This was my fourth time staying at the Del Marcos Hotel. I love this place. The rooms are clean, bright, and nicely decorated. The hotel is well situated downtown just one block west of Palm Springs' main street. On this visit, my boyfriend and I took advantage of the hotel's free bicycles and went for a ride around town. My only minor complaint is that sometime between now and my last stay (in fall 2021) the hotel stopped using Lather bath products. The Lather soaps and shampoos were a real treat. The new stuff is pretty generic.

Just not the same as it used to be. Each time we go back it just seems more and more run down which is such a bummer because it’s in such a great location. Pool was very murky. Mentioned it to someone and then they said it should start clearing up because he just cleaned the filter. We have a pool and it doesn’t quite work that way. That pool needed to be shocked big time. Woke up and the pool was still disgusting but we were leaving so we stopped caring. One of our tv’s was stuck on a channel (I think we were missing a remote). I had to go over to the sister hotel because nobody ever answers the phone and tell them about the tv. The gentleman at the front desk said that maintenance was gone for the day and I should have said something sooner. Ok. So I said no biggie, and he said I’ll have someone come by first thing in the morning. Nobody ever came. Not that big of a deal but kind of annoying. There were two roaches when we woke up in the morning the first night so that was a treat. So yeah, we’ve been coming here for years. We’ve stayed at both the sister hotels and it’s safe to say that the Del Marcos and the three50 hotel are the forgotten children. They definitely care more about La Serena. No more loyalty discount, no more happy hour. Each time we go back thee is less and less presence of any staff which isn’t the worst but not always ideal.

No front desk person. They put out 10 beach towels for the day which doesn’t even last until noon. You call for housekeeping and they show up 4 hours later. Check-in took the poor boy 20 minutes with the amount of information their system made them type in. It’s really gone downhill from a service perspective.

Hotel is in a great, walkable location and photographs very well, apparently. Unfortunately, the hotel is tired and worn down. Our room had drywall missing in the bathroom. The majority of the outlets didn't work. Incredibly uncomfortable bed with flat pillows. The pool area was great, but only 1 of 2 fire pits worked. We would have moved hotels if we hadn't been traveling with a group.

Very cute Boutique motel with a fifties vibe. Very nice continental breakfast and aft. Happy hour, very good cocktail. Pool clean, warm, fire pits, very inviting after a day out. Room was clean, the bed was a little dippy but not too bad. Nice patio for morning coffee. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Thank you Aaron

Pool was nice. No hot tub. Room was dated and needed upgrading ie sink wobbled as had been separated from wall. Bathroom was tiny. Had to angle and close door to use toilet. Light from pool could not be blocked out. Road noise also problem. Will not stay here again.

Nice hotel for a weekend getaway. Lovely saltwater pool that was so refreshing on the hot Palm Springs days. The location was a block from downtown so very walkable. And parking was a breeze.

This hotel could be wonderfully transformed into what it is supposed to be. The photographs do not adequately show the poor maintenance and repairs in the rooms and surrounding. Our balcony area looked liked it hadnt been cleaned in months. The furniture on balcony was filthy and probably as old as the hotel. There are missing pool tiles and the pool loungers are also ancient and dirty. The supplied towels are also probably as old as the hotel. Threadbare and rough with some actually with holes. Its a great location and would only require minimal restoration to make it a great boutique hotel but it is definitely lacking.

The room was roomy and in a great corner location at the resort overlooking the mountains and salt water pool. Check-in was not available at the hotel at 4 pm. Had to go over to a sister property for check-in which took over 15 minutes with multiple people in line and 1 agent working (very nice guy). Parking was a little tricky and limited around the perimeters of the hotels. There is no bell service or room service. The room had a nice kitchen area stocked. Furniture was worn with scratches abound. The bathroom was very small compared to the room size. There was hair wrapped around the faucet, mold/mildew in the corner of the shower, dirty white towels, and bleached black face towels. The pool was not lit until later in the night after 9 pm). There was a nice continental plus breakfast in the unmanned check-in office in the morning. The computer was not processing payments at checkout, therefore they had to copy my credit card for future charging. Very disappointed, especially at the price point of $500 for a Saturday night.

Del Marcos Hotel definitely needs some TLC. The rooms are quite dated, and the furniture is extremely worn out. The bathroom was tiny and not very clean, which was a big letdown. We specifically booked a room with a patio because we enjoy sitting outside, but the patio was so dirty and uninviting that we didn’t use it at all. It’s a shame because the property has great potential, but unfortunately, it’s not being maintained to the standard it deserves.

Everything at this property from check in, to check out was perfect. The clerk was so sweet and helped me get an early room, as my travel had been a mess. She also checked in on me during my stay when walking by and made local suggestions and assured me it was safe as i was traveling solo. The room was stocked with k cups and coffee supplies, a mini fridge and freezer, and toiletries in the bathroom. It was impeccably clean, and quiet, but tucked one city block from tons of shops and dining- and a huge plus- a grocery outlet and BevMo. The authentic mid century furniture in each room and the decor throughout the property is so tasteful and portrays Palm Springs in its beauty. Will definitely stay here anytime I visit. Amazing experience here all around!

Cody’s 1947 structure is beautiful & magnificent. That’s the ONLY good thing that can be said for this pathetic excuse of a business that is in the “service”industry. Nothing could possibly recommend staying here. We watched guests walk out after 30 minutes at the property. We should have too. No one at the front desk to greet or check us in Small poorly maintained room. “Breakfast” was inedible. Old food recycled day after day. The property was dirty. We requested that our room be serviced. It was never done. The white towels were grey, threadbare & torn. Towels were in short supply at the pool. The TV in the room did not work. The table lamp needed a be light bulb but at 8pm the front desk told me that we’d have to deal with it until 10 am the next day as there was nothing they could do. This hotel came very close to ruining a significant celebratory trip. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY ONE STAY HERE. Cody would be angry & disappointed by what the owners are doing to guests using his name to lure them into staying. Shame on all involved.

An absolute perfect Stay! loved the no kids hotel perfect for a quiet getaway. The restaurant and barn next-door were perfect and beautiful delicious and the staff was very kind. I scored the room with the outdoor bathtub and it was perfect perfection

Air conditioning wasn’t very good. Even after turning down the thermostat stayed warm. TV got no signal….. bed was not comfortable and felt like it was about to fall Apart. This was my fourth time staying at the Del Marcos Hotel. I love this place. The rooms are clean, bright, and nicely decorated. The hotel is well situated downtown just one block west of Palm Springs' main street. On this visit, my boyfriend and I took advantage of the hotel's free bicycles and went for a ride around town. My only minor complaint is that sometime between now and my last stay (in fall 2021) the hotel stopped using Lather bath products. The Lather soaps and shampoos were a real treat. The new stuff is pretty generic.

Stayed here for on a trip with my mother. The photos and price led me to believe this property would be much nicer than it actually was. I can see the charm of maintaining a historical property but some updates were sorely needed. Certainly the 1947 aesthetic could have been kept while still maintaining appearances. The bathroom was tiny with old fixtures and poor workmanship. The walls were paper thin so it was hard to get sleep. I could hear conversations, music and footsteps from the room next door until after midnight. The location is great and walking distance to the main drag which was a plus. The hotel’s midcentury architecture is what drew me there. I arrived at 7pm and the front office was already closed. I had to walk my belongings to the hotel next door to check in. Normally that’s not a big deal, but with luggage, it’s inconvenient. The pool area was great! We enjoyed sitting at a fire pit with a glass of wine. It was fairly quiet and well lit. The room looked nice upon first glance. The drain in the bathroom sink was broken. The bed was uncomfortable. There’s no insulation between the walls and we heard every move our neighbors made. The blinds failed to keep the lights from the pool out of the room. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep. There were mosquitos in the room and I woke up to a bite on my face. This hotel was designed well but not built well and it hasn’t been kept up with. It’s not worth the $135/night we paid, and certainly not worth the $300+ they ask during holidays. Look elsewhere.

Fantastic rooms! The location was fantastic. The retro kitchen😍! check-inn is disappointing as one must go next door to do so (three properties-one checkin). Very nice personal- but a note must be made as guests must be 21…. my daughter barely made the cut by months! My only complaint- noise… late evening and again in morning. My daughter was smart and brought earmuffs! Very nice place overall.

The good thing about our stay was that it was safe and quiet. There was no one at the desk for check in or check out. Check in took around an hour at the property next door - the system was having an issue which I understand and we had time. But then we were given a room that didn’t have the balcony/mnt view that we booked. It didn’t have a plaque like the rest and actually the tv and bathroom fixture was broken… disappointing for sure. And no one to talk to about this when we left. Probably will book another hotel (not Kirkwood properties) when we visit again.

We had a great stay here, our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (after check-in time) but luckily it was happy hour and we were able to get a drink and snacks while we waited. Rose was especially accommodating and the location couldn’t be beat! Close to downtown restaurants and shopping and a fun resort with great pool area. We would definitely stay here again!

This small, boutique hotel provided a wonderful place to stay when I travelled alone on vacation during the Christmas holiday week. The breakfasts and happy hour drinks & snacks were terrific and provided an opportunity to meet and chat with other guests. The atmosphere is so much more friendly than at a large, chain hotel. Service by the hotel staff was exceptional, especially from Rose who quickly attended to any minor issue or inconvenience. Also, a great location - right downtown near shops and restaurants. Very highly recommended! I look forward to returning next year.

Loved my stay! Everyone was helpful and friendly. Great location to many shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend Azúcar next door. The pool area had a great chill vibe and the mid-century property makes you feel like you are doing OG Palm Springs.

Received text the day of arrival saying the front desk would only be staffed until 11pm, we arrived at 6pm to a sign on the door to go check in on property around the corner - not a deal breaker but the front desk was never manned the entire duration, and I'm not seeing anywhere advising check in was at the property around the corner We were woken up at 1:30am and then again at around 7am new years day, it sounded like someone was throwing/dropping something heavy on the ground over and over again. Was originally going to write it off to an unruly guest and was going to let it go but it happened again the morning of departure.

Nice hotel for a weekend getaway. Lovely saltwater pool that was so refreshing on the hot Palm Springs days. The location was a block from downtown so very walkable. And parking was a breeze.

Terrible value. We payed over xxxx a night (including a resort fee) and the place was not really a proper hotel. No front desk at all. You have to check in at the neighbouring hotel. The hotel is a mid century modern masterpiece, but is being allowed to fall apart. Our room had plaster falling off the wall, broken ikea furniture (in addition to fading mid century modern furniture). The wiring was from the 50’s. The free breakfast was insultingly bad (horrible muffins, yoghurt and oranges which were still frozen from the fridge and horrible coffee) all served with plastic cutlery and disposable plates. Instant coffee only in the rooms which I have never seen in North America. Room service and the front desk staff (at the neighbouring hotel) were very nice. The pool was only cleaned on one day we were there. For your resort fee you get access to frankly dangerous bicycles with back pedal breaks and sticky handle bars. There was a nod to happy hour on one day when Jose gave us white wine sangria in a plastic cup but that only happened one day out of 4. There were rarely enough towels by the pool. The building is beautiful and classic but room rates are luxury levels and clearly the management are just milking architecture junkies to stay in a place which is falling apart. And really that breakfast! Pathetic.

The room was roomy and in a great corner location at the resort overlooking the mountains and salt water pool. Check-in was not available at the hotel at 4 pm. Had to go over to a sister property for check-in which took over 15 minutes with multiple people in line and 1 agent working (very nice guy). Parking was a little tricky and limited around the perimeters of the hotels. There is no bell service or room service. The room had a nice kitchen area stocked. Furniture was worn with scratches abound. The bathroom was very small compared to the room size. There was hair wrapped around the faucet, mold/mildew in the corner of the shower, dirty white towels, and bleached black face towels. The pool was not lit until later in the night after 9 pm). There was a nice continental plus breakfast in the unmanned check-in office in the morning. The computer was not processing payments at checkout, therefore they had to copy my credit card for future charging. Very disappointed, especially at the price point of $500 for a Saturday night.

The pool was sparkling (and the misters were terrific) and hit the mark for MCM decor. Hotel’s location is legit in the middle of everything- making shopping, dining and even our Starbucks runs super convenient. Dog friendly and attached to another hotel with a fantastic restaurant, Azucar with rooftop dining and a view of the mountains, we had a fantastic three-day / two-night getaway.

The ambiance was perfect. The pool was perfect. Azúcar, a restaurant nearby, brought us food and drinks poolside. They were a little bit put off by our request for late check-out and all the guests seemed to be getting a bottle and glasses at check-in and we didn’t. I’m not sure why. We got great recommendations for food nearby. There is Village Fest every Thursday which is in walking distance. We were able to catch that and bought some cute things there. Overall, a perfect spot. Friendly staff, great food and atmosphere. Will be back for sure.

As you step into the lobby, you just get filled with happyness! The staff are so positive and take their time to speak with you like one of the family. We ate brunch several times and the quality and value for money is outstanding. We also borrowed 2 bikes and spent hours exploring. Probably the biggest problem was having a sore face from smiling so much. So many thanks to all the staff and owner
