We stayed for a week and had a great time. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean & maintained daily by the cleaners. There are good choices for breakfast and the swimming pool is pleasant and a decent size. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and surrounded by incredible views of the mountains, whilst also only being a 10 minute walk from the beach & 15 from the square with great restaurants. The hotel could use some renovation as some aspects look quite dated, but it’s nothing major. Some staff don’t speak much English which at first can make communication difficult, so I would advise learning some basic Italian in advance to make it a bit easier for yourself. Overall, highly recommended for a reasonable price point. Would definitely return!

Godt gammeldags hotel, god service og virkelig flinke ansatte. Morgenmaden var ok men alt for mange slags søde kager, og det samme udbud hele ugen, en variation i ost og pålæg ville være dejligt. God swimmingpool men for få og alt for hårde liggestole, hynder til stolene ville være dejligt.

Inizio con l’unico punto di miglioramento della struttura, avrebbe bisogno di un rinnovo o restyling. Per il resto niente da dire tutto ECCELLENTE! La comodità del parcheggio all’interno GRATUITO. Piscina grande e pulita, con tante sdraio disponibili. La colazione ottima varia dal dolce al salato: prosciutto, formaggio, uova strapazzate, wurstel, varie torte, biscotti e dolciumi. Buonissimi i piccoli cannoli! La gentilezza dello staff, che dire, sempre sorridente e disponibile a risolverti qualsiasi problema!

Var fint hotellrom. Bra bad og bra standar på rom.Manglet kjøleskap noe man måtte betale 5 euro per dag for. Kunne hatt et bord ute på balkongen. Litt lite såpe påfyll hver dag. Aircondition stoppet å gå og man måtte skru det på flere ganger ila natten. Frokost var helt greit. Ellers kort vei til strand og sentrum. Bussen går rett ved. 2 min til buss. 15 min til by/strand. Alt i alt var det bra for en sånn type ferie😌

The air conditioning in the room was inadequate. I called and requested that they fix it but it still was not cooling. I suspect they need to either change or clean the filters, or do some other maintenance on their ac unit

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms that do not overlook the pool are modern and bright. Very clean. Great shower, comfy bed. Wifi a bit patchy. Breakfast and restaurant were fine. It is a good location for visiting Palermo on the bus. Great to have a pool, and also car parking.

The room need too be modernaste, it had a bad smell of mold and just old air. The breakfast was okay, nothing special. The atrium yard could have been so much cozier, now it was just a ball room with plastic chais and tables. Walking distance to Mondello beach and town.

La struttura avrebbe bisogno di qualche dettaglio che la caratterizzi e di qualche rinnovo nell'arredamento un po' datato ( sia delle aree comuni che delle camere) ma compensa tranquillamente con la gentilezza del personale e con la pulizia eccellente; quindi ottima esperienza per soggiornare a Mondello

Großartige Unterkunft! Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Klimanlage im Zimmer funktioniert einwandfrei und das Personal ist mehr als zuvorkommend. Alles ist etwas Vintage und man ist generell falsch in Mondello, wenn man den puren Luxus sucht, da die ganze Stadt (liebevoll ausgedrückt) vintage ist. Das Wasser des Pools war ein Traum und das Frühstück war ein klassisch Italienisches (mehr süß als salzig). Der Cappuccino am Morgen war sehr lecker und hat meinen Aufenthalt abgerundet. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet: unter 10 Gehminuten vom Strand und damit von der Promenade und knapp 15 Minuten von allen Restaurants entfernt. Alles in allem, würde ich dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall erneut buchen.

La receptionist più giovane, di cui non conosco il nome appare un po' rigida e il linguaggio utilizzato e le discussioni con i colleghi sono risultate a tratti imbarazzanti a tratti imbarazzanti. Colazione discreta con buona offerta. I pressi del bar francamente risultano sinceramente esagerati.

Location is great if you want to be close to Mondello Beach. Staff are lovely, warm and helpful. Pool is clean and well sized. But everything else about this property is quite dingy and limited. The food, especially the breakfast, was poor. The beds were dreadful. And the rooms and hallways are gloomy. This hotel is in dire need of a renovation and some investment in services.

The hotel is a diamond in the rough. Sicily is not geared for tourists but Hotel Conchiglia D'oro is fantastic. James, Rosy, Roberto, Stefania and Antonio could not have been more helpful and accommodating. It is an easy 15 minute walk to Mondello beach which is easily one of the best beaches in Europe. Our room with the balcony is lovely and a great bathroom / shower for Med Europe. Breakfast is solid too. Great place to stay near a great beach.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The rooms that do not overlook the pool are modern and bright. Very clean. Great shower, comfy bed. Wifi a bit patchy. Breakfast and restaurant were fine. It is a good location for visiting Palermo on the bus. Great to have a pool, and also car parking.

El hotel no está mal, pero claramente es un lugar antiguo que requiere una renovación. Los pasillos son oscuros, con luces automáticas que no siempre encienden. La habitación, sin tener defecto alguno, se ve que es antigua, en especial el baño. Pareciera que uno retrocediera a los años 70. Tiene una pequeña pantalla que hace de tv, que no estoy seguro si es TV en realidad, sino una pantalla de ordenador. Eso puede mejorarse fácilmente. Creo que el hotel ganaría muchísimo con una renovación, con pacillos más luminosos, habitaciones con aires modernos, incluyendo los tecnológicos. El personal de día maneja bien otros idiomas, más el de noche no, por lo que si uno se levanta muy temprano, o llega muy tarde, tendrá problemas de comunicación. Esto también debe mejorar. No me gustó que me pidieran quedarse con mi pasaporte al llegar para anotar mi información e ir buscarlo más tarde. El desayuno comienza relativamente tarde, por lo que en mi caso que bajé a las 6 de la mañana, no estaba disponible.

We stayed for a week and had a great time. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean & maintained daily by the cleaners. There are good choices for breakfast and the swimming pool is pleasant and a decent size. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and surrounded by incredible views of the mountains, whilst also only being a 10 minute walk from the beach & 15 from the square with great restaurants. The hotel could use some renovation as some aspects look quite dated, but it’s nothing major. Some staff don’t speak much English which at first can make communication difficult, so I would advise learning some basic Italian in advance to make it a bit easier for yourself. Overall, highly recommended for a reasonable price point. Would definitely return!

Inizio con l’unico punto di miglioramento della struttura, avrebbe bisogno di un rinnovo o restyling. Per il resto niente da dire tutto ECCELLENTE! La comodità del parcheggio all’interno GRATUITO. Piscina grande e pulita, con tante sdraio disponibili. La colazione ottima varia dal dolce al salato: prosciutto, formaggio, uova strapazzate, wurstel, varie torte, biscotti e dolciumi. Convenient as near airport but was not satisfied with staff check in service. I had called 2 days prior to confirm it would be ok to pick me up at airport with the shuttle service offered was told it was out of normal hours but to call and would be fine, we called when we landed and was told no this isn’t possible. Forcing us to take a cab and spending double the expected price. Staff wasn’t very friendly we speak well Italian have no issues anywhere else weve been and she kept reverting to English only I found it quite rude

The hotel is a diamond in the rough. Sicily is not geared for tourists but Hotel Conchiglia D'oro is fantastic. James, Rosy, Roberto, Stefania and Antonio could not have been more helpful and accommodating. It is an easy 15 minute walk to Mondello beach which is easily one of the best beaches in Europe. Our room with the balcony is lovely and a great bathroom / shower for Med Europe. Breakfast is solid too. Great place to stay near a great beach.

Großartige Unterkunft! Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, die Klimanlage im Zimmer funktioniert einwandfrei und das Personal ist mehr als zuvorkommend. Alles ist etwas Vintage und man ist generell falsch in Mondello, wenn man den puren Luxus sucht, da die ganze Stadt (liebevoll ausgedrückt) vintage ist. Das Wasser des Pools war ein Traum und das Frühstück war ein klassisch Italienisches (mehr süß als salzig). Der Cappuccino am Morgen war sehr lecker und hat meinen Aufenthalt abgerundet. Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet: unter 10 Gehminuten vom Strand und damit von der Promenade und knapp 15 Minuten von allen Restaurants entfernt. Alles in allem, würde ich dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall erneut buchen.

Härligt hotell för barnfamiljer med en stor pool som omgärdas av en fantastiskt trevlig trädgård samt med utsikt mot bergen. 5-8 minuter att gå ner till Mondello stranden så läget är helt ok också, lugnt villaområden. Mycket prisvärt hotell!

Var fint hotellrom. Bra bad og bra standar på rom.Manglet kjøleskap noe man måtte betale 5 euro per dag for. Kunne hatt et bord ute på balkongen. Litt lite såpe påfyll hver dag. Aircondition stoppet å gå og man måtte skru det på flere ganger ila natten. Frokost var helt greit. Ellers kort vei til strand og sentrum. Bussen går rett ved. 2 min til buss. 15 min til by/strand. Alt i alt var det bra for en sånn type ferie😌

Excellent hotel in a quiet location, convenient swimming pool and rooms with air conditioning. Staff always friendly, relaxing breakfast and a good restaurant too. The beach is at a pleasant walking distance and there are also many excellent local restaurants at a walking distance too. Definitely recommended.

Godt gammeldags hotel, god service og virkelig flinke ansatte. Morgenmaden var ok men alt for mange slags søde kager, og det samme udbud hele ugen, en variation i ost og pålæg ville være dejligt. God swimmingpool men for få og alt for hårde liggestole, hynder til stolene ville være dejligt.

No me gustó que me pidieran quedarse con mi pasaporte al llegar para anotar mi información e ir buscarlo más tarde. El desayuno comienza relativamente tarde, por lo que en mi caso que bajé a las 6 de la mañana, no estaba disponible.

We are very satisfied with the hotel! Nice room, good and sweet breakfast, a lovely poolside and near the Mondello Beach (10 minutes walking). The staff was service minded and friendly.

Spent 3 days there and I wish I had more time. Basic but lovely hotel and staff were great. Pool was gorgeous and it was nice and tranquil. Rooms cleaned everyday. Maybe more wall sockets by bedside locker would be good but otherwise I can’t fault it Thank you to all the staff
