Everything nice and clean, lovely breakfast, good location(pub in village does v. filling food), plenty of free parking, wifi good. Bus through the village if you're thinking of an end to end walk, which we did (doesn't run in winter). Would be happy to go back

Great B&B in a lovely location, 30min walk to Keswick. Beautiful walk to Keswick - take a good torch for nighttime walks to town. the village itself has a nice wee pub and has stunning views. Room was clean with plenty of towels, tea/coffee/milk. Breakfast was fine considering what we paid for our room. lovely breakfast room with efficient and friendly service. Plenty of free parking. We were happy with the lack of interaction with people during checkin - got a security code, then key - very easy. would recommend and will stay again.

The guesthouse had good parking and was about half a mile walk from Keswick. There was a nice path along the edge of some fields and away from the road. The room in the guest house was very spacious and most comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely stay and hope to return some time soon. Thanks

Comfortable warm room although not very big, good shower, tasty breakfast, free parking & a pub within easy walking distance. Some lights on the rear car park would be useful, it was a good thing we had a touch in the car. Breakfast times quite restricted.

I had a very poor night’s sleep. Despite the many positive reviews, the negative ones were unfortunately accurate. The accommodation feels cheaply done—thin walls, an uncomfortable bed with low-quality bedding, and like the walls the towels were very thin. Parking is chaotic, and noise levels are an issue, with little consideration from other guests, even in the early hours.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this B&B. The property itself is beautifully maintained—cozy, spotless, and full of character. My room was lovely and comfortable with a lovely garden. Dog friendly and lots of parking spaces. The lady who served our breakfast was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic stay at this lovely family ran B&B. Check in was a breeze and communicated clearly via email. Plenty of parking on site and a short 2 minute walk to the local village pub which did home cooked meals. Clean well equipped room with a very comfy bed. Pre order breakfast the evening before via booking slip at reception. Breakfast the following day was freshly cooked and served by a friendly and efficient member of the team. Well worth a stop over if you’re in the lakes and fancy a night or two getaway but still close enough to exploring the local area including Keswick.

Parking was excellent on the premises but no ev charging. Everything was wonderful and we thoroughly recommend Rickerby Grange. It was the best we have ever stayed at in this Country.

Great location, ideal stay for a hiking trip in the Lakes. The breakfast is fine, served by some top young lads, ample parking a bonus and very clean. The room is basic but what more do you need?

I enjoyed my wee trip to here, 2 nights. The room was for 3 adults and i though very spacious. Clean and tidy. The room was modern with a lovely ensuite. The view from our room was even more breath taking with the snow on the mountains. Breakfast was amazing and famikyvrun. The wee boys who served us were patient, helpful and polite with a clear understanding of there duties. There is no lift at this property but, it is only one flight of stairs up. I would with no doubt return again if ever in Keswick again. Taxis need to be prebooked as they seem to be busy or not enough for the area.

The property seriously needs TLC or a maintenance person bathroom missing 2 light bulbs dark. Shower sealant mouldy. Paintwork on wall marked damp where you hang your clothes surrounding around property not maintained breakfast you could have swam in the oil on the plate and the black pudding smelt off to the extent we decided to avoid breakfast the next morning would not recommend this propy

Very tired and unkempt. The outside area is not nice at all. The room was small and cheaply decorated. Needs new skirting boards and interior door to bring it up to a better standard. The sealant round the shower is a mess, as is some of the grouting. Couldn’t get the smart tv to work. Cheap breakfast with small portions. We really wished we had not booked this hotel.

On arrival I found the parking space cramped . No attention to detail. Weeds growing in planters. Could do with decorating and not clean in places . Nobody to greet on arrival. On arrival gardener chipping hedge cuttings for 2 hours and I’d gone away to get some peace.

room needed a lick of paint,shower room was smallest I’ve ever seen,I am far from a hotel snob I don’t stay in 5* but I just don’t think this place was worth the money I paid £75 a night and wasn’t worth it at all Couldn’t use the toilet comfortably at all,I’m only 10 stone so I don’t know how anyone larger would get on,shower cramped,had no shampoo in shower room which it said it had so I didn’t bring mine I just think for what I got it wasn’t value for money walls very thin also,we were in room on top of kitchen so first thing in morning could hear all conversations and microwave dinging constantly as well breakfast was also cold Bed and pillows comfy and nice area but that was all

Lovely hotel in a perfect location to take a leisurely walk into Keswick you need a torch if it's dark. The breakfast was very nice. We stayed in room 8 a family room the double bed was comfie but the single bed wasnt also the onsuite smelly.

I really appreciated the ease and efficiency of contactless check-in (and the extra tea, coffee and milk packets by the front door). Quiet and clean room with super comfy beds, and a great shower. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

1. Personal service was a joke; for the 1st 3 days of our stay, the only staff we saw were the 3 teenage sons who delivered breakfast; no welcome or follow up until day 4 of our stay. 2. The bathroom was tiny with a 30" shower module filling most of the space. 3. Free toiletries was a single bottle of hand soap; a bottle of shower gel appeared a day after a phone call to the owner; we bought our own hair shampoo, etc. 4. The mattress was well past it\'s prime: soft and ridged. 5. Security was a joke with the "secure code" sent a day before arrival also being posted on the outside of the front door. 6. Overall a thoroughly misleading description of the facilities and services provided.

Everything was as described. Easy to follow instructions for checking in and ordering breakfast. Lovely that all the family are involved with very polite youngsters helping in the breakfast room. Breakfast choice was great and just what we needed for a day on the hills.

This was a one off but it wont be from now on. Very easy to find, owners were very good in communicating prior to the visit and available if queries arose which did not. Easy walk into Keswick, walking boots shoes are suggested (but not essential). All in all we will return to Rickerby Grange again.

Great hotel just outside keswick, contactless check in and everything you waiting in your room. Breakfast is lovely, preordered so everything is made fresh and service is really friendly. Communication from the hotel prior to the stay is fantastic. Will definitely stay again

Great B&B in a lovely location, 30min walk to Keswick. Beautiful walk to Keswick - take a good torch for nighttime walks to town. the village itself has a nice wee pub and has stunning views. Room was clean with plenty of towels, tea/coffee/milk. Breakfast was fine considering what we paid for our room. lovely breakfast room with efficient and friendly service. Plenty of free parking. We were happy with the lack of interaction with people during checkin - got a security code, then key - very easy. would recommend and will stay again.

The guesthouse had good parking and was about half a mile walk from Keswick. There was a nice path along the edge of some fields and away from the road. The room in the guest house was very spacious and most comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly. We had a lovely stay and hope to return some time soon. Thanks

Fabulous little accommodation, less than 10 min to Keswick. Clean, comfortable room. Great selection of food for breakfast. Quiet surroundings and a view of the lush hills. Couldn't of asked for anything better.

A great place to stay. Lovely spacious and warm room, great breakfast (included in price), lovely location with 5 min walk to the lake. Farmers Arms 2 min walk served great food and drinks at a good price.

We booked a last minute stay (literally booking hours before our arrival) and were very impressed. Right from the start communication was prompt and clear, check in was slick, great location for local walks and the room was very comfortable with a fabulous cooked breakfast served by extremely friendly and well mannered young people. A great family business and we look forward to staying again in the near future! Thank you for a wonderful stay ☺️

I enjoyed my wee trip to here, 2 nights. The room was for 3 adults and i though very spacious. Clean and tidy. The room was modern with a lovely ensuite. The view from our room was even more breath taking with the snow on the mountains. Breakfast was amazing and famikyvrun. The wee boys who served us were patient, helpful and polite with a clear understanding of there duties. There is no lift at this property but, it is only one flight of stairs up. I would with no doubt return again if ever in Keswick again. Taxis need to be prebooked as they seem to be busy or not enough for the area.

The property seriously needs TLC or a maintenance person bathroom missing 2 light bulbs dark. Shower sealant mouldy. Paintwork on wall marked damp where you hang your clothes surrounding around property not maintained breakfast you could have swam in the oil on the plate and the black pudding smelt off to the extent we decided to avoid breakfast the next morning would not recommend this propy

Highly, highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast in the Lake District. I really appreciated the ease and efficiency of contactless check-in (and the extra tea, coffee and milk packets by the front door). Quiet and clean room with super comfy beds, and a great shower. The breakfast the next morning was exceptional! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area.

Really looking forward to staying here after reading the good reviews. Room we had was quite tired and in need of decoration. Bathroom was really tiny. No storage space but we were only there for one night. Breakfast was okay but not much variety. Did not like being in a seperate dining room. Bed was clean and comfortable. If I ever stayed here again I would request it was not in that room so that we at least had a proper bathroom. Unfortunately could not request a move as property was sold out

The room was clean with a comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and very pleasant staff. Free on site parking. A five minute walk to the nearest pub about twenty minutes into Keswick on foot. Excellent location for touring the area. Would recommend.

Great location as a base with Keswick only a 20 min walk or 5 minute drive. The room was comfortable with everything you needed and there were spare items such as towels and coffee to help yourself to in communal areas. Breakfast was fantastic and all of the staff we met were so helpful and kind. Will definitely stay again!
