Hotel Ciudad de David

We only stayed there one night. But indoor self parking garage was convenient. Room service was great. Beds were too small for both of us but there were two of them and they were comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. A very convenient short drive to the airport.

This was the perfect place for an overnight in David. Staff were warm and friendly, easy check-in, great buffet breakfast, on-site parking garage and a pool and gym. My one complaint is that the bicycle in the gym has only 1 pedal and the sauna was not turned on. But everything else was perfect. Take note that if you arrive by car, the streets arriving to the hotel are very congested.

The staff were professional and friendly and offered recommendations for restaurants that were great. The hotel was spotless. Rooms were spacious. The pool area was nice. We did a massage that was very good. Very easy to get a cab to go anywhere. If you’re in David this is the hotel for you.

Parking space is really tight and the parking layout is not friendly. Queen bed is Princess style, so it’s smaller than what you would expect. Ask if there are events scheduled during your stay ‘cause they hosts weddings and parties in their rooftop and pool area, giving birth to a noise sándwich able to keep you awake and forbid you from properly resting.

The staff, especially in the restaurant, were excellent. Hardworking, friendly and with a sense of fun. We were picked up from the airport by the hotel shuttle and check in was super fast. Our room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The coffee shop and restaurant had a good menu and reasonable prices. The gym was well equipped and there was a pool also.

Escogí este hotel por la piscina para mis hijos de 11 y 8 años, pero fue terrible aparentemente la falta de mantenimiento era notoria ya que tenia un hongo verde y negro en la parte superior de la misma y en la mitad de la misma, igualmente encontre que en el fondo de la piscina se encontraban demasiado cabello no se que tipo y entiendo que puede ser de cualquiera persona que la utilizo un dia ante en lo mejor caso pero para eso el personal de mantenimiento debe pasar en la mañana ante que los huéspedes quieran utilizarla que era mi caso. Por este motivo no pude disfrutar de la piscina con mi familia. Aparte que la mesa que se encontraban en el area de la piscina aparentemente tenían varios dias que no la limpiaban. Al hacer check out en recesión dije que no estaba conforme en la codicion que se encontraban el hotel que habia bajado la calidad ya que también la habitación que no toco estaba sucia. Espero que vuelvan ofrecer la calidad que tenían ante porque ya no van a ser mi primera opción en david chiriqui como ante.

Great hotel and breakfast so among the best, literally that I’ve ever had at a hotel, but I ended up with about 8 big itchy bug bites from something in the bed. Never saw what they were but definitely have flea or bed bug bites

The room was dirty when we arrived, the bed sheets had makeup stains and the headboard was worse, had a booger. Super disappointed!!!

The service was excellent. Rooms were spacious and clean. Had dining available so didn’t need to leave the hotel. Felt very safe.

Our first room was full of mold and it smelled terrible. When they upgraded us it got better but the property seems to have significant water damage on many places as even the hallways had dripping water from the ceiling. There was construction on the hallways as well which made the place looked unfinished and as if still in construction. I will not stay here again.

My stay at Hotel Ciudad De David was perfect. The service was excellent--all the staff were knowledgeable, helpful, professional, courteous, and friendly. To possess and use all of those qualities simultaneously is a great accomplishment, and everyone managed to do so. The meals in the restaurant were delicious and very-well served. The lobby, dining room, room, hallways, and elevators were spotless, and the ambiance of the whole hotel was serene and appealing. Hotel Ciudad de David is a wonderful place to stay.

Habitacion muy limpia y confortable. La unica observacion es que, al estar en el piso 6, se oía un ruido (posiblemente la bomba de agua de los depositos). Todo el personal muy amable y atento. El desayuno buffet muy bueno y completo.

The hotel was OK. The last night was HORRIBLE! I do NOT recommend this hotel. I never give reviews - but felt a need to give this hotel a review. It was that bad. They had a party in the pool lounge area. My room overlooked the pool. The website clearly STATES that it closes at 10:30 pm. At 11:15 pm there was a party still going on that was so loud my windows two floors up were shaking. I called the front desk and they assured me the party would close at midnight. AT 12:15 AM I started calling the front desk as I had an early flight and had not had any sleep. They did not / would not answer the call at the front until almost 1 AM. They said the party would go on until 2 AM or later and all they could do was offer me a room on a different floor to sleep. If they had told me this at 11:15 PM it would have been better. But to not answer the phone for almost 1 hour and to book a party in the area of the hotel that HALF of the rooms have direct connection to was horrible - and the website clearly states the closing time for the lounge, yet they had a private party. They did not offer to help me move all my bags from one room to the next. So at 2 AM I was finally in another room with a 5 AM wake up. BEWARE! This hotel did not care AT ALL that they did this to their guests. DO NOT STAY HERE - unless you want to stay up all night with loud music that actually makes your windows shake.

Everyone was helpful and friendly but the person I had the most contact with was “Alondra” at the front desk. She made our stay the best with all the help she provided. Again, each person was always courteous and helpful. Alexander was the epitome of a Great host. In the restaurant. Will definitely plan another stay!

El Hotel Ciudad de David es excelente en todo el sentido de la palabra. Un 10 de 10 lo tiene todo: en atención son lo máximo, habitaciones super cómodas, la comida deliciososa con un diverso buffet de desayuno y variado también. En cuanto a accesibilidad super cerca de todo, esta localizado en un punto estratégico. Full recomendado.

Found David very clean! This location was in thick of the business hub with a vibrant feel.

Rooms and restaurant are nice. Close to bus station.

Hôtel de qualité à David, idéal pour une étape vers Boquete. Les chambres sont modernes, bien équipées. Belle salle de bain (même s'il manquait une serviette : rapidement résolu à la réception de l'hôtel). Le restaurant de l'hôtel (le Stylo) est un bon rapport qualité/prix, et appréciable à David... le matin, le petit-déjeuner qui y est servi est excellent ! Je recommande cet hôtel.

Motel meet all expectations. First class in every way. Great desk service and airport transportation. Close to local shopping, local dining, transportation, airport. Clean and safe. Great front desk and bar area. I was in Panama for 10 days. Panama City, David, Boquete, Volcan, and other small towns. I tried all local food and loved the flavor and price. I hardly ever complain. But the restaurant at this hotel was a disappointment. My girlfriend and I ordered from the great menu, service was a little slow, but ok. The food was higher priced, which was ok if the food was good. But both of our meals were no at all satisfactory. We paid 4x the price for food and received -4x the quality we expected. Again, I usually do not complain, not spoiled, but was not happy with the food. We had completely different orders, but neither of us finished our food.

Very nice hotel with comfortable beds and friendly staff. The hotel restaurant, Stylo, is also quite good.

Everything was excellent with this hotel. The restaurant was amazing. We had dinner and breakfast there and were totally impressed!
