It was a nice hotel but over priced as you paid for the location. It was good to be able to use vouchers for drinks istead of having to eat the meals as choice was limited. Place was under staffed but everyone was helpful. Limited beach towels and bed around the pool. The beach in front of the hotel was small and you have to pay extra for the beds

Vi elsket vårt opphold på Places. Dersom du er opptatt av det visuelle er dette hotellet en fest for øyet. Attention to detail på alle plan. Fantastisk flotte rom, med kult design. Nydelig bassengområde med bar og spisemuligheter og dj’s. Flyteelemetene i bassenget var superkjekke både for barn og voksne. Flotte treningsmuligheter og aktivitetsrommet ved resepsjonen var populært hos oss. Frokosten var upåklagelig og vi elsket Flexi-halfboard-systemet. Dette gav oss akkurat den friheten vi trengte mtp. mat/drikke. Spesielt når man reiser med barn. Utvalget av mat var bra, og pluss for salat/suppedisker og brød som sto til fri disp. på ettermiddag/kveld. Og kaldt vann ved resepsjonsområdet. Hvis man skulle trekke fram noe forbedringspotensial måtte det være at det var litt uklart mtp betaling for spesialkaffe i baren. Ene dagen måtte jeg betale, andre ikke. Das Hotel ist total modern & gemütlich im Surfer/ Dschungel/ Wohnzimmer-Style eingerichtet. Mir hat das mit dem Schlüssel/Bezahl-Armband gut gefallen, und dass man sich aussuchen konnte, ob man das Guthaben von 25 € am Tag für Mittagessen, Abendessen oder Drinks an der Bar einlösen möchte. Der Poolbereich ist auch sehr schön gestaltet. Nachmittags legt fast täglich ein DJ auf. Es gibt einen eigenen Zugang zum Strand. Dann gibt es noch Räume wo man sich auch drinnen gut beschäftigen kann (Tischtennis, Billiard, Kicker, PSP, usw.) Unser Bett war 2x2 Meter groß und sehr bequem. Das junge Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann für 6,90 € am Tag auf dem Hotelparkplatz oder in der Tiefgarage parken. Wir hatten eine super Zeit und kommen gerne wieder!

This place far exceeded all expectations! Beautiful, clean, modern, comfortable, efficient... everything is thought through to the smallest detail to make the stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible. I wish to give it extra stars and recommend it to everyone. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and always available to answer any question and assist with any need. It's located right on a promenade with the direct path to the beach, 2 beautiful swimming pools, a poolbar, restaurant and every possible amenity one may need! Day and night entertainment is available but yet its always peaceful, pleasant, never too loud. My husband and I absolutely loved everything they had to offer - lounging at the pool or swimming in a sea first thing in a morning. Now the food is a Special treat here - freshly prepared abundant variety of choices for any taste, incl gluten free dietary needs. Updated menu every day and Always delicious. Flexible spending option for meal plan is available and is easy to use with an user-friendly app and a silicone bracelet that works as a roomkey and a payment scan - easy to wear all day even when swimming- never worry about loosing a key! Every tourist activity or a tour pick up spot is close by and walking distance - small grocery store 5 min away, bus terminal 15 min away Whatever one may need - they got it. Special kudos to the amazing staff crew! Our stay in Dalmacija made me fall in love with Croatia, its hospitality and lovely, kind Croatian People

Lovely hotel, modern with a Scandi vibe. Smells like a spa and has water with cucumber, lime or lemon dotted around to help yourself to. Staff are friendly, cocktails nice. Pools are clean and have floaties for people to use. Sunbeds very comfortable. Breakfast really good, lots to choose from. Fresh warm croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereal, omelettes made to order and cooked options. Also have a juicing station with an array of fresh vegetables and juices to choose from. Flexi half board works well. Given a wristband which also acts as room key. Loaded at the beginning of the week with 350 euros (25 euros per day for 7days for 2 people). Any time you have food or drink, your wristband is scanned to pay for it. As an example, large beer is about €5, cocktail €7.80 pizzas range from €9-€14, most main meals are around €15. Has own beach but you have to pay for the sunbeds on beach.

The hotel was really clean and the pool area was great. Really comfortable sunbeds. However, people did try and 'reserve' a sunbed super early in the morning, But the hotel policy did not allow that so there were measures in place to try and prevent this and allow everyone to get a sun bed. The hotel is perfectly positioned right next to the beach. The beaches are quite small, but the sea is amazing and the local islands are well worth a visit. The a la carte menu in the hotel was good but limited. I wasn't that impressed with the evening buffet menu so we only ate there once. But the flexi half board meant that we could then use the allowance for the a la carte lunch or drinks so it worked very well. And there are lots of lovely alternatives for food in the local area or in the town a short walk away. We loved the hotel, but we chose the smaller of the rooms which we did regret as the rooms although nicely decorated are very small and there is very limited storage and the bathroom is very small. But all in all we have a great time and would recommend.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel direkt am Strand das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr gutes Essen für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Die Zimmer sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die zwei Pools gigantisch (bei uns im Mai leider für mich zu kalt 19 Grad) aber es gibt auch 2 Whirlpool. Ansonsten alles super. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Everything was great! The pool area is big and spacey. The gaming lounge was cool. The restaurant was big, with both seats inside and outside. Worth the money - will definitely come back 😊

Kjempebehagelig atmosfære, flott rom(cherry on top) luktet godt og var rent. God mat, behagelig med basseng/bar og kort vei til stranden. Helt topp plassering. Alt kunne ordnes i app og var kjempeenkelt.

Lovely hotel, modern with a Scandi vibe. Smells like a spa and has water with cucumber, lime or lemon dotted around to help yourself to. Staff are friendly, cocktails nice. Pools are clean and have floaties for people to use. Sunbeds very comfortable. Breakfast really good, lots to choose from. Fresh warm croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereal, omelettes made to order and cooked options. Also have a juicing station with an array of fresh vegetables and juices to choose from. Flexi half board works well. Given a wristband which also acts as room key. Loaded at the beginning of the week with 350 euros (25 euros per day for 7days for 2 people). Any time you have food or drink, your wristband is scanned to pay for it. As an example, large beer is about €5, cocktail €7.80 pizzas range from €9-€14, most main meals are around €15. Has own beach but you have to pay for the sunbeds on beach.

The hotel was really clean and the pool area was great. Really comfortable sunbeds. However, people did try and 'reserve' a sunbed super early in the morning, But the hotel policy did not allow that so there were measures in place to try and prevent this and allow everyone to get a sun bed. The hotel is perfectly positioned right next to the beach. The beaches are quite small, but the sea is amazing and the local islands are well worth a visit. The a la carte menu in the hotel was good but limited. I wasn't that impressed with the evening buffet menu so we only ate there once. But the flexi half board meant that we could then use the allowance for the a la carte lunch or drinks so it worked very well. And there are lots of lovely alternatives for food in the local area or in the town a short walk away. We loved the hotel, but we chose the smaller of the rooms which we did regret as the rooms although nicely decorated are very small and there is very limited storage and the bathroom is very small. But all in all we have a great time and would recommend.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel direkt am Strand das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr gutes Essen für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Die Zimmer sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die zwei Pools gigantisch (bei uns im Mai leider für mich zu kalt 19 Grad) aber es gibt auch 2 Whirlpool. Ansonsten alles super. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Vi elsket vårt opphold på Places. Dersom du er opptatt av det visuelle er dette hotellet en fest for øyet. Attention to detail på alle plan. Fantastisk flotte rom, med kult design. Nydelig bassengområde med bar og spisemuligheter og dj’s. Flyteelemetene i bassenget var superkjekke både for barn og voksne. Flotte treningsmuligheter og aktivitetsrommet ved resepsjonen var populært hos oss. Frokosten var upåklagelig og vi elsket Flexi-halfboard-systemet. Dette gav oss akkurat den friheten vi trengte mtp. mat/drikke. Spesielt når man reiser med barn. Utvalget av mat var bra, og pluss for salat/suppedisker og brød som sto til fri disp. på ettermiddag/kveld. Og kaldt vann ved resepsjonsområdet. Hvis man skulle trekke fram noe forbedringspotensial måtte det være at det var litt uklart mtp betaling for spesialkaffe i baren. Ene dagen måtte jeg betale, andre ikke. Pluss at jeg ikke tåler melk og den ene dagen var der alternativer (soyamelk) og andre dager kun vanlig melk. Vi savnet også kjøleskap på rommet for å holde drikken kald. Uansett. Very nice hotel. The interior was modern and stylish. We had "cherry on the top" room, this was amazing, big and with excellent view. Especially for familyroom this was a rally Nice room. The hotel alsonhad a gaming room with pool, pingpong and playstations, our teenager like this alot. The pool area was clean and there where a lot of sumbeds The hotel employees was polite and helpful. Restaurant was ok, breakfast was wonderful and had lots of different options. Lunch and dinner menu was good, but for dinner i suggestone of the many resturants i the area. I really loved the way this hotel implements half-pension. You get a certain amount of money on a bracelet, and you can ise this on what you like during your stay. If you want lunch every day or just cocktails every evening you can spend the money the way you like. All at once or little every day.

It’s located on a great location walking distance to everything. The hotel has a great hipster concept.The layout of the pool with a view to the mountains and sea is extremely beautiful. Also the beach is right there easy excess. Unfortunately the food and drinks are not good at all. The bartenders at the pool bar need a little training. Waiting 25 minutes for a drink and being awful is just bad. They used orange juice to make a piña colada 😐 at the end we ended up buying drinks at the market and taking them up to the beach. We were on the 8th floor with a sea view and Mountain View which we absolutely loved. Also the a/c only goes down to 21 which is way to warm for us. Overall it’s a nice hotel located in a great convenient area with a lot to offer. Just wouldn’t recommend to eat or drink there. Makarska is sooo beautiful.

Great location, We rented corner room which had an amazing view to the sea. Breakfast is top notch with eggs/bacon, scramble eggs end omelettes etc. ... and even with oyster/rosé. The free juices are however really only poor limonades (Orange/Apple/Black Currant) with artificial flavours, like in most Valamar hotels. Real orange costs 4 Eur per glass !! Coffee is only 5 gram taps - which is an environmental issue and tastes of nothing. Negativ with hotel is that probably due to tech, e.g. order online, you have very little contacts with the servants and when you have there is seldom a smile. Also in our room most tech did not work, either because not connected, not updated or with empty batteries, etc. Only very few non-croatian flow-tv channels, although most guests seem to be international ? OBS - from pool to beach is a lot of stairs from 2. level to basement floor where the beach is, so not good for elder or handicapped.

Extraordinary hotel with large "buzz" areas where you can hang out. We were give a room at the top floor with sea view (well worth the money) with a stunning overview. Very close to the sea which we enjoyed every day. Huge variation in employees friendliness and attention to detail. The pool bar was definitely low on service, while the cleaning lady was super helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was good, but evening buffet was not at the quality level you would expect. Hire someone with a bit more passion to lead the kitchen and the waiters - and we would give the hotel five stars!

This was the best hotel that we stayed at out of the four total on our one month long Euro trip!!! The best part of this place is that it isn’t a resort but sure does feel like it. My wife loved that the beach was literally the backyard from the junior sweet deluxe room. The theme of design overall got the best of me as it’s a little romantic, hipster and modern like made me feel different vibes. I’ll definitely stay here the next time I’m in Makarska!

Like the new concept, look and feel that they have introduced this year. You have all the things you need very close. The restaurant and pool bar had great service. The concept with "money" loaded on the wrist tag that you used for food and drinks worked great.

Very comfortable and clean. Very suitable for vacation, even included entertainment for kids like PS5, board games, foostable. Buffet breakfast and dinner also adequate of varieties. Staff are excellent, very polite and helpful.

This was an excellent vacation stay. Even if the Hotel is rated *** on some sites, the sea view combined with the mountain view and modern planning is higher, more of a 5*-feeling on a 4* budget. Included in the price (for our stay) is the brilliant 25€ voucher for drinks/food/snacks during the day. Still, there are a few things I really thought made a less good impression. 1. Smoking is allowed in the bars and restaurants during all day. 2. The restaurants doesn't have table serving so you order and pay at the bar and then queue for picking up your food when the buzzer tells it's ready. Not bad, but not what you expect from a hotel that delivers in all other categories. 3. Service. The staff is very friendly, but not always the most highly trained. I bought a drink and accidently spilled in once back at my table. I asked if I could get a new or if I had to pay.I had to pay for it myself. This is ok, I cannot complain. But the policy would have been more generous in many other hotels. We loved the hotel and hope to return again.

It was a nice hotel but over priced as you paid for the location. It was good to be able to use vouchers for drinks istead of having to eat the meals as choice was limited. Place was under staffed but everyone was helpful. Limited beach towels and bed around the pool. The beach in front of the hotel was small and you have to pay extra for the beds

Har reist en god del i og utenfor Europa. Dette er vel min 3 gang på Places og ca. 15 gang i Kroatia, Makarska har blitt vårt andre hjem. Servicen er en av tingene som gjør dette hotellet så spesielt for oss. Det gjelder i alle avdelinger, nevner spesielt Matea, Nikola, Anton og Josip in the poolarea and bars! Spesielt takk til administrasjonen ved Marina og Dragan. De er fantastiske ❤️

Kjempebehagelig atmosfære, flott rom(cherry on top) luktet godt og var rent. God mat, behagelig med basseng/bar og kort vei til stranden. Helt topp plassering. Alt kunne ordnes i app og var kjempeenkelt.

Wirklich eine schöne Anlage, sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Nettes Personal und gutes Essen. Blick auf das Meer, ob am Pool oder beim Essen. Strand und Promenade direkt vor der Tür, gutes Gym.

This place far exceeded all expectations! Beautiful, clean, modern, comfortable, efficient... everything is thought through to the smallest detail to make the stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible. I wish to give it extra stars and recommend it to everyone. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and always available to answer any question and assist with any need. It's located right on a promenade with the direct path to the beach, 2 beautiful swimming pools, a poolbar, restaurant and every possible amenity one may need! Day and night entertainment is available but yet its always peaceful, pleasant, never too loud. My husband and I absolutely loved everything they had to offer - lounging at the pool or swimming in a sea first thing in a morning. Now the food is a Special treat here - freshly prepared abundant variety of choices for any taste, incl gluten free dietary needs. Updated menu every day and Always delicious. Flexible spending option for meal plan is available and is easy to use with an user-friendly app and a silicone bracelet that works as a roomkey and a payment scan - easy to wear all day even when swimming- never worry about loosing a key! Every tourist activity or a tour pick up spot is close by and walking distance - small grocery store 5 min away, bus terminal 15 min away Whatever one may need - they got it. Special kudos to the amazing staff crew! Our stay in Dalmacija made me fall in love with Croatia, its hospitality and lovely, kind Croatian People

It’s located on a great location walking distance to everything. The hotel has a great hipster concept.The layout of the pool with a view to the mountains and sea is extremely beautiful. Also the beach is right there easy excess. Unfortunately the food and drinks are not good at all. The bartenders at the pool bar need a little training. Waiting 25 minutes for a drink and being awful is just bad. They used orange juice to make a piña colada 😐 at the end we ended up buying drinks at the market and taking them up to the beach. We were on the 8th floor with a sea view and Mountain View which we absolutely loved. Also the a/c only goes down to 21 which is way to warm for us. Overall it’s a nice hotel located in a great convenient area with a lot to offer. Just wouldn’t recommend to eat or drink there. Makarska is sooo beautiful.

Great location, We rented corner room which had an amazing view to the sea. Breakfast is top notch with eggs/bacon, scramble eggs end omelettes etc. ... and even with oyster/rosé. The free juices are however really only poor limonades (Orange/Apple/Black Currant) with artificial flavours, like in most Valamar hotels. Real orange costs 4 Eur per glass !! Coffee is only 5 gram taps - which is an environmental issue and tastes of nothing. Negativ with hotel is that probably due to tech, e.g. order online, you have very little contacts with the servants and when you have there is seldom a smile. Also in our room most tech did not work, either because not connected, not updated or with empty batteries, etc. Only very few non-croatian flow-tv channels, although most guests seem to be international ? OBS - from pool to beach is a lot of stairs from 2. level to basement floor where the beach is, so not good for elder or handicapped.

This hotel in Makarska is fabulous! The food offered here in the hotel is excellent. Best pizza I’ve had during my stay. The beds are comfortable, location is great however my only disappointment would be the beach. Even though the hotel is on exactly on the beach, it does offer access to it and it was very overcrowded. Not a lot of space to hang out. The beach was beautiful but I wasn’t able to enjoy it much since it was overcrowded with other guests/tourists. It is too bad since everything was great about our stay. Pool was fantastic, service at the pool was great including the drinks.

Extraordinary hotel with large "buzz" areas where you can hang out. We were give a room at the top floor with sea view (well worth the money) with a stunning overview. Very close to the sea which we enjoyed every day. Huge variation in employees friendliness and attention to detail. The pool bar was definitely low on service, while the cleaning lady was super helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was good, but evening buffet was not at the quality level you would expect. Hire someone with a bit more passion to lead the kitchen and the waiters - and we would give the hotel five stars!

We stayed at Dalmacija [Placeshotel] in Makarska in September 2022 and absolutely loved it! The hotel has a very welcoming and positive vibe, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the location is perfect! We will definitely return and highly recommend it!

This was the best hotel that we stayed at out of the four total on our one month long Euro trip!!! The best part of this place is that it isn’t a resort but sure does feel like it. My wife loved that the beach was literally the backyard from the junior sweet deluxe room. The theme of design overall got the best of me as it’s a little romantic, hipster and modern like made me feel different vibes. I’ll definitely stay here the next time I’m in Makarska!

Very nice hotel. The interior was modern and stylish. We had "cherry on the top" room, this was amazing, big and with excellent view. Especially for familyroom this was a rally Nice room. The hotel alsonhad a gaming room with pool, pingpong and playstations, our teenager like this alot. The pool area was clean and there where a lot of sumbeds The hotel employees was polite and helpful. Restaurant was ok, breakfast was wonderful and had lots of different options. Lunch and dinner menu was good, but for dinner i suggestone of the many resturants i the area. I really loved the way this hotel implements half-pension. You get a certain amount of money on a bracelet, and you can ise this on what you like during your stay. If you want lunch every day or just cocktails every evening you can spend the money the way you like. All at once or little every day.

Lovely hotel, modern with a Scandi vibe. Smells like a spa and has water with cucumber, lime or lemon dotted around to help yourself to. Staff are friendly, cocktails nice. Pools are clean and have floaties for people to use. Sunbeds very comfortable. Breakfast really good, lots to choose from. Fresh warm croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereal, omelettes made to order and cooked options. Also have a juicing station with an array of fresh vegetables and juices to choose from. Flexi half board works well. Given a wristband which also acts as room key. Loaded at the beginning of the week with 350 euros (25 euros per day for 7days for 2 people). Any time you have food or drink, your wristband is scanned to pay for it. As an example, large beer is about €5, cocktail €7.80 pizzas range from €9-€14, most main meals are around €15. The hotel was really clean and the pool area was great. Really comfortable sunbeds. However, people did try and 'reserve' a sunbed super early in the morning, But the hotel policy did not allow that so there were measures in place to try and prevent this and allow everyone to get a sun bed. The hotel is perfectly positioned right next to the beach. The beaches are quite small, but the sea is amazing and the local islands are well worth a visit. The a la carte menu in the hotel was good but limited. I wasn't that impressed with the evening buffet menu so we only ate there once. But the flexi half board meant that we could then use the allowance for the a la carte lunch or drinks so it worked very well. And there are lots of lovely alternatives for food in the local area or in the town a short walk away. We loved the hotel, but we chose the smaller of the rooms which we did regret as the rooms although nicely decorated are very small and there is very limited storage and the bathroom is very small. But all in all we have a great time and would recommend.

This hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, but has a lot of underlying issues which need to be addressed. We recently stayed for the weekend and although there are some positives unfortunately the negatives outweighed this. As it’s coming into peak summer season it is clear the hotel is stretched staff wise. One major issue in this hotel is the sun loungers at the pool, if you aren’t up at 6.30am you have next to no chance of a sun lounger. Although signs around the hotel state you cannot reserve sun loungers they did not actively enforce this. I spoke with staff at the pool as we arrived at 9am and every single sun lounger was reserved he said if people didn’t return in an hour he would move them but he did not and we were left with plastic loungers for the day. As we were there for 3 days we didn’t complain too much but if this was a week long stay it would be more of an issue. Another issue is the air con in the room which didn’t work properly and was set to 22 degrees inside which is far too hot especially when it is above 30 degrees outside. This hotel is very aesthetically pleasing, but has a lot of underlying issues which need to be addressed. We recently stayed for the weekend and although there are some positives unfortunately the negatives outweighed this. As it’s coming into peak summer season it is clear the hotel is stretched staff wise. One major issue in this hotel is the sun loungers at the pool, if you aren’t up at 6.30am you have next to no chance of a sun lounger. Although signs around the hotel state you cannot reserve sun loungers they did not actively enforce this. I spoke with staff at the pool as we arrived at 9am and every single sun lounger was reserved he said if people didn’t return in an hour he would move them but he did not and we were left with plastic loungers for the day. As we were there for 3 days we didn’t complain too much but if this was a week long stay it would be more of an issue. Another issue is the air con in the room which didn’t work properly and was set to 22 degrees inside which is far too hot especially when it is above 30 degrees outside. Very comfortable and clean. Very suitable for vacation, even included entertainment for kids like PS5, board games, foostable. Buffet breakfast and dinner also adequate of varieties. Staff are excellent, very polite and helpful.

It was a nice hotel but over priced as you paid for the location. It was good to be able to use vouchers for drinks istead of having to eat the meals as choice was limited. Place was under staffed but everyone was helpful. Limited beach towels and bed around the pool. The beach in front of the hotel was small and you have to pay extra for the beds
