Lovely comfortable room, friendly staff and excellent restaurant. Also a large, spacious car park.

Price good reflecting basic hotel. Dining options Indian restaurant only, no breakfast and hotel is not licensed for alcohol

Clean . Decent stay for 1 night as Manchester hotels were full for football. No bar although town centre is only a ten minute walk with pubs and takeaways. Big carpark.

Stayed on a Monday - no restaurant that evening, bar closed, no breakfast at all. Room comfortable. Took very long time to get hot water in shower and sink. Noise for the road is intrusive, even though my room overlooked the car park. Noise from aircraft into Manchester airport intrusive from dawn. It is ok so long as you know what you are getting, or not.

Hotel easy to get to by bus car or taxi and has ample parking spaces

Ideal location prior to a mid morning flight.Clean , friendly staff but unfortunately not open on a Tuesday night at present🤔

Only non-alcoholic beverages available in bar, policy of new owners. No traditional english breakfast, ie sausage, bacon, eggs available, only continental breakfast, again policy of new owners. This should be mentioned and drawn to guests’ attention before they commit to booking. I and my travelling companions, one of whom has stayed at Wycliffe at least ten times previously will not be staying there again or recommending it to others.

Smashing hotel. Staff are amazing. Clean, tidy & well maintained. Have an onsite Indian restaurant, it's in our top 5 of Indian (UK) resturants of all time. Great menu, lovely food, staff are just the best! They dont serve alcohol but they encourage you to bring yiur own, and tgere is no "corkage". Soft drinks are serverd though.

I didn't stay at this hotel, I checked in went to the room and then left and went and found another hotel. There was hair on the pillow, the bed linnen was dirty and the bed was not made paticularly well, the room was dirty throughout with large deposits of dust and scum in the bathroom and on the rads, the curtains were stained and the room smelt of cat urine. I will be seeking a full refund from Expedia

A one night stay , 1st impressions don’t do it justice tbf. Easy check in and a spotlessly clean room with a large bed . Only met 2 members of staff and they were both polite,friendly and helpful. Would stay again .

Very courteous reception lady, rooms were clean, ample parking available. We were here for 1 night and very satisfied with overall service. There are small issues like cups, kettle was unclean or dated. Bathroom Taps did not had enough hot water

We arrived late after a very busy day and we were very tired. Therefore once I got the key to the room from a friendly and helpful lady front of house, we just had a shower and went to bed, too tired to inspect the room. It was when i woke up the next day that i could actually see the room and the thing that made feel bilious was that our pillows were soiled, mine had what looked like a blood stain and certainly not from me. The condition of both pillows looked grim, i checked the cupboard for the spares they were the same. No durable clean pillow cases to cover the pillow, it looked like just the pillow without pillow case. We were told the night before they do not breakfast and when i went downstairs to complain about the pillows, the place was abandoned. It said no staff until 8am, I waited longer than that and nobody turned up, no phone in the room to ring anyone. I had other business to attend to, the trip was not leisure, and you leave your room key and leave by a side entrance like some airBNB. Its such a pity they let themselves down with those gross pillows. The room, though average had nice touches like a thank you bag with biscuits, night mask and toiletries. The shower was very low pressure, when the shower head was lower than your chest the water nearly stopped and raise it higher it worked again. I have no idea why it did that, a plumber can explain that one. In the morning planes fly overhead every 5 minutes, you need the windows open as it was stuffy.

Room was quite dated with some fixtures loose or hanging off. Several flies in the room which was a little unusual but as there were no rooms to change to the staff got rid of them with fly spray. Restaurant was closed so had to order in takeaway. Quite noisy too with thin walls, squeaky floors and planes above. On the positive side the bed and room were clean, and the shower was hot. If this room was half the price I paid it would have been fair value but with Stockport playing at home I’m sure the price was higher than normal, so bear this in mind when booking.

Having read previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive of staying here with friends but from check in to check out I needn't have worried. We did pre-book in the restaurant but had to cancel due to time constraints (off to see the Eagles at 19.30 so time a bit tight). Reception was ever so helpful and offered to order us a taxi but we wanted to walk to the station so he he gave us accurate directions. Both rooms were lovely and clean and looked like they had recently been refurbished, new carpet, bed and furniture. Walked 5 minutes down the road to a little cafe called The Castle for breakfast so all was good with the world.

We checked in early and had a Quick Look at the room then left to meet family for dinner. When we got back we found an infestation of flies , bugs on the floor , walls doors windows everywhere. It was awful we were offered another room but because of the gross experience we left and drove back to our home in Scotland . We are still traumatised by this dreadful experience. Not a good look for Hotels.com

We stayed in a very lovely triple room, loads of space and very clean. Bathroom was spotless and staff were very friendly. The receptionist was brilliant and took a shinning to our 8.5 month old son. If I had to be picky we didn't have any towels in our room nor teaspoons for coffee. But a quick trip to reception fixed that. That thank you bag is a really nice touch. The hotel is on the flight path to Manchester airport do you can hear the places flying overhead but it's not too bad. The Indian restaurant in site was very good. The waiters also took a shinning to our son. Highly recommended.

Girl on the desk was lovely and helpful. Made me feel really welcome and gave an excellent service. Room was exceptionally clean. Bed was a little hard but some people might like that. Planes do fly over but stops at some point not too late and starts in the morning. I would stay again.

As basic and dated as the pictures suggest, however it was very clean, comfortable and the room was spacious, so a good option for a one-night budget stay. The guy on the front desk didn’t seem to know what was going on, though, and tried to charge me for a room that was already paid for, which was a bit disconcerting.

A very basic clean hotel. Paper thin walls, constant noise from what I assume are bathroom fans. Miniscule breakfast with limited options. No facilities for wheelchair access, stairs to entrance, no disabled parking spaces even ground floor rooms have stairs.

Everyone who works here is very kind. The hotel is super cute also. The bed was hard, and walls are very thin so you will hear everything/everyone around you.

The staff were very accommodating, having a room cleaned early so that we could get ready for a wedding that started before check in time. Would recommend, we were well looked after.

The Hotel was really well run and all the staff were very helpful the room was very comfortable and we got there all safe was very welcoming nothing to much we wre treat like royalty highly recommended

The was older , but clean and well presented older style rooms. However there was no catering available and no staff before 8am, which was inconvenient as that was after I would leave for work.

Staff were friendly and the welcome pack in the room was a nice gesture. Took a while to find the receptionist at check in and WiFi and I had to go back as WiFi password wasn't in the room. I discovered the following morning that there were no shower items, soap, shampoo etc. Kept going to reception until after 8am to get some but it was in darkness and the access door was locked.

Absolutely no service no dining as advertised also no response whatsoever when you called the number they asked you to call I am expecting a refund for the two days we left early due to the condition of the venue also I believe I may have been charged twice Very disappointed

Réception was very poor. Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. ‘O mimi sachets on tea tram. Loi d’identité flush property and shower was disgusting. Mattress ok but pillow like nothing I have evervseen before. Over all disappointîg and never to be repeated.

Great location if heading to Stockport for football, easy parking and short walk. Hotel is clean and comfortable, good hot shower and for the one night perfect! Hotel is not currently offering any option for breakfast, which I hadn’t realised but worked around that (biscuits in the room helped) but worth noting that there isn’t much around the hotel in terms of shops. Room was very comfortable and bed great for a nights sleep, being on the flight path into Manchester airport might be a challenge in summer with windows open but for me didn’t impact my sleep. Would happily stay again if passing by for a night

Staff were lovely and helpful throughout our stay. Lovely, light private room with comfortable king size bed and nice en-suite bathroom. Good price for double room a in convenient location. Also next to lovely park! Recommend!

Overal a good stay. The hotel is in the middle of a residential area so transportation may be limited to private cars or black cabs to get in and out; the tram station is a bit far to reach by walking if it’s raining(15-20min). Breakfast was included which is great, but very limited. Consider adding some cheese or some kind of protein. The restaurant doesn’t open every day and there are no places to eat around; consider delivery apps. Room was clean and housekeeping was on point and daily. Staff was very kind and helpful. They do not have a 24/7 helpdesk so plan your time arrival in advance. Would definitely consider staying again

The Wycliffe Hotel had a welcome feel to it no large stag or Hen parties to contend with. We were visiting friends and the location was perfect. If your visiting Edgeley or Cheadle the hotel is ideally located. Manchester airport is 20 mins. away. The staff are welcoming and the hotel is very well run, clean has everything you require.

Friendly welcome from staff. Room was basic but clean and well presented. A welcome bag with toothbrush and snacks was a nice touch. I used this hotel as it was 15 minutes drive to MAN airport and I would recommend it.

Very poor service on arrival. Only one person doing everything begrudgingly! Hotel is advertised as having a restaurant. This is true……but only open on Wednesday? No breakfast facilities so very disappointed. On a positive, the shower was decent pressure and plenty of hot water
