You cannot stay more central in this town. Next to the old bridge, in one end of a Uper long pedestrian shopping street, five min walk to nearest parking house. You live in a historical setting that is very well kept. The room was of good size and the bed and bedding excellent. Full buffet breakfast available for €22 but we chose very generous continental for €9.90. There is a minibar and good wifi. Reception very helpful. They allow dogs everywhere, so I love them particularly for that.

Incredibly noisy outside at night due to the Pub outside the hotel. Very old. Strangely, a coffee machine in the foyer/entrance of the hotel that was COIN OPERATED !!!! No courtesy coffee or coffee machine in rooms. No temperature control so we were very uncomfortable with the temperature. Good location for sightseeing.

Two week driving trip in Southern Germany and this was the best hotel. Staff was beyond friendly. Great location to our dinner and the city in general. Comfy bed. Only on floor 1 but they have an elevator. Can drop off bags in front then go park.

You can’t beat the location! The hotel is across from the old bridge and in the heart of all the restaurants and shops. If you are driving in, make sure you park in the correct lot so that your parking is paid by the hotel. There is a breakfast option available through the hotel, but we always went out for breakfast as there are several good cafes and bakeries within a 5 minute walk.

The hotel is situated ideally in the historic district of Heidelberg, along the river Neckar, right at the entrance to the famous "Alte Brücke" that crosses it and provides an excellent view of the castle. Facing the river and the bridge, the view from my room was stunning. The room for one person was small but not cramped, very clean, with nice wooden furniture that included a comfortable bed with quality bedding. The hotel is in an historic building, but the renovated, tiled bathroom with corner shower did not show that. The only complaint I had was that the water in the shower would change temperature unexpectedly. I purchased the "business breakfast", consisting of coffee, orange juice, fresh rolls, lunch meat, cheese and jelly; I did not observe what the more expensive buffet style breakfast included. The hotel lobby and facilities are furnished in an older style that I found inviting; everything is kept very neat and clean. Despite this being an old building, there are elevators to get to the upper floors. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful - overall this was a pleasurable stay and I would certainly go back.

This is a great place to stay to feel part of the old town in Heidelberg. Great views across the river. The restaurants and bars close at 10.30pm in the old town, so it’s not noisy at night time. It was very hot weather when I stayed and the room didn’t have aircon but I kept the windows open and fan on and slept well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would be nice to have facilities to make hot drink in room. I’d definitely recommend this to friends and I’d stay again if I was in Heidelberg. Perfect location to explore. Easy to get the bus from outside the hotel to go back up to the train station etc

Location and view from room was great. Clean and comfortable. Ended up getting ADA room and toilet was way too high. Due to high occupancy no other room with view was available for same price. Did not want to upgrade to suite for one night. Staff did not explain property or amenities (e.g. Wi-Fi etc.). Breakfast buffet looked great ordered a la carte and it was plenty and very tasty.

The low final assessment is based on what was the most disappointing breakfast I've encountered in over 30 years of continental holidays. I chose the light option as I don't enjoy cooked breakfast (22 euros anyway!) but guests were presented with a small tray without any choice of bread, cooked meats and cheese. Even the jam was prescribed. My room was spacious enough but the main light switch was nowhere near the head of the bed. Also the lift does not reach fourth floor rooms so one flight of stairs has to be negotiated. Not ideal for an 80-year-old with a heavy suitcase. (Pre-booking research needed!) I have to say that the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location,by Heidelberg's Old Bridge, could not have been bettered.

Beautiful property and friendly staff. Right in the old town and our room overlooked the river and bridge. Great location (albeit 1.2km walk from the trams and approx 3km from the train station) so if you’re not into waking you’ll need to learn the bus system or hop in a cab.

Very nice hotel - supposedly over 600 years old but in awesome condition and very pretty. The room was incredibly spacious with a separate living room from the bedroom and a nice hallway with closet and drawers. The staff was great. The restaurant was very good for dinner! Ask if they have space in their parking lot as it is limited and only a short drive and walk from the hotel. Very convenient location.

Beautiful hotel. Great service. Room with great view of the old Brucke bridge. Best location for walking to all major areas of old town. Uber is about 9 euros from Heidelberg main train station. Very good buffet breakfast/reasonably priced.
