The lady at the desk was so helpful and kind. She spoke English perfectly. Hotel is the top floor of the parking garage. You can park your car for 15 Euros. The view is great. Short walk to old town and Christmas Markets. Breakfast was just okay. No eggs or sausage.

Good location only a 20 minute walk to the Heidelberg Castle. This hotel is centrally located with an easy and short walk to the main town square. Good breakfast. This hotel sits on the 7th floor of the parking garage. Parking can be a little tight for larger cars.

The room was small, but sufficient for what I wanted. I had a great view of the Schloss from my room window (room 19). The lady at check-in was very nice. I arrived earlier than check-in, so she gave me some sights to see in Heidelberg while I waited for my room. The hotel is on top of a parking garage, so parking was easy, and it is very well located for going to the Schloss or other sites.

The hotel is located at a prominent bus stop and requires an elevator ride to the 7th floor. We had the two-bedroom apartment with a HUGE terrace that was beneath the ruins of Heidelberg Castle. Located just a few blocks from the Altstadt pedestrian area, the hotel is a splendid spot for dining and shopping as well as sightseeing.

Really neat location on top of the parking lot with beautiful views from the terrace looking up to the old castle. Especially nice at night. Good breakfast. Our room however was on the top floor and it was uncomfortably hot despite the fan.

The location of this hotel is perfect. The parking garage fills up completely during the day with people visiting the castle so be prepared to wait for a spot if you arrive in the middle of the day. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helped with recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. Room was very clean and the terrace has a great view of the city and the castle. The breakfast was OK. Great to have a complimentary meal during our trip but I'm not sure why a lot of these reviews are raving about it.

The receptionist at our check in was wonderful! She provided us with a map of Heidelberg and noted attractions for us. She is a great spokesperson for this town. My cappuccino at breakfast was the best I’ve had yet in Germany, and breakfast staff were amazing too. Our room is enormous and like a studio apartment, highly recommend.

Booked the 2 bedroom apartment. Was more like 2 separate rooms connected by a hallway. Bathrooms were small. Veranda was actually a common area. Rooms were hot with only a small fan. Based on the photos, I thought I was getting something much nicer. On a good note, the location was tremendous, and the customer service was excellent!

The property is located on top of a parking garage. Bus stop right outside. We stayed in room 20. Large area for luggage but small bathroom and shower. It is not as updated as some other hotels but was always clean and the staff were very courteous and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. Comfy pillows and blankets. Best of our trip so far. The view alone from the rooftop is worth 10 stars for this place. Sitting on the rooftop eating gelato and macaroons to end the day was amazing. Also, being able to look out and open my window overlooking the cathedral side of town was amazing as well. If I ever make it back to Heidelberg, I can't imagine staying amywhere else. There were some stairs we had to carry baggage up, so be aware, but well worth it!

Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Room had no aircon and it was a hot day, but beds comfortable and room very nice. Breakfast nice but perhaps 2 staff needed to keep up with the busy customers. Walking stand l to the castle and town square, so pretty!! Would stay again.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days October 2024. Perfectly located Right in the middle of the old town. Great hotel with decent breakfast, Personnel was very friendly and useful. Parking at the garage was easy and affordable as they offer a great discount for hotel customers. Park in the garage first and then check-in... it will be easier :-)

Amazing hotel location! The bus stops in front of hotel. The funicular to the castle is the same elevator as hotel. In the heart of Heidelberg. Views are unbelievable from the room. Great breakfast included. Front desk staff were wonderful. Next day, they locked our luggage after check out to continue our sightseeing.

My room was cozy with an awesome view, and the staff were fantastic. Everybody was so nice and helpful! I had a car carrier that would not fit in the parking garage and they let me take it off and bring it up to their storage room until we left. If they didn’t let me do that I would’ve had a park 1.8 km away. We had a great time at the Christmas market, which is just below perfect location.

Et udmærket hotel med en fantastisk beliggenhed lige op ad slottet og med få minutters gang til den charmerende gamle midtby. Fantastisk udsigt mod det gamle slot både fra værelse og hotellets terrasse. Praktisk beliggenhed ovenpå et parkeringshus. En lidt mangelfuld morgenmad med et uerfarent personale, der dog gjorde hvad de kunne.

Our family had a great stay at the Hotel am Schloss. The 2 queen bedrooms opened onto a private balcony that had an incredible view over all of Heidelberg. It was perfect and we enjoyed wine and cheese on the patio one lovely evening. The room was clean and roomy which was what we were looking for. Although it was dated and needed some maintenance it didn't bother us. The location is perfect for walking everywhere and felt very safe and comfortable. The only disappointing part was the breakfast. We gave a time for breakfast of 9 am the day before and when we came down at 9 there were no tables available. We were told to come back in 15-30 mins and came back at 9:30 and still had to wait. The breakfast area is too small and cannot accommodate all the guests. I am sure this is hard for a hotel to plan but maybe some warning that sometimes there is a wait and then we probably would have taken an earlier time.
