A nice friendly run hotel. Quick good check in, the room was ok but just needed a bit of attention in some areas. The shower was brilliant with good water pressure. The restaurant is a Marco Pierre White franchise and the steak was nice. A lot of customers ordered a pizza and did look really nice, so maybe next time. The staff were all friendly and polite.

Have stayed here before. Ideal location just off the M5 at junction 14 but not the quietest for traffic noise. Room was very comfortable and clean. Disappointing that there are no lite bites of an evening in the bar. We were offered to book in the restaurant but we do not like Italian food. A good choice for breakfast, continental and full English buffet, however as I said on my previous visit it isn't kept very warm! Neither was the water for tea and coffee. It would have been nice to extend our stay but unfortunately our room was booked.

The hotel was fine - the bed was a bit too hard and also too low for our liking. The Marco’s restaurant was a complete let down - but I’ve done a separate review for that! We booked the hotel with 24 hour room service - this was not available after 8:45pm - we also booked the hotel with daily housekeeping - this did not happen - our bed was unmade and we had to phone reception for fresh towels and extra refreshments - all very disappointing given that we paid extra for the executive room and expected to get what we paid for - the room was as described however the door was very stiff and had to be forcibly pushed to open & forcibly banged to shut - the bathroom & shower were very good - the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok but very basic with not a huge choice - because the hotel was quiet I think the hot food was standing for too long as they didn’t think there was a need to keep replenishing it, however it was quite dried up. As they had already set & reserved tables for dinner, the breakfast tables available were a bit too close and twice I had to get up in the middle of my meal to let someone get past our table.

Hotel was in a good position - easy to find. The receptionist was extremely helpful, and check in and out simple. The room was a good size, with comfortable beds. There is no housekeeping but you could request additional tea/coffee etc if needed. Lots of car parking spaces.

Cheerful efficient staff, spotless spacious room, navy blue wall, tea, coffee and biscuits, comfortable bed, right weight of duvet, quiet, thoughtfully given rooms at far end of corridor, heard nothing though Freddie Mercury concert taking place. Poor, booked for two nights only stayed one , asked for money back. Room dirty , small, shabby, bathroom mouldy and dirty. Certainly overpriced for what we were offered. We were offered other rooms one the bed was too small(we had deliberately booked for a king size as we are both tall/large people . The other room was larger , but still very shabby. The breakfast was cold, when supposed to be hot , water for tea only just warm.

Friendly staff. Room was spotless and toasty warm as freezing outside. Bed was so comfortable hard to get out. Food and service in restaurant brilliant. We went to Bath for weekend and it was worth the 30 min drive to stay here for a third of the price of similar Bath hotels.

Even though we stayed at the hotel for one night, the bed was very small for two people. We only just fit. The room had no air conditioning whatsoever and the windows would only open so far. It was very dirty and very hot as well. We dined at the hotel as well and the food was subpar for the money that you pay for it. The Staff were rude, and the hotel was dirty as a whole as well. It was very easy to find and get to. The area around the hotel was lovely. We had a lovely weekend as whole but the hotel needs some serious TLC and the food either needs to be cheaper for what you pay or the standard needs to get better. My partner had their Ragu and it was bland and tasteless and I had their burger and I genuinely thought that went to McDonalds to get it! This hotel needs to be looked at ASAP by Best Western!

Issues with cleanliness caused a chest infection and coughing. Dust had collected in various areas of ducting and heating that was not maintained and serviced. Very poor and staff tried to clean but not very well and initially refused to provide me with tools to resolve. Finally I cleaned the devices and had a night coughing free.

The hotel is definitely in need of a refurbishment. The rooms are extremely dated and feel very old, however our room at least felt clean.The restaurant areas are not bad, but reception and hallways also need an update. The lack of air conditioning made the room feel very warm and stale.

Very nice hotel but seemed to be very understaffed, no one on receiption until 8.30am. The resteraunt only had 4-5 tables avilable because the lights were'nt working. The food was very good but wasn't made to feel very welcome. Perhaps it was the time of year but there weren't many guests staying. I would think twice about returning.

An overnight stay here. I booked a comfort room with a king bed and was shown to an awful room with a small double. The back panel was handing off too! I complained to reception and was eventually given the correct room. We ate at the onsite restaurant. My partner had to send back his carbonara and it was very mushy and overcooked. Breakfast was ok. I would not stay here again.

A good choice for breakfast, continental and full English buffet, however as I said on my previous visit it isn't kept very warm! Neither was the water for tea and coffee. It would have been nice to extend our stay but unfortunately our room was booked.

You'll need a car to get around as it's in the middle of nowhere. I'm a type of traveller who needs space so go for the Comfort room if you're the same. Room was adequate for a 3 star hotel so wasn't expecting much but the breakfast buffet was excellent. Very freshly made especially in batch as they don't allow hot food to sit there to get soggy. My friend may write a review complaining about staff not able to make a mocha so if you see that then ignore her comments. She isn't classy and doesn't understand times are hard.

Friendly staff. Room was spotless and toasty warm as freezing outside. Bed was so comfortable hard to get out. Food and service in restaurant brilliant. We went to Bath for weekend and it was worth the 30 min drive to stay here for a third of the price of similar Bath hotels.

Even though we stayed at the hotel for one night, the bed was very small for two people. We only just fit. The room had no air conditioning whatsoever and the windows would only open so far. It was very dirty and very hot as well. We dined at the hotel as well and the food was subpar for the money that you pay for it. The Staff were rude, and the hotel was dirty as a whole as well. It was very easy to find and get to. The area around the hotel was lovely. We had a lovely weekend as whole but the hotel needs some serious TLC and the food either needs to be cheaper for what you pay or the standard needs to get better. My partner had their Ragu and it was bland and tasteless and I had their burger and I genuinely thought that went to McDonalds to get it! This hotel needs to be looked at ASAP by Best Western!

Hotel was in a good position - easy to find. The receptionist was extremely helpful, and check in and out simple. The room was a good size, with comfortable beds. There is no housekeeping but you could request additional tea/coffee etc if needed. Lots of car parking spaces.

Food was very poor, undercooked calamari and the Ribeye steak was the worse quality I’ve ever had, considering the Marco prices , was very disappointing, Room has no aircon and very hot with no air as windows have chain locks on them , so you can only open them a couple of inches , don’t stay here on a warm day

Have stayed here before. Ideal location just off the M5 at junction 14 but not the quietest for traffic noise. Room was very comfortable and clean. Room was clean and could have done with a central light source as was a little dark. Plenty of showergel, handwash and shampoo in the rooms and.the shower was ok. Bathroom was clean. Only let down was the restaurant facilities as the food at Marcos was very poor.

An overnight stay here. I booked a comfort room with a king bed and was shown to an awful room with a small double. The back panel was handing off too! I complained to reception and was eventually given the correct room. We ate at the onsite restaurant. My partner had to send back his carbonara and it was very mushy and overcooked. Breakfast was ok. I would not stay here again.

Super stay- really friendly staff and comfortable bed. Good food. Two things however slightly let it down - no lift for those with walking problems to get to the second floor - stairs only-and once in the room the shower was above the bath so again anyone with knee or disability would find it difficult to gain access to utilise. ( There may be other arrangements on the ground floor- didn’t ask for disability option) as I assumed that -as most hotels- it would have general lift and shower access to/ in every room.
