I’ve stayed here many times, friendly and helpful staff. This hotel feels a little outdated now and is in need of a lick of paint and TLC.

The hotel it's on a very nice historic building and it's very nice inside. Sorry I can't give it a good rate anyway. We knew Merida was going to be above 100 degrees on the week we were going so a must have for picking a hotel was a nice pool and that was why we chose this one. We were never told neither when we booked or when we checked in that the pool was not in use. We just found out the hard way after we went to our room, put our swim trunks and came downstairs to find an empty pool. When we asked at front desk they said it has been closed and emptied for over 2 weeks but it was filling up and should be ready for the next day. Well we stayed there 3 days and it was never in use. People in the front desk won't have much to say. Besides that, in our last day the Hotel had some major plumbing issue and they shut off the water for the whole property and they had to move us to another hotel a bit away from the area where we wanted to be. Surprised they don't have a plan B for this kind of issues. Other than all this, it a very nice and convenient place it everything works fine but it didn't work for us.

Staff was excellent and it had quite a bit of charm and was clean. However there was a street party going on so I didn’t get to sleep at a decent time.

What a lovely older hotel. Lots of character. Room was clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. No coffee in the room though. Nice restaurant on the main floor. Service was excellent. It was sweet seeing the friendly hotel cat. Sincerely Heather
