Dirty smelly hotel..! Stay clear,.!

We stayed for 4 nights. Price was very reasonable. Excellent location. Nice beer garden. Good breakfast. Staff helpful. Room had been refurbished and was roomy and clean. Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday. Had an evening meal on the Wednesday but it was dissapointing.

Quaint hotel. Room very large and adequate. No air con but rooms reasonably cool even though 30⁰ + outside. For the money it was ok but miffed with the hotels.com insurance add on. Tried to cancel in the 14 day cooling off period but pushed from online saying contact cust servs and then cust servs saying do it on line. No resolution made. Ok its only £4 but it still £4 that I should have had refunded. Wont use this site again.

The room we had was a bit tired, and in need of a bit of tlc. We were not advised that we had to order breakfast on the evening , prior to the morning as they would not open the dining room. we arrived back on Sunday evening at 8.30 to find the whole pub closed, we were not advised of the facility's closing hours. We were not advised prior to our stay that there would be a clairvoyancy/ Ghost hunt, evening when the group of people who were doing the Ghost hunt would be running around the hotel screeching and laughing until 2.00am. They then at breakfast, proceeded to moan in the morning that they were tired, well so were we! In the room there was the normal do not disturb/ please make up our room. When we asked for our room to be made up it did not happen, so asked the bar staff for more tea and milk(only). to return to a pile of towels, coffee, milk,sugar, but no tea, on the floor outside our room, novel.
