Fantastic couple of nights away at this great hotel. Amenities were excellent, everything was well thought-out and designed to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. But the staff were really what made the weekend a truly fantastic experience. Friendly, helpful, and clearly focussed on ensuring that everything was just right. Cannot fault anything from the weekend and we'll definitely return.

Rooms very nice and spacious. Breakfast was poor as buffet ran out and long queues for coffee. Swimming pool and changing rooms looking tired, not very clean and no towels. Not many staff around. Average but could be great.

The golf and spa facilities excellent. Don't go here if you want a quiet break with all the groups of golfers. Extremely noisy in the bar on both evenings we stayed. The breakfast was nice, but too many large groups of golfers creating a chaotic atmosphere.

This has to rank as one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at (including holidays abroad). The room was incredible, it was one of the luxury suites. Every little thing had been thought of to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Staff were very helpful and polite. They really added to the experience. As for the leisure facilities the pool has to be the best I’ve seen for a hotel spa. Add to that a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna what more could you want. We’ll be looking for any excuse at all to return.

Nice clean hotel. You can walk from your room to the Spa without having to negotiate outdoors. However I was disappointed that there were no bathrobes or slippers in the room, and were only available in the Spa to guests who had booked treatments. If you are a vegetarian or vegan you will struggle to find suitable food at the bar, unless you like pizza!

Very pleasant stay, hotel was clean and tidy, lovely breakfast too. Only thing was the hot tub had too much chlorine in that it was stinging mine and my partners eyes just sitting in it so we couldnt stay in it long.

For a £100 per night we were given a disabled bathroom when we neither asked nor needed it which was also extremely grotty. The shower chair was covered in grime & both the bathroom & room proper were both in desperate need of redecorating. The foyer lovely, the bar area okay but the room, very sub-standard & definitely NOT worth the price we paid. Would I stay there again, NO. My advice, find somewhere else…

Perfect stay, bedroom really big, bed so comfortable and all presented beautiful and spotlessly clean. Lovely Espa products in bathroom. White fluffy towels. And silent. All staff were friendly and professional. Used the spa and had a massage. Great massage and fabulous facilities. My only reason for a 4 star was the food. We ate in the bar, after waiting 40 mins we asked about our order and the kitchen had forgotten to make it but when it did arrive it was very nice. Buffet breakfast a bit disappointing, although hot the sausages and bacon were undercooked, sausages looked anemic, mushrooms were slimy. Hash browns were nice and the honey presentation was lovely. The hostess at the front was attentive and friendly

Friendly staff and lovely entrance to the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. However the breakfast bowls and glasses had marks on them (stubborn porridge oats not removed when cleaned and this was on several bowls). Breakfast - you could have items cooked fresh which was lovely. The pool was very cold and steam/sauna very busy. Hard to get taxis into town - only two uber drivers in the area. Liked Amira’s Kitchen (local Indian restaurant) and Relish (Turkish restaurant). Ate locally as hotel lacked atmosphere. Hotel undergoing renovations which is needed.

Family stay in the family suite during the week. Our initial room had to be changed as the bathroom was full of visible black mould on the ceiling. The hotel could do with a lick of paint in the rooms and corridors. The restaurant is very good. We are there both nights and the menu was different each night. They catered well for our allergies. However their catering for allergies at breakfast needs improving. There were hardly any options for gluten allergies

The staff were friendly My room safe didn’t work My paper didn’t arrive the first morning The sausages were on the turn the first morning. When I pointed this out this out it was challenged! I am a head chef and know what I’m talking about. The bathroom in my room was lovely and kept clean. However the room itself although comfortable appears tired one worn with marked carpet and could certainly do with an uplift.

Booked a luxury room which was far from luxurious. The bed was two singles pushed together, balcony paintwork was rusty and flaking, shower leaked and flooded floor, body wash bottles obviously already used as half empty, staina on ceiling, stains on lampshades, lack of sanitary bags, bath robes the size to fit a medium child, only 1 tea bag, no long mirror for dressing, hot water took a long time to come through to shower. Brought some of this to attention of reception who said they woukd address it whilst we were out for the evening, it was not! Room was large but no more luxurious than a TravelLodge. Hotel room decor generally dated and poorly maintained. Not sure you'd actually want to put your hands on the reception desk. An a plys point, breakfast was hot and tasty.

The luxury rooms are beautiful and spacious. Few things that needed improvement are cleanliness of the pool area. The Wi-Fi was quite slow and the shower gel and shampoo are in a bottle that is attached to a wall in the shower so it can challenging to use those in the bath.

Hotel reception and welcome was very nice. The room was a nice size but it’s a little dated and the bed was far too soft and was actually 2 singles beds pushed together so I didn’t sleep well. Great golf course on-site though. I played both courses and thoroughly enjoyed them.

We booked in because we were attending a friends birthday celebrations nearby. we were lucky enough to see a lovely firework display on the Saturday night after a wedding. The only cons were that we had to walk an absolute 'mile' to our room, (a bit much when you're an unfit 70 ) and the awful wifi. At times we couldn't even get 4G but I suppose there is not much that the hotel can do about that,

Lovely first impressions, however let’s it’s self down on staff… half are great and care, other half can’t be bothered.. look very scruffy. We had no hot water at 6 o’clock nor first thing in the morning! No apology made. The restaurant served lovely food, but was so noisy you couldn’t hear the conversation around a table of 4!

In the area for a wedding. Decided to stay an extra night and utilise the Spa facilities & Grill restaurant. We both enjoyed both. All the staff were friendly & helpful. Bed was comfy. Would go again

Overall, a very pleasant stay. Lovely, large room with an amazing view. Great ( and much appreciated in this heatwave) air con. Lovely and clean. One small criticism was that I had to remake the bed every day as they'd tuck in one side of the bottom sheet but not leave enough sheet on the other side to tuck in, resulting in it moving about and wrinkling up. Other than that, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast on day one was a bit disappointing quality-wise but by day two and on subsequent days, it was much improved with plenty of choice. The hotel is a little out of the way so you need a car but the trade off is that you are surrounded by the most glorious countryside and views. All in all, a lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend and will return.

We are at a local pub but getting a taxi was a real pain. We were given a list of taxi services by the reception staff and asked to organise ourselves. The hotel should have a contract with a reliable firm as this was not a great start to our stay. Otherwise the hotel was very nice and a great setting. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was fine apart from lazy parents allowing kids to run around. We decided to eat in the Hunnington restaurant at the hotel on the second evening and that was an excellent decision. The food was fabulous and the service was equally as good. Madeline was a superstar. The facilities are really good and a great place for a relaxing stay, notwithstanding selfish parents and lack of taxis.

From the moment we booked into reception to leaving everything was perfect. Beautiful location lovely room overlooking the amazing golf course. Swimming pool is lovely. Food good and the staff are extremely attentive.

Everything about this property was picture perfect from the staff to the venue to the scenic area. However my one issue was getting there and back without a car. Transport could be improved but excluding that the stay was absolutely incredible.

We chose this hotel because they don’t allow pets, and I am highly allergic. It is clean, beautiful and spacious. The are walking paths and a lovely golf course, an excellent breakfast buffet, and an on-site indoor pool with sauna, all of which we enjoyed.

My second time staying here for a work trip. Easy check in, rooms are large with great views over the golf course. Food is great, the buffet breakfast a highlight. The staff are superb. Some of the room decor was looking marked and a bit tired, but still fine.Will stay again.

The spa facilities are excellent. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic We we disappointed with the evening meal in the bar. The food was expensive and not worth the money. My meal had bits missing and I had to request the missing items
