Stayed 1 night

Breakfast was super. My wife particularly enjoyed the porridge. Portions were large. Room was clean & staff friendly. Bed wasn’t that comfortable so didn’t sleep particularly well. A bit too soft and springy for me as I like a good firm mattress. Room was very hot. Didn’t look like we could open a window but to be fair I didn’t ask. One thing they may wish to consider is to put a mirror in the room & not just in the en-suite. My wife dries her hair without her glasses on and couldn’t see herself from where the hairdresser plugs in to the mirror in the bathroom. This was a family room number 1.

Fantastic location and hotel and staff were excellent. Stayed in a family room which was spacious and a fantastic view. Had breakfast and dinner both nights and food was good. Takeaway night on Friday was ideal and popular with the locals too. Will definitely book again.

Helpful and friendly staff. Lively crowd at the bar gives it an authentic feel. Easy access to lots of nature. Clean, basic rooms- ours had a washroom down the hall which was not convenient but had a warm and welcoming shower. Breakfast included and was super tasty and surprisingly gourmet (i had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon ).

Outstanding location, secluded and quiet Greeting was friendly and efficient. Room large enough with nice bathroom. Bar was well stocked, breakfast was lovely, would have preferred haggis not black pudding, but no complaints to freshly cooked hot food to your choice. Really enjoyed the stay after 250 miles that day.
