge didn’t work and the curtains left a gap for sunlight to creep in. We got bit by bugs in and around the room so after one night we decided to leave early.

The check-in process was a breeze. The hotel grounds were well maintained, but the room was just average. The only bummer was that our balcony needed to be cleaned as it was crawling with bugs and insects. There are only two bars on the resort: the main bar and the pool bar. The pool bar closes at 6 pm, and the main bar closes at 11 pm. The service at the main bar was great thanks to Jorge but trying to get a drink at the pool bar was frustrating. After 10 pm, there’s no entertainment, so you will definitely have to leave the resort if you want entertainment or to party. This resort was about 20 minutes from Casa Viejo. Ubers was super affordable to get into the city. The food was a total letdown. There are only four restaurants, and the Italian restaurant was the only decent one. We had to leave the resort multiple times to get food. Oh yea, don’t even think about going to the Oceans Seafood Restaurant. The food was terrible. Worst food restaurant on the resort. The only saving grace was the room service, which was pretty decent and probably better than some of the restaurants. It took about 40 minutes after ordering. I would say overall, I had high expectations for this dreams resort since I’ve stayed at Dreams resorts in the past. In my opinion, I wouldn’t recommend you stay at this property. The money you spend to stay here is definitely not worth it.

This is good value for money!! Excellent outdoor facilities! Impressive pools & landscaping! Many instagrammable spots! Good food options at Oceana and Bordeaux at night! Top shelf liquor 24/7 great entertainment ! My kids husband baby sitter and I had a blast! For Sure small areas may need renovating but it does not take away from the overall experience. For the price this is a fantastic hotel!

Overall I had a great time and a great experience at this resort. The pros are that we stayed in a deluxe preferred room which gave us access to the preferred pool which was adults only. The service from Eric the bartender was fantastic! And the service from the gentleman at the poolside snack bar Alvaro was phenomenal.

Not the best but not terrible. Everything was average. The dining options were limited. The infinity pool was under construction so there was only 1 pool available to guests. No waiters coming around to serve drinks. You had to go to the bar. The “entertainment area” had an overwhelming smell of mildew/mold which gave me a headache.

Properly and surrounding area are beautiful. Food and drinks were good. Staff was friendly and courteous. No complaints as amenities go, they had daily and nightly activities on property. Only complaint would be the raccoons and agouti rodents coming onto property due to room service dishes being left outside by people after they finish eat. This encouraged the animals to come onto property in groups trying to feed off of what was left on plates and dishes. All in all it was a great vacation and my family and I enjoyed ourselves.

This was worth every penny. I have to admit, the cost makes this a great deal. The property could use a facelift. The dining options could be more diverse and adventurous. The service was very good. The room was nice. Staff was friendly and attentive. For what I paid, this was a great place. Most everything was included in the cost. There are premium options, but they aren't necessary to enjoy the stay. Pools were very nice. The beach was close and lovely. If you are driving, do not trust Google Maps to get you here. Ask it to find Veracruz then, when you are close, ask directions to the hotel.

Angi at the buffet was great. Typical all inclusive. Not really a kids resort but they had a good time. They didnt have an onsite photographer which would have been nice. The food was good. We only ate at 3 out of the 4 places since one didnt allow kids. We had preferred but couldnt use that pool because they didnt allow kids. The country was beautiful and fun to learn about. The concierge was not helpful and the VIP desk consistently asked you to sign up. The reaort was perfectly staffed. Room service was ok but forgot some of our order placed the day before.

The property is in desperate need of updating. I truly emphasize DESPERATE NEED! We stayed in a Preferred Junior King Suite in an effort to avoid the previous reviews about the room conditions, and enjoy the scenery. However, our room smelled of mildew, there were old spider webs on the top of the bed, and our shower door would not remain closed. We actually had to stuff toilet paper along the shower door to keep it closed. I immediately notified the manager on duty about the condition of the room, and was told to address it with the front desk the next morning. We did this, and were given the runaround all day about checking availability of matching rooms. Keep in mind that the resort was basically empty, and we detected no other occupants in any of the adjacent suites that matched ours. The view from the first floor suite (that I paid hundreds to upgrade to) was blocked by palm trees. There was virtually no views of the landscape we were sold on. Our phone in our room only functioned on speaker mode, and that was useless still because no one EVER answered the phone at the front desk! ALL of these issues were brought to the attention of the front desk staff. We were stuck in that musty, expensive room for 3 days. The other staff was pleasant, and we actually enjoyed the food. However, I would not recommend staying at this resort. Our experience was not very good.

Loved panama! But definitely wont return to this facility. When checked in, my room smelled like cigarettes, furniture was dusty and dirty. Thank goodness i bought my lysol wipes. Shower had no hot water, shower walls had hair on them. Even found a roach on the toilet paper. I complain and was given another room that was cleaner but after the first ordeal of previous room. I cleaned it myself with my lysol wipes. Also my mini bar was empty not even a bottle of water to drink my first night.

It is a wonderful property in a fabulous location, with a beuatiful beach and majestict surrounding nature, but the property is run-down and not well maintained. The lobby and the restaurants have dirty furniture with super soiled fabric, the rooms are superficially cleaned, with dirt behind the curtains and in the corners. The furniture in the rooms is very old and very cheap and cries for an update. It is a pity since the place is wonderful and the staff friendly. With professional management and a deep cleaning and update it could be turned easily into a 5-star property.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The most concerning issue was the presence of bed bugs, which made my stay incredibly uncomfortable and stressful. I immediately reported this to the front desk, but the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room did not meet expectations. While the staff did try their best to address the situation, I requested to speak with the manager during my stay, but no one ever came to speak with us, which added to my frustration. We booked the “Deluxe” King Suite thinking it would be a nice room … maybe don’t book the Deluxe … The room was mildewed and the smell even came home with us. Outside of the STRONG mildew smell in the room (mildew was visible in the corner of the bathroom poorly covered with paint) everything else was great, the initial check-in, the staff, the entertainment team, the pool and beach area — they were all amazing. It’s just a bummer how it smelled so bad of mildew - I literally said to my partner everytime we went to the room it was a strong mildew smell… the first day I even felt a little sick and had headaches majority of my time there which could have been caused by the strong smell. I didn’t get good pictures but still captured some of it nonetheless.

Outside the city but not too far so you could go into the city for the day or spend the day relaxing at the resort at the pool. Staff was great and the service was great as well. The only issue was the AC on our room, it couldn’t ever get lower than 74° and we had them come work on it three times, it worked for the first few days but then stopped being able to get it cooled off which became annoying because it’s very humid hot and muggy. It was hard to get comfortable. I finally gave up asking for them to come look at it because we were at the end of the trip after the third time and I didn’t want to change rooms at that point because that was going to be their next solution.

The architecture of the property was nice. The building design mirrored that of the neighboring Westin. We later found out it was because the Dreams used to be owned by the Westin. I did not like that everything felt damp all of the time. I understand the proximity to the equator and the rainy season math but there should be provisions on keeping the dampness down in the rooms. Maybe a split unit solution? Also, its unclear if this property only utilizes the All Inclusive Hyatt App or if the phone in the room is supposed to work. Attempts to contact the desk via phone were unsuccessful on multiple occasions. Housekeeping was hit and miss. Sometimes our room was cleaned and sometimes not. And when it was we may or may not have gotten fresh towels. Room service was nice. I would like to have the option of ordering adult beverages as well. And the app needs fine tuning as well. Its not intuitive or user friendly. The staff was okay. I was disappointed to not see any pool attendants taking drink orders. And there needs to be more bartenders on staff regardless if its the off season or not.

I thought the staff was amazing, and the grounds, lobby and public areas were well kept. They can improve on the quality of food which was a hit or miss most days. My biggest gripe was my preferred room was very worn & needed fixing up. There were what looked like rust spots on the Mirror, cracks & discolorations on the walls/ceilings and the bottoms/edges of the door were damaged/scratched pretty bad.

Property was well maintained. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. I had to ask multiple times for some things (towels, robes). Additionally, I contacted the property in advance regarding my friend’s birthday on Saturday, 8/9. I was told amenities would be in the room. I confirmed on check in with the concierge and again with another concierge later in the day. Both said they would take care of it. On the afternoon of my friend’s birthday 8/9, I again had to go ask if anything would be done in the room. Yes eventually she did receive 2 pieces of cake. I shouldn’t have had to ask multiple times and was disappointed that the resort wasn’t able to put a banner on the door or any other decorations in the room. I was willing to pay or bring decorations had I known.

I recently stayed at this resort expecting a relaxing and enjoyable all-inclusive experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas. Food Options & Quality: One of the biggest letdowns was the food. There were very limited dining options, and the variety just wasn’t there. For an all-inclusive resort, I expected a range of restaurants or at least diverse menus, but we found ourselves eating the same mediocre meals day after day. The quality itself was subpar — bland, poorly presented, and lacking in freshness. Entertainment: Entertainment was almost non-existent. There were no engaging shows, events, or even music in the evenings. It made the atmosphere feel dull, especially at night when most guests were left to entertain themselves. For a place marketed as a getaway destination, it was surprisingly quiet and uninspired. Staffing & Service: The resort seemed very understaffed. Long waits at the bar and restaurants, and very few staff around to assist with questions or needs. While the staff who were present did their best and were generally polite, it was clear they were overwhelmed and stretched too thin. Overall: While the property itself had potential, the overall experience was disappointing. If you’re looking for great food, engaging entertainment, and attentive service, this resort may not meet your expectations. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was accommodating. When trying to get service in the room it was difficult. Either they didn't answer the phone or they said they were coming and didn't show. I had to go downstairs and complain a few times. The Oceana and Portofino were good for dinner both with a limited menu that is different from the app. The Market Cafe was Ok and the other buffet by the pool was ok. The pools were well kept except for the bugs in the pool. They should have come around with a net throughout the day to clear them out. Usually when I upgrade to the Preferred or Club there is a Butler, there were none. I didn't even receive the Dreams bag.

Room service is awful - it can take over two hours for your food to arrive. Housekeeping often forgets to clean the room, so you end up having to go to the front desk to request it. When I arrived, I had to wait two hours past check-in time to get my room. The restaurants aren’t any better — you can wait 30 minutes just for drinks, and the food? They served cold chicken. Overall, a terrible experience. I’d skip this hotel.

It is about 40 minutes from the city. Taxis ran us close to $70 one way from the airport. Transfers through the hotel shuttles cost almost $60 one way. Some of the staff speak little to no English. Most of the lobby staff are fluent in English and other languages. All of the staff were very hospitable. The bartenders were great. The vouchers through Expedia were okay. The amount of the spa treatment prices was a bit excessive. The vouchers don't help much in bringing the cost down, because you can't combine them. The excursions were nice but pricey. Overall, a good stay, depending on if you like a secluded vacation versus the city.

This is a really small all inclusive compared to the places weve been before. Nice location but not really near anything. If you want to sight see or explore local restaurants etc., there is nothing nearby. The dining options at this resort really need some work. The buffet is generally bad with limited options when its open. The other restaurants are OK, but be aware, some have dress code requirements that are not listed on the website. The hotel chain really needs to look at a new or much better Food/Beverage manager. Bars run out of drinks, primarily beer, early in the afternoon? The housekeeping staff work really hard and do a great job of keeping the rooms amd hallways really clean. I wouldn't stay here again, mostly because of the food options and lack thereof.

Although I wasn’t directly affected in any way,I think they may have staffing issues due to the location of the property. It’s about 30 min outside of the city and that’s not bad, especially for travelers. For the people of the community, it may be difficult to get there (no buses). I do think the seaside grille (by the pool) could have had better options. I travelled with my son (17) and at that age they will eat almost anything. He typically chose to eat rice or go around to the quick stop and grab a burger and fries. My overall experience was positive and would recommend it to others. Oscar, Ayshel, Byron were all remarkable, but again, all of the staff was pleasant and helpful

I thought it was nice ! The food is not 5 stars, but I thought it was good for the price, the beach is not really for swimming but they have kayaks so that’s cool. We also saw sloths in the almond tree on the beach part. The service was nice people very helpful and kind. Overall it was a good time.

This all inclusive property is located within the vicinity of Panamá city. We enjoyed the restaurant options, staff friendly, beach was rough.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel itself was nice, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. It lacked flavor and quality, which really took away from the experience. If the dining could be improved, this would be an excellent place to stay.

I recently stayed at this resort expecting a relaxing and enjoyable all-inclusive experience, but unfortunately, it fell short in several key areas. Food Options & Quality: One of the biggest letdowns was the food. There were very limited dining options, and the variety just wasn’t there. For an all-inclusive resort, I expected a range of restaurants or at least diverse menus, but we found ourselves eating the same mediocre meals day after day. The quality itself was subpar — bland, poorly presented, and lacking in freshness. Entertainment: Entertainment was almost non-existent. There were no engaging shows, events, or even music in the evenings. It made the atmosphere feel dull, especially at night when most guests were left to entertain themselves. For a place marketed as a getaway destination, it was surprisingly quiet and uninspired. Staffing & Service: The resort seemed very understaffed. Long waits at the bar and restaurants, and very few staff around to assist with questions or needs. While the staff who were present did their best and were generally polite, it was clear they were overwhelmed and stretched too thin. Overall: While the property itself had potential, the overall experience was disappointing. If you’re looking for great food, engaging entertainment, and attentive service, this resort may not meet your expectations. I hope the management addresses these issues soon because the location itself deserves better

Everything was good Lines for breakfast buffet was to long but otherwise breakfast was amazing great options to select from.

I arrived with low expectations after reading several reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this resort. The customer service truly stood out. Carlo, the bell attendant, provided excellent assistance, and Edwin, the bartender, delivered consistently outstanding service. He crafted my Old Fashioned perfectly every time, demonstrating both skill and pride in his work. The dining options were very good overall. The seafood and Italian restaurants were both excellent and highly recommended. The poolside restaurant offered attentive service, though the food quality did not match the other venues. Additionally, despite netting around the restaurant, birds often made their way inside, which was distracting and unappealing. The accommodations are comfortable but dated. The furniture showed noticeable wear and stains, and the mini refrigerator was in need of replacement. A deeper cleaning would also enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these issues, I was still able to enjoy my room. Guests should also be aware that the resort is located approximately one hour from the airport. In summary, while there are areas that could be improved, I had an enjoyable stay and would gladly return in the future.

The room cleanliness was poor, as was the maintenance. The food options at the buffet were limited and sometimes of poor quality. Property is beautiful and safe. Staff were friendly and attentive.

We stayed for 6 days in April. Resort was lovely but didn't like the fact it was kind of hilly. Well maintained grounds and the staff was courteous. Numerous pools and had one section reserved for adults only. We've been to numerous all inclusive resorts and the overall quality was good. The food on the buffet could have been hotter but the French and Italian restaurants were excellent. The ocean water wasn't that pretty blue water you see in Cancun but it was very calm and swimmable. Overall a solid B rating...good time but won't return.
