Hotel For kerb appeal it needs some care and attention. The Flower baskets on the railings are in bad condition and not a good first impression when entering the Car Park. Entering the reception it gets better with a bright entrance and stairs going up to the superior room. Our superior was spacious, the decor was slightly dated and the shower didn't have a shelf for shampoo etc, this had to be left on the shower floor. It was disappointing to have no complementary water and in the evening it became apparent there was a lack of sound proofing as noise came through the walls / floors. The bed was comfortable, taking a shower could pose problems for the larger person as the Towels are incredibly small for drying. The room was very clean as was the hotel and toilets. Food For our evening meal, we both had starters, my wife had Crab Croquettes and garnish, the verdict was not much crab flavour. I had the Spicey Prawns, King prawns cooked with garlic fresh chillis & cherry tomatos, these were some of the best prawns I've eaten with plenty of flavour, I did ask them to remove the heads which they did. For the mains, we both chose the Spaghetti Arrabiata which was in a traditional tomato, garlic basil & chilli sauce and added chicken for £2.50 per portion. The portion size was generous, however, the taste was very tomatoey not like other Arrabiata sauces we've tasted, the spaghetti was close to being al dente and the chicken wasn't tender and grisly! Comfy spacious room, some cobwebs on windows and in the bathroom. Mold coming through on corner of bathroom, hosts were brilliant, food was amazing but a little overpriced.

Great place to stay with very helpful staff!

Breakfast was excellent cooked to order and a varied menu.

Very quaint and quiet hotel in the Oxfordshire countryside; great room, excellent restaurant with an abundant breakfast included.
