It is a nice hotel overall, very reasonable price, and nice breakfast, friendly staffs and etc. It is located a little off from the city center, not impossible to walk to but hard in hot weather. Swimming pool is a nice addition in beautiful surroundings, but it is more suitable for young kids.

Wonderful hotel in great location . Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast choices. Also the real attraction is the swimming pool. However, if anyone at the hotel reads this, you really need to replace those tiny sun lounger cushions with proper full length ones. They are totally not fit for purpose ! Other than that , we had a great stay

The hotel was lovely. Great location. Good parking available. The buffet breakfast was very good. We upgraded to a larger room with a whirlpool tub which had separate sitting and bedroom areas. But, there were a lot of disappointments. There was no place to open a suitcase so you had to use the couch and coffee table which made the sitting area unusable (we had two suitcases). The balcony door had no handle on the outside, so to sit on the balcony you had to leave the door open. The safe wasn't working. There were robes and every one had the tabs for the belt missing or torn. The whirlpool tub doubled as the shower but the floor was so uneven and slippery with no mat available that the day to day showers were dangerous. Also, it took so long for the tub to fill and for the water to get hot, that we only had time to use it as a jacuzzi once. The toilet seat was loose (see pics). We asked for it to be fixed, but when we came back to the room at the end of the day it wasn't fixed. We let a second person know. She said that it hadn't even been documented and that it could not be fixed because it was the weekend. On our last night they offered to change our room, but after 2 days it was a bigger hassle to change. The hotel did have a swimming pool. But they did not let us use it the first day because it was going to rain that night (huh?), and the second day the pool was dirty and I didn't even want to get in it.

Hotel is away from the busy tourist/business district but within walking distance. Room was comfortable and breakfast provided had a variety and was very tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful. No elevator so fortunately our room was only on the 2nd floor.

The property is at the edge of Kalabaka towards Meteora. It is less crowded and easy to park in front of the hotel. It is only a short walk to the commercial area where we find many restaraunt and shops. Hotel staff gave us very refreshing appple juice upon arrival and a great intro of the area. There is a slight road noise as buses to Meteora speed by the hotel.

I like the VIP access with the balcony viewing at the roof of the restaurant! What a joke! Decoration was worst than a motel 8! Bed uncomfortable to say the least. Tub was painted with a faux concrete paint that was peeling and a shower head that was hard to operate! No elevator. The pool was disgusting (and it was just clean according to one of the personnel). Breakfast was joke! We couldn't get some coffee and the milk and juices were stored few inches above floor! We needed to pay the local taxes and it was requested to pay in cash, although a POS machine was right Infront of them! Unbelivable experience that I will suggest to anyone!

The hotel is very dated and getting run down. The cleanliness is not great in the room. We had issues with many spiders in our room. Small mini bar fridge with no freezer. Nice terrace with view of rocks lit up is pretty. Close walking distance to restaurants that also have a view. We left early in the mornings and they offered a very nice boxed breakfast but this needs to be booked 24hrs in advance.

I had a great room with a big balcony and spectacular view (room 210). Sizeable room with artsy ambiance. A little tired but I liked it. The shower over the hot tub was awkward. The hot tub leaked. Linen etc was clean but towels were a little musty. Staff were excellent. I would stay again.

We absolutely loved the location — as you drive into Kalambaka, the hotel is conveniently located on the left with stunning views. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the entire hotel was spotless. We only wish we had stayed a few more nights!

This place was not what we expected for a place with this high of a rating. Towels were dingy, the shower was very weird. Room was large but very dated. The breakfast was good and the stuff was very nice.

Every room is themed after an American iconic movie. We stayed in the room called A streetcar Named Desire. The room itself was a little small and the water temperature varied in the shower. The mattress was not quite as firm as I like it, but it was still comfortable. On the plus side, the entire property is charming. Lots of places to sit down, relax, enjoy a cocktail or watch your kids play on their playstructure. The included breakfast was the best “included with room” display I had ever encountered, both in variates and quality. Only one regret, they do not have espressos. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Price was right, but I would not pay more than what I did for the room we got.

Small hotel with lots of character where each room takes a landmark of cinema or theatre as its theme. Breakfast is excellent, with Greek and international options (including hot food). Georgia at Reception is a professional historian with a fountain of knowledge about the region and Greek history in general. Our only criticism was that the wifi doesn’t reach Room 106 reliably when the door is closed.

The hotel was a five minute walk from the bus which I took from Athens and back to Athens. The hotel is definitely quirky with each room named after some movie or opera character. I was in the Madame Butterfly room. My room had a patio which you can walk out on and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or try to dry your clothes that you did in the sink the day before. The hotel is near the center of town so there were a multitude of choices for dining. The water was hot in the shower and the breakfast had an artisanal style to it. It seemed like everything was homemade, including the pastries. (I don’t know if that is true.) All of the food was tasty. It was a nice hotel and I enjoyed myself.

This hotel gets almost everything exactly right. Clean and large room, excellent bed, effective airconditioning, great breakfast, great views from the hotel grounds and rooms - the Meteora rocks on one side, the town (and amazing sunrise) on the other. The film themed rooms are a nice touch. If I had a concern, it would be that a few of the fixtures are a bit old, but not any of the ones that matter (e.g. we had water from the shower getting through a seal - not something that worries me, as you can just put one of the many towels they provide on the floor). This hotel has excellent value for money and the 24 hour front desk is more helpful than most 5* hotels. They really know how to do customer service here - probably an important reason for their high scores on this site.

Unfortunately both receptionists let down the experience. Both seemed to busy, overwhelmed understaffed. The first night we arrived having waited for several minutes for the receptions to check us in I decided probably better to have a drink and relax first instead. We were not allowed he decided check in first and offered us and another couple drinks of orange as we waited. We had travelled four hours for meteora so I was looking to relax with a glass of wine. We were shown to our room which was fine but I noticed there were two milk vials. Not enough for a U.K. tourist who likes her tea. Not to worry we went down to the bar to get a Drink after unpacking and asked for some more milk. He gave me two more capsules 🙈 so I asked for more and he begrudgingly increased to four. We decided when we went out to buy some milk and on our return past reception I passed him back the four capsules and showed him the milk we had purchased. He took them 🙈 breakfast was ok, the bed was clean although the room very smalll. The bathroom was tired having been painted on the actual bath which made it look old and the sink and the toilet had old stains. They sell this property as “themed” it’s not in my opinion. Putting a few photos or naming a room doesn’t really give it a theme. My experience of my second receptionist is even worse . Unfortunately both receptionists let down the experience. Both seemed to busy, overwhelmed understaffed. The first night we arrived having waited for several minutes for the receptions to check us in I decided probably better to have a drink and relax first instead. We were not allowed he decided check in first and offered us and another couple drinks of orange as we waited. We had travelled four hours for meteora so I was looking to relax with a glass of wine. We were shown to our room which was fine but I noticed there were two milk vials. Not enough for a U.K. tourist who likes her tea. Not to worry we went down to the bar to get a Drink after unpacking and asked for some more milk. He gave me two more capsules 🙈 so I asked for more and he begrudgingly increased to four. We decided when we went out to buy some milk and on our return past reception I passed him back the four capsules and showed him the milk we had purchased. He took them 🙈 breakfast was ok, the bed was clean although the room very smalll. The bathroom was tired having been painted on the actual bath which made it look old and the sink and the toilet had old stains. They sell this property as “themed” it’s not in my opinion. Putting a few photos or naming a room doesn’t really give it a theme. My experience of my second receptionist is even worse . That is in my second review as we changed rooms to treat myself as it was my birthday

The staff was extremely welcoming upon arrival and the hospitality didn't stop throughout our two day stay. They were very helpful in sharing information about the area and places we could drive and walk to. The room amenities, breakfast choices, dinner prices and pleasant smiles were top notch. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in Meteora.

We rented a car from Athens and drove to Kalabaka to see the monasteries of Meteora. This hotel was perfect for our one night stay- the staff was great, the room was clean, quiet, & comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The drive to the monasteries was shortt, and we were so glad we took the trip there! So amazing!

The hotel has a charming theatre theme. The staff are very friendly. The location is outside of the town, where the road to the monasteries passes by. So it is five minutes walk from the town centre, yet without the traffic when you want to drive up to the rocks. Highly recommended!

The hotel was a five minute walk from the bus which I took from Athens and back to Athens. The hotel is definitely quirky with each room named after some movie or opera character. I was in the Madame Butterfly room. My room had a patio which you can walk out on and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or try to dry your clothes that you did in the sink the day before. The hotel is near the center of town so there were a multitude of choices for dining. The water was hot in the shower and the breakfast had an artisanal style to it. It seemed like everything was homemade, including the pastries. (I don’t know if that is true.) All of the food was tasty. It was a nice hotel and I enjoyed myself.

The property is at the edge of Kalabaka towards Meteora. It is less crowded and easy to park in front of the hotel. It is only a short walk to the commercial area where we find many restaraunt and shops. Hotel staff gave us very refreshing appple juice upon arrival and a great intro of the area. There is a slight road noise as buses to Meteora speed by the hotel.

We just stayed here for the night to go to all the monasteries the next day. This place had a great included breakfast buffet, the room was lovely, the shower/ bath was lovely and the staff were very nice.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It’s right between Kalambaka and Kastraki, which is very convenient for getting anywhere on foot, and even for tour pickups. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, with a good bed and great AC. It was also very quiet and peaceful.
