Hotel was good and the spa is 2nd to none, however the fish and chips in the restaurant is possibly the worst ive ever had. I would stay again but i would eat somewhere else.

Stayed over after a big family gathering in the hotel. Service during the meal for 25 people was excellent and staff were calm and helpful. The swimming pool was clean and pleasant. There was plenty of free parking with 6 @ 22kw electric car chargers with payment via an app.

Overnight stay, comfy bed, nice size room with en-suite, kettle for hot drinks, room temperature okay, free parking. Would have liked a swim/sauna but spa area was too expensive just for that, £20 pp.

The rooms are old, the floor in our room creaked wherever you put your foot, the TV in the room was so tiny they shouldn't have bothered, the bath was dirty and the staff in the spa area were unmotivated and didn't care about customer service presumably because of the pressure that they are under from the new owners to upsell everything. The spa area was clean but only available to hotel guests from 7-9am.

Hotel is a bit outdated but the spa is really lovely and the highlight of the stay. Staff were lovely and helpful but the room could have been cleaner, also there was no slip mat in the bath and it was slippery to shower in there. Word of warning, take your own toilet paper, it was properly rough. If you do visit recommend taking a walk through the country park next door, was so lovely

Very, outdated, 1st room was extremely noisy as it was next to the kitchen extraction units and the room smelt greasy which would lingered for days however I was moved room Uon request. Staff cleaning furniture with scrapers whilst guests chatting & eating. Facilities were chargeable not included as stated when booking so did not use. Ample parking but Would not stay again.

Very spacious room with comfortable bed, views over the car park and grounds and pleasant seating area. The bathroom had plenty of towels and good captive toiletries but overall felt a little dated with an over bath shower. The restaurant and bar area was very nice and we enjoyed good meals at reasonable prices. Nice to find plenty of free parking and electric charging available. Good to see that there are solar panels on the hotel roof.

While the are friendly and polite this was possibly the only upside of this hotel. It advertises pool and hot tub but what it don’t tell it’s only free to use between 7-9am all other times £40 The rooms are very dated and paper thin walls

when we got there for a 2 day stay. the check in was easy but our room was away at the back next to bin area.. as soon as we opened the door there was a strong smell of dampness and the room was cold. so straight back to reception who gave us another room.. this room was much better than the first one and warm. but we kept hearing people talking and though it was people outside our window but when we looked out. it was a roof and no one was there.. l got woke up with the sound of running water at 2.30am and thought l must have been dreaming. the next day we went for a spa and all my questions were answered as they have an opened air hot tub and when people were talking. it echoed off the tiles and explained the running water as they must have been cleaning it during the night..the room was nice enough but badly designed around tea/coffee area.and they only leave 2 small milk which barely makes one cup of tea..there breakfast was of good standard and well presented

Quite run down and in need to and upgrade. Very noisy all night and early in the morning. Not particularly clean. Staff were polite. Arrived back from an event at 11pm and were told we couldn’t get a drink in the bar as they weren’t serving.

£98 for a room, and couldn’t even get a towel of any sort. Checked in late in the evening, warm friendly check in, called reception in the morning who advised they’d be up right away with some towels, 45 minutes later decided to scrap the shower, due to needed to leave for work. Didn’t even ask me how was my stay, just a “I need to check there’s nothing outstanding in the account.

All staff very helpful and polite. Room was great and very clean, all other facilities were excellent. Used the pool bar and restaurant. Only issue was I felt the bed was pretty uncomfortable.

Needs updating the room was far to hot even with the radiator off the window wouldn’t stay open no hooks in the bathroom to hang dressing gown on no information in the bedroom about mealtime and no where when booking the room does it say about having to pay to use the swimming pool and spa £10 per person for a swim is a bit steep

We booked as it was close to an event we were attending in the nearby town. We arrived early, was told our room was ready, but if we wanted to drop our bags in there, we’d have to pay £25 for that privilege! No air conditioning in room or fridge or bottled water, wallpaper on ceiling was split. Breakfast was reasonably priced and plentiful but ‘hot’ foods were cold, and they seemed understaffed as there was always something missing. Can only give 5/10!

£98 for a room, and couldn’t even get a towel of any sort. Checked in late in the evening, warm friendly check in, called reception in the morning who advised they’d be up right away with some towels, 45 minutes later decided to scrap the shower, due to needed to leave for work. me and my partner paid extra for private mud bath and spa the staff at the spa were excellent taking us to a private area and making us feel very welcomed around the area. The reception staff were also very helpful and the restaurant was a reasonable price amazing and fast service and the food was amazing would definitely recommend and be staying again

Worst hotel I have stayed in first room was nice and big but no heating then moved to a room that had the worlds tiniest tv need binoculars to watch from the bed. The bed mattress was like a camping mattress, the floor made so much noise when walking on it felt like it has tinfoil under it. I could hear the bowl movements of the room above which is gross. And to top it off house keeping let themselves in at 7.30am checkout wasn’t until 11am. I would have told them at checkout but just took the key off me no questions or care of how my stay was

Very beautiful grounds, easy and lots of parking. Public areas very nice, rooms tired!! Definitely need refurbishing. Food nice and lots of choice of drink. Breakfast nice enough. The staff are incredibly lovely, helpful and always smiling, they are a massive asset to this hotel!!

A bit tired, spa only available to residents at additional cost though pool is free. Breakfast - for me - is akin to motorway services with few healthy options. 'Orange juice' was very weak orange squash. Dinner menu was ok and not outrageously priced. Overall disappointed - felt like a decent hotel that was suffering and therefore penny-pinching now.

Fabulous stay - as it was Christmas Eve - menu was limited with only one starter and mainly chicken & pizza for a main. Staff very helpful & accommodating. Would definitely stay there again at another time of the year.

Room and staff was wonderful,the food wasn't,for £45 I expected more than a skimpy prawn cocktail,a small roast dinner with roast potatoes been done in the fryer and still with no colour and the cheesecake had been left out too long as it had started to whilt and far too sweet
