Casa Zafiro Hotel - Adults Only, Mérida

Casa Italia advertises as a “Luxury Guest House” rating 4.4/5. The walls in the room were either unfinished or damaged, the air conditioning was noisy and installed in a way that hits your face all night long, there was a noisy fan attached to the celling, the safety box did not work, the fridge was empty. Simple bathroom, no tube as one would expect form a Luxury place. No gym, no Spa. Basic TV and internet, no personalized services, or any special technology. There is no restaurant nor room service; a basic breakfast is served by the same person who also seems to have the role of receptionist. The parking lot was around the corner, not very clean; the neighborhood looks awful at night. As a guest you are given three keys, one for your room, and two for the facility front doors, because after nine PM there is no one available for anything, if arriving after nine PM you must open, and once inside lock the doors again. The good thing found was the Staff, one person in particular, Robert, who went above and beyond to try to make us feel comfortable, trying to fix all those things that were obviously out of his control. The only reason we did not leave is because we saw so much effort from the staff. There are probably different definitions of Luxury Guest Houses, in my opinion this is not one and its prices are not too much different from other well know hotels around Merida Centro

Camera molto grande e con buone finiture. Letto comodo e parcheggio privato nelle vicinanze. La piscina è un vero momento di relax. Un appunto sulla colazione che è un po' scarsa...

Loved this little Guest House! Josephine and Damien looked after ur every need. The breakfasts were amazing! The room was great. Had nice bed, little balcony, huge TV, modern. We had the garden view room which cost a little more but worth it. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended. Only one downside. I like to swim and the pool is tiny. Not for swimming. Would definately go back.

Jorge y Damián estuvieron atentos de nuestra estancia, buen servicio y amabilidad, habitación cómoda y buen desayuno. Tal cual como el nombre, realmente es una casa y son solo 6 habitaciones, se access solo por escaleras, si viajan con algún adulto mayor recomendaría pidieran planta baja. El estacionamiento tiene puntos a mejorar como limpieza e infraestructura, se encuentra a vuelta del hotel. Zona tranquila

Buena atención, solo es importante que mejoren la forma en que asignan y llevan control de los estacionamientos, debido a que el espacio es exacto para cada habitación

No está en el centro de la ciudad como dicen Y después de las 10 de la noche, uno tiene que abrir y cerrar a la entrada del lugar

Al alojamiento no dispone de recepción 24h ni ascensor aunque dispone de un aparcamiento gratuito pero sin vigilancia; el desayuno continental incluye tostada y un plato de fruta, no obstante, cualquier otro producto comporta el pago de un suplemento; la piscina parece idílica en las fotos pero durante nuestra estancia no estaba limpia y la presencia de insectos "ahogados" el día anterior no invitaba a su uso.

The property is well located near the center of Merida, just a couple blocks away. No restaurant, just a small kitchen that serves breakfast, no lunch nor dinners. Also there's no room service. The rooms are well equipped. It has a small pool where you can relax, closes at 21 hrs. Overall, it's a good hotel if you want something without any noise, however, it's just a room. Don't expect nothing fancy if that's your thing.

The air conditioner was musty and loud, however, the rest of the stay was pleasant. The breakfast included is continental, and decent, albeit small. The cost for the egg option is fine at 85 pesos. The keys provided for the front door were confusing (all same shape) but luckily we did not need them late at night when the hotel is apparently unattended (which seems a bit odd? what if guests have issues or an emergency?). For these reasons, I would probably not return, given the sheer volume of decent hotels for similar or lower costs currently available in central Merida.

Las areas comunes de la propiedad no estan limpias, la habitacion no tenia toallas, la taza del baño no servia, el control del aire acondicionado tampoco servia, y durante toda la estancia no hubo internet y no pudimos usar la tele

L’accueil a été très sympathique avec Sara, et la chambre est spacieuse. La ville est très chaude, pensez bien à anticiper la Clim dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner est bien, mais les fruits manquent de fraîcheur, ce qui aurait été appréciable avec la chaleur. Petit +, l’hôtel dispose d’un parking à côté.

Me gusto esta centrico cerca de la 47, solo faltaba mas limpieza en la habitación los espejos estaban llenos de polvo y habia telarañas en los cortineros. Por lo demas estaba excelente. El jardin bien cuidado y las piscinas también.

Muy agradable estancia, limpieza de 10, muy amables, lo único si sale temprano a Tour no hay restaurante y tienes que buscar donde desayunas algo a las 7:00 am porque quedaron de dejarnos el desayuno y no lo hicieron, tuvimos que pagar por el desayuno.

Excelente atención y rico el desayuno lo que no nos gustó que no hay privacidad en el baño, el cristal es transparente y da a la terraza.

LUXURY GUEST HOUSE ?????, Pésimo servicio, no tienen idea de lo que es el servicio al cliente, el gerente nunca dio la cara ( el contacto solo por email ???),ellos tienen la razón y el pasajero no !! el recepcionista no sabia nada y super mala actitud, super ruidoso, huéspedes haciendo ruido, moviendo muebles, vomitando a altas horas de la madrugada, la solución fue vete al otro hotel si quieres !!!, el barrio super inseguro . Evítense un gasto y decepción, hay cientos de opciones en Merida con muchísimo mejor calidad y servicio al huésped. yo como Agente de viajes nunca, nuca lo recomendare !!!

Short walk to La Casita Spanish school. Close to lots and f restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel.

Casa Italia is close enough to all the main sites to visit in Merida, while being far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood so you can rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved the private pool and courtyard for relaxation after a long day of siteseeing.

The staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. The hotel was nice and it had a “trust bar” where customer serve themselves and record their purchase in a book to settle at checkout. The room was clean and very spacious - but the shower was very weak and most days had no hot water. The area was convenient but the paving was very uneven and it was very dark at night. But it was safe and quiet.

Un peu loin du centre ville mais l hôtel est super bien

La habitación y el lugar es muy limpio y ordenado, pero su ubicación es en un lugar poco alumbrado y solo, el lugar de estacionamiento está solo y nadie atiende, tampoco hay quien te ayude a bajar tus maletas una vez que dejas el hotel, por último pedí habitación con dos camas y me dieron la habitación solo con un que porque no se especifico en peticiones especiales

Location was great, 3 blocks from Paseo Montejo and restaurants (especially Hennessy’s Irish Pub). The staff could not do enough to make our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommend and will stay there again.
