Hotel Ducale

The positives about this property were that its close to the airport. The front desk staff was unprofessional and lie to us. At our arrival at 3pm we were told to put in our key in the room and the heater would turn 30 minutes later which it didn't happen until 5 pm. The room was freezing cold and humid. There was a small window to see outside but it was high to the ceiling that you can't even reach. No breakfast, WIFI only in your floor, very noisy. you could hear different conversations from the rooms next to us. The next day the hotel turns off the heater by 12 pm without a warning for us to plan our showers around that. We ask and they say they will turn it on at 5pm. My son goes and ask again at 5:45 and my son says he sees the desk guy input something in the computer and when he goes to the room the heater turns on. Mind you that the heater fan was making a very loud noise all night and day but seing the quality of the entire hotel and their lack for service to their customers it was no surprise. I went to ask for something and the desk guy semmed to be in a personal conversation so I had to wait until he finished so I could bring one of my concerns. Last, were the beds that you could feel the coils that reinforce the bed. It was the worse hotel in my entire life and would never recommend it even if they pay me to stay there. Im not sure if I can post the video of the loud heater but I will try.

The room was very basic and didnt feel clean. The elevator barely worked. It was advertised that breakfast was included and it wasnt. Really didnt feel it was worth the money and Im sure we could have found a better place. Don't trust the other reviews and skip

Needs a stronger AC

The property is too old, the AC was not working, the same thing with the bathrooms light.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage im alles gut zu erreichen mit dem Auto oder öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Von aussen wirkt es sehr seriös und anständig , das Innenleben ist jedoch sehr veraltet. Teppichboden wie auf den Bildern in den Fluren war nicht vorhanden ,nur alte Kacheln. Der Flut selbst hatte keine Klimaanlage ,was es sehr heiß macht in den warmen Sommermonaten. Bunte Gardinen an den Fenstern im Flur. Das Zimmer selbst sehr klein, alte Möbel, alte Badausstattung, verdreckte Rohre, die Wände fangen an zu bröckeln ,der Blick in den Hinterhof aus dem Hotelzimmer erschreckend. Wir haben als Decke mit einem Bettlaken schlafen müssen, die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht korrekt einstellen weshalb es sehr kalt war in der Nacht beim Schlafen. Die Steckdosen funktionieren Mal und Mal nicht. Der Fahrstuhl erinnerte an einen Bahnhofsfahrtsuhl , voll geritzt in den Tür mit Erinnerungen von Gästen ,die Taste zum dritten Stockwerk fehlte. Für 60€ die Nacht habe ich schon in einem top ausgestatteten Hotel geschlafen , ich bin mir nicht sicher ob man dieses Gebäude Hotel bezeichnen kann. Ich hatte Angst dort zu übernachten und werde es nicht wieder tun.

You get what you pay for. The sink was leaking really badly, the electric cut out all night, the bed was so uncomfortable- but we paid around £40 for the room

Terrible hotel, bad service. Old facilities and smell of cigarate smoke all over. The elevator was not working Noisy environment. Small room and small shower. Everything was bad!. It doesn’t met my expectations. How this kind of hotel is in your lists at all? Its a scam! Our night was a nightmare

The room and hotel were quite basic and old. I was expecting at least the standard toiletries but there were just some samples. There were several staines in the furniture, curtains and bedspread. Inside the elevator there were some unsavoury graffiti.

We had to wait over 15 minutes to get to talk to the receptionist as he was rude talked to his friends Filled the lobby fridge and ignored my wife and I standing. The shower was so dirty and disgusting that neither my wife or I showered in the morning. The TV was useless and the room safe was broken and not working.

No fridge, ants in bathroom, no space in the room because of the closet. No room Service. - you have to change the towel by your own.

Albergo scadente e sporco, non offre il servizio di colazione non si cambiano asciugamani non si rifà la camera, dicono che si rifa alla fine del soggiorno. Hotel totalmente fatiscente... La foto che hò allegato parla da solo. Evitatelo.

The most disgusting hotel ever! Decadent old furniture, decadent interiors, it stinks but above all the sanitary conditions are unsafe.How is that possible they are allowed to stay open and where are the 3 stars coming from? I will call local authorities to check the sanitary status. Hair and dust everywhere.

My stay at Hotel Ducale was cut short cause we had to leave before the first night there. The room we had was in a disgusting state. We found a bed bug, blood and stains on the sheets, nasty stuff on walls, etc. We asked for another room and it was denied. We ask for a refund and it was also denied. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. We had to find another hotel at 11PM. So we paid Hotel Ducale for 2 nights while not being there. We had to pay a taxi to reach our new hotel, wich cost 95 dollars. The other hotel was 350 dollars. It was the worst day of my life. The agents I talked to from Expedia were not helpful at all either, I trusted Expedia but I was very sad to see how the company managed the awful situation we were in.

Hotel was very old, dirty and cold. I was there in 30 min and had to check out, even that i had paid for it. It’s nothing like the images. Stay away, its like the comments on hotels and google says that it is, sorry that I didn’t read them before booking.

Hotel Ducale is very dirty and definitely not worth the price I paid. There was a bad stench throughout the entire hotel. The doors didn’t lock and it looked very different from the advertisement. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel near the airport because we had a very early morning flight back to UK. Hotel was very basic, but adequate for purpose apart from one of our three rooms where window did not close and let smells from takeaway and street noise in. Staff were friendly enough.

Hotel room was small and a bit claustrophobic No coffee maker or kettle Staff were nice

This hotel is located well near to airport and good transport links into Venice (about 30 mins on Tram) and also centre of Mestre (roughly 10/15 mins on Tram) Very dated interior but was clean. Had room in front of hotel which was very noisy up to about midnight and then very early in morning as on main road and can hear traffic.

La chambre était tres petite, vieille et froide. Pas assez de gel douche pour se laver ni de shampoing. Prix cher par rapport à la qualité de la chambre.

because we didn’t like he change the price on us when we ask for extension. The price listed what I paid the day before on Expedia, he said pay him more, he then called his wife over and they adjusted the price on Expedia to more than what he was offering. We asked why he changed it he said because he the boss, after few words he spit at us and cuss at us. Such a traumatic experience and on top the property looks nothing like it’s pictures and very dirty

Good price,good location, friendly staff,very helpful. don't expect 5 star,it's a decent hotel no breakfast available but have a cafe next door serving a variety of foods and drink at a fair price.i must say that when we arrived late the male receptionist was so polite and helpful 10 out of 10 for him,super guy.we will return when we are next in Venice.

We needed taxis and they where very helpful and also when we checked in very helpful.

Verbinding naar Venetië was perfect. Meerdere mogelijkheden. Kamers waren prima en het personeel vriendelijk.

We were chargwd 10 euros to leave our luggage. Un acceptable.

I was made to pay an extra 10€ for early checkin. I wasn’t allowed to keep my bag in the bag while I take a walk around the city to await my check in time. It was terrible and I felt bad in the way and manner I was made to pay the money.

Totally terrible customer service, the owner is a shameless utterly greedy person who charges us €30 Euro Extra for coming few hours before check-in time. Room floor and toilet are dirty after constant requests no one bother to come and honour my request. Heating shut down from the reception at 8am in the morning left the shivers for the morning as outside temperature was 0 degree celcious. Reception guys are keep lying to us and very unprofessional. One word for this hotel just avoid avoid avoid, get something better for your hard earn cash.

Ein einfaches familiengeführtes Hotel im Vorort Favaro Veneto von Venedig nicht weit vom Flughafen Venedigs mit Direktverbindung zur Laguneninsel, denn mit der Straßenbahn war sie in 38 Minuten zu erreichen, mit dem Bus sogar in 27 Minuzen. Für mich ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, denn die Zimmer waren sauber und völlig ausreichend, wenn man sowieso tagsüber die ganze Zeit unterwegs war.

Excellent location and public transportation.

Room was fine but too far out from venice with no one to tell me how to get to the touristy places. Nothing was open so cash exchange was a problem. I ate at the same cafe twice because nothing else was open and funds were limited.

Fomos bem recebidos. Hotel simples muito bem localizado , para quem quer ir para Veneza. O Tram sai da porta do hotel. Tem mercados próximos. Tudo que favorece a permanência.

Localização do hotel é boa, recepcionistas educados e limpeza do quarto ok. As instalações quebradas do banheiro, portas emperradas, chaves tortas, ar condicionado insuficiente, frigobar não gela, elevador sujo e todo pichado, o cheiro da recepção é repugnante e não servem café da manhã como as fotos dão a entender. Valor caríssimo por uma hospedagem tão deficiente, não recomendo.

This is a basic no frills dated hotel managed by a skeleton staff. It is very conveniently located to visit Venice on the T1 tram stop right next to the hotel and bus 45 from at the same stop that connects to Marco Polo airport. There are plenty of cafes for breakfast and drinks with one attached to the hotel. The only restaurant- Da Piero - is excellent place to eat- just five minutes walk from hotel.
