Check in was smooth, having dedicated parking (albeit at a significant cost)was nice as it’s tough to find downtown at times. It’s an older hotel so the rooms are quite small, we had a painted white window so you could not see outside, which would be a real issue if you were staying multiple days. There was a vent window that you could push open a couple of inches, but nothing to see but roof. The bathroom is also small, but was well appointed with a good sized shower and new toilet. The sink was very small and hard to use when brushing your teeth. Also only two paper cups and very small espresso china cups. Give me a couple of glasses for petesake! The AC is LOUD, and the walls are thin, so you can hear everything in the halls and the rooms close by, and above. There is. Sign in the elevator about quiet time from 10 PM to 7 AM or risk being tossed out on your ear, so noise is obviously an issue. The free breakfast looked pretty nice, although I don’t partake as we only got one free breakfast and we’re a party of two. I don’t like that at all, either give us breakfast, or don’t. We went to a great little place around the corner for considerably less than they wanted to charge. They brought a mini fridge up when we asked for one, but at the price it should already be there. Nothing really stood out as outstanding or particularly bad, but we would not stay again because of the noise and the lack of a window.

The staff at this hotel were amazing!! So friendly, fun and great at their jobs! Only downside of our trip is that the “Living Room” is closed. If you look on Expedia it doesn’t show that. It advertises for it instead, so we were hoping for a place to go for a drink and a bite to eat in the hotel but other than breakfast that isn’t an option. Otherwise a great, cute place to stay that is easy walking to many other amenities!

I booked this hotel weeks in advance because of the description (and good reviews( of the bar & restaurant, even though it was high priced, which is tupjcal of Accor. A few days before my arrival I checked the hotel description again, to find a message that the bar and restaurant were closed for the future. I messaged Hotels.com and the hotel directly, asking if I could cancel my booking for a full refund - they only replied on the day of my arrival in Vancouver, so I had no chance of finding alternative accommodation. So I stayed the 5 nights. This hotel is over-priced and not good value for money.

I generally like the atmosphere of old hotels. It was a cute room but it had more of a hostel vibe to it than an actual hotel. Our room faced the front of Granville street and it was LOUD. People lined up at what I assume is a nightclub and were screaming and laughing all night. To the girl who screamed out she farted, to dudes screaming around for whatever reason, sirens and seagulls. Also no onsite parking so we found a seedy alley parking spot and I felt uncomfortable leaving my vehicle there incase it was broken into. Thankfully it wasn’t but cost 45 bucks for 24 hour parking

The staff were Wonderful and the room was clean and well appointed. It also felt so great to walk into a well air conditioned room at the end of the day. Unfortunately, we were not advised that the restaurant was closed when we booked, so that was quite disappointing.

Location was great. Within walking distance of good food/drink. Disappointed the restraunt/bar was closed Mon/Tue the only 2 nights we were staying. Also the "Basement" that was was advertised on website was permenantly closed. All and all pretty good. Probably won't stay there again. One other thing No mini fridge.

Not easy for older people to manage the stairs at the entrance. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was not open at night. Expedia never mentioned it.

This was the first time stay at this hotel. My spouse and I were situated on the third floor, in a room with two queens. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The location is right in the heart of downtown; very close to the venues that we were attending, close to restaurants and shops. There can be a rough element to the neighborhood, but that's expected when you're downtown. The hotel was clean and comfortable; the room was comfortably small; a mini fridge, night stand between the two queen beds, two windows (sizeable one in the main room, small one in the three piece bath), shower offered both rain head and handheld that provided more pressure, water was plenty hot, AC worked very well. Blackout curtain worked like a champ, Nespresso coffee machine was fantastic (never used one of those before). A few different teas were also offered in the room with an electric tea kettle. There was an open, door-less, closet (iron and board available in a tucked in pocket), luggage wrack available. Walls are a tad thin, but nothing too concerning. Elevator is on the smaller side and not terribly speedy, but the stairs are easy enough to navigate. The hotel offered free electric bike use, which was awesome, though we did not take advantage of it. Parking was in a subsection of an uncovered parking lot, $36 a night, and well worth it. The lotion, soaps and hair products are Skoah brand, having a pleasant minty smell. Recommend it!

I paid and booked a superior queen room, and I stayed in a regular one. Front desk claimed it was the same square footage, but I didn’t have a proper table/ desk nor a bench, any closet space, nor any actual room to walk around the room. Disappointing. The entire building reeks of sewage/ garbage or something and they have tried masking the smell with cleaning it, which is great because the whole place was spotless. Very very clean indeed. The staff were helpful as very nice but some of them had chips on their shoulders when you would ask about accommodations and what not.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Hotel Belmont. The room was very clean and comfortable. The exterior of the hotel and the interior decor gives off the vibes of a lounge, with a mix of class and eccentricity. The location is very convenient and central, a short walk from all major POI (points of interest) within the city - Gastown, Waterfront, BC Place, Rogers Arena...I have a hamstring injury and made it around town, hope to be back next time when I am healed LOL. It's minutes away from the #19 bus line that takes you to Stanley Park (15 min. ride). I went through Robson street on my way to Rogers Arena to attend TWICE concerts, and I love the variety of restaurants you can try on this street, and around town in general. Many fast food chains and convenience stores are also located nearby. The ice water chilled with cucumber was surprisingly refreshing. (and I don't even like cucumber)

The room was spotless and beautifully maintained, with excellent amenities. The staff was incredibly welcoming and consistently went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. This was a fabulous boutique hotel. Beautifully renovationed with bold colors and classy fixtures. The staff went above and beyond, making sure we had everything we needed for a safe and comfortable stay. Housekeeping was spot on and things were very clean. The restaurant/ bar attached had the best and most fun waitress and great food. We will be back.

The Hotel Belmont in Vancouver markets itself as a four-star boutique hotel, but I don’t think it quite lives up to that rating. The room was clean and nicely designed. It was small and a bit cramped, but the linens were some of the freshest and cleanest I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. Everything smelled great and felt well cared for. The Skoah toiletries were a nice touch, and the quirky details around the property added some charm. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout my stay. That said, there are several drawbacks that really bring down the experience. The room was quite noise (some kind of constant mechanical or HVAC hum). The breakfast was disappointing. Aside from the fresh orange juice, everything else was subpar. The sausages tasted boiled and flavourless, the eggs were dry, and the fruit selection came on a tiny plate. I’ve honestly had much better breakfasts at chain hotels like Hilton. There are also very few on-site amenities. There is no restaurant or bar open on site, no gym, no pool, and the sketchy uncovered parking is expensive at nearly $40 a night. The saving grace is the location: just two or three blocks away, there’s excellent dining of all kinds. Overall, it’s a clean and stylish spot in a great area, but it really underdelivers on the four-star promise. It feels much more like an upscale three-star experience.

The sink was very small and hard to use when brushing your teeth. Also only two paper cups and very small espresso china cups. Give me a couple of glasses for petesake! The AC is LOUD, and the walls are thin, so you can hear everything in the halls and the rooms close by, and above. There is. Sign in the elevator about quiet time from 10 PM to 7 AM or risk being tossed out on your ear, so noise is obviously an issue. The free breakfast looked pretty nice, although I don’t partake as we only got one free breakfast and we’re a party of two. I don’t like that at all, either give us breakfast, or don’t. We went to a great little place around the corner for considerably less than they wanted to charge. They brought a mini fridge up when we asked for one, but at the price it should already be there. Nothing really stood out as outstanding or particularly bad, but we would not stay again because of the noise and the lack of a window.

The Belmont is exactly as the pictures show. It’s a great boutique hotel and the staff are lovely. My only comment is noticing that the sound / walls and floor is thin. I was woken up due to whoever was staying on the floor above me and heavy footing… I’m also intrigued to know it’s my 2nd time for short stay in Vancouver as to why the hotels frost the windows even if it’s looking across an alley to the building opposite. I understand about privacy but sometimes you still want to feel a bit of the environment around you. Other than that loved it.

The room was very cute but the best thing and the thing that took it over the top was the staff. They are very helpful they check in on you enough to make you feel cared for but not enough that it's annoying. Amazing place amazing people. Probably the best hotel I've been to in terms of service. I upgraded to the deluxe room, and it was perfectly spacious and bright. I am glad I did, because the standard rooms do not have a view out of the window at all. The windows are covered with an opaque plastic. Hitesh at the front desk noticed it was my birthday during my stay, and had a bottle of wine delivered to the room, as well as a very thoughtful birthday bag of goodies and a birthday card. The service from Hotel Belmont will be a core memory for me and my first pick for a hotel in Vancouver in the future. Be careful, charged the full amount twice for our 3 day stay. Had to fight hard to get get a refund which eventually was processed, even they got the amount incorrect. We got the feeling that the front desk staff were blaming us for what is clearly their error, after all it is their computer system. Plenty of hotels in Vancouver, highly recommend you look elsewhere

I really enjoyed my stay. I was in Vancouver for a conference that was at thr convention center. Belmont was only a 20 minute walk there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even send periodic text making sure I was having a great experience. As a OneKey Platinum member, a perk was free breakfast every morning. The food was good but it was the same every day, but hey, it's food and it was included. There are some fun bars within a few blocks. Shower products were nice, minty fresh! Fair warning, the soap has tea tree in it, so if you aren't familiar with the tingle, then avoid sensitive areas. Otherwise the shower had great water pressure and was HOT! A nice touch was being able to cast your phone to the TV. I'd recommend family and friends to stay here. Thumbs up!

We were fortunate to be staying in a room that did not face Granville St so it was quiet. The hotel is close to our concert venue as well as the sky train, shopping and restaurants. Staff was very accommodating for storing our luggage after checkout until our flight. Overall it was a great experience! Will definitely be staying again!

Inside the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable, although it was disappointing that their dining facilities were closed. What was more concerning was that the hotel was right on the corner of a very loud and busy "entertainment district", with lots of police presence. Needless to say noise was a problem and we weren't super comfortable walking in the neighbourhood after dark.

Absolutely fabulous stay at Hotel Belmont. The room was very clean and comfortable. The exterior of the hotel and the interior decor gives off the vibes of a lounge, with a mix of class and eccentricity. The location is very convenient and central, a short walk from all major POI (points of interest) within the city - Gastown, Waterfront, BC Place, Rogers Arena...I have a hamstring injury and made it around town, hope to be back next time when I am healed LOL. It's minutes away from the #19 bus line that takes you to Stanley Park (15 min. ride). I went through Robson street on my way to Rogers Arena to attend TWICE concerts, and I love the variety of restaurants you can try on this street, and around town in general. Many fast food chains and convenience stores are also located nearby. The ice water chilled with cucumber was surprisingly refreshing. (and I don't even like cucumber)

If you are single female travellers it will be better to avoid staying in this area. From Granville bridge enter the downtown there are homeless/ drug users on the side of the street. The hotel room is small and worn out. However staff are nice and helpful.

Hotel had a funky vibe and room was spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A tad noisy at night due to being in the entertainment area, and sadly there appeared to be quite a few homeless people in close proximity, but the range of dining options was phenomenal.

Great check-in experience with Erika, appreciated all the info provided plus the bonus complimentary drink and cookie. The room itself was spotlessly clean, very good size and despite being streetside, I barely noticed any traffic noise (I was on the 5th floor). The breakfast is served buffet style with both hot options and continental but all included. All of the staff were super friendly throughout the hotel and I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Vancouver

The staff at this hotel were amazing!! So friendly, fun and great at their jobs! Only downside of our trip is that the “Living Room” is closed. If you look on Expedia it doesn’t show that. It advertises for it instead, so we were hoping for a place to go for a drink and a bite to eat in the hotel but other than breakfast that isn’t an option. Otherwise a great, cute place to stay that is easy walking to many other amenities!

Location was great. Within walking distance of good food/drink. Disappointed the restraunt/bar was closed Mon/Tue the only 2 nights we were staying. Also the "Basement" that was was advertised on website was permenantly closed. All and all pretty good. Probably won't stay there again. One other thing No mini fridge.

The property was very clean the staff was great ! What I didn't like, was the breakfast they provided it was absolutely awful... For what they charged for breakfast the breakfast should have been outstanding, there was nothing ourstanding about it ... if the breakfast was included in the the price of the stay i would still have said the breakfast was almost inedible ... but to pay for what they served was shameful... I strongley suggest they revamp the breakfast

The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. The lobby and facilities were clean and appealing. The room though small is decorated very nice. The beds are very comfortable. The property is in a great spot if you’re there for concerts or sports. Higher end dining is nearby as well as cheaper options right on Granville.
