Love the lobby decor and the rooftop bar area was nice for a late evening drink and snacks. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the hotel was in a convenient location for walking around downtown.

Nice hotel. The only thing is valet parking is $49 for overnight. Parking garage parking is $40 overnight. If you park in the parking garage you have to carry all your luggage downstairs, cross the street and then back up stairs. Its worh the $9 to have valet take car of car and luggage.

The property is very nice and super convenient. Close to great eating spots and the Fieldhouse. Parking is not included though and costs 45 a night. That was unexpected and added about 100 to our stay.

Very nice hotel in a great downtown location. Walking distance to many event centers and restaurants. The bed was incredibly comfortable! The only down side was the $46 charge for overnight parking. If there is a way to mitigate this expense, it would be a great benefit to customers.

Front desk was minimally staffed. One person when there was a wedding party coming in as well as regular guests. Hard to stay up to speed with the “extra” questions or needs that occur. 2 separate elevators went out at different times. Is it wear and tear or maintenance issues?? Again busy time frame, bad timing. Bar service in lobby area very good.

Clean and modern; hardwood floors; spacious bathroom

The floors were dirty and specifically the shower floor was moldy. The floors around the hotel were dirty. It seemed like a beautiful place, but not maintaining the cleanliness is just terrible.

I booked a hotel for the first time and when I arrived, it was nothing like the photos. The hallways leading to the room were dirty, number one. Number two, when I got to the room, it smelled musty, really damp, so I had to go to the lobby and ask for another room. They switched it for me, but again, the hallways were filthy, just disgusting. I don’t think this place should even have five stars. And when I finally got to the room, I couldn’t even close the windows because all the curtains were falling down, so I couldn’t sleep well. I called the staff and told them I needed to stay until noon to get some rest. But at 11, someone knocked on the door saying I had to leave because they had rented the room again. I told them I had left a note saying I’d check out at noon, and they said the check-out time was 11. I told them I needed until noon, but the overall experience wasn’t great. The bed was okay, but the building felt old, and I really didn’t sleep well. They really shouldn’t post pictures that don’t match reality.

Usually great but however, this time the room was not very clean. The bathroom smelled a little off and when I turned on the shower- the drain at the bottom had mold or a bunch of dirt floating out the top. I didn’t mind as I was only there for the night but was really surprised to see the bathroom be as dirty as it was. There were even dried up soap scum on the sink. Maybe it was a room that wasn’t used often

Worst hotel ever. To begin the sheets were dirty, there were giant brown streaks on the blankets. I asked for them to be replaced but they never did, not once during my entire stay. The phones did not work and they did not answer when I called from my cell phone so I had to go down stairs and place my order in person, the first morning I was there it took them 4 trips to get it correct. Worse part the first trip they delivered food but no silverware or the rest of my order, over 30 minutes and 4 failed attempts later... they still forgot my silverware to eat with. The second morning they still hadn't fixed the phones even though they promised they would. I called the front desk but no answer so yet again I had to walk down an place my order in person, again. They messed up my bill and tried to over charge me by more than $40. Also to note, this places charges $5 for tap water. For the prices, the food is not worth it. Their meal hours are very short and inconvenient. We stayed there multiple nights and needed clean towels. I requested clean towels and received none so, again, I had to walk down and get them myself. Every time I had an issue the management would direct me to their art galleries and start talking about the art instead of handling my issues. Also to note the beds are extra extra firm. If you like sleeping on the floor you will love these dirty beds

Charged $40 a day for parking on grounds in downtown Indy. The in/out fee for leaving and coming back is over $40 as well. I have two random $100 charges on my bank account, neither of which were disclosed when I booked/extended my room. I just wished that the additional fees were explained ahead. And with the shower floor having brown/gray soap scum on it upon arrival, I have better conditions at home in this boutique hotel. Overall I nice place to stay in downtown Indy but as a frequent traveler, overpriced.

The room is very stark furnished. Wood floors, no couch or table. Wooden bed corner stick out so that you bump into them. Lovely artwork. Overpriced.

Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Furniture could have been a little nicer for the price. Didn’t like how the light had to be turned off and on individually.

The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are average at best. We had to ask for hand soap, and they just didn’t restock hand towels. The bed is hard as a rock. One of the nights, they played music the entire night, which isn’t usually a huge issue except that our window wouldn’t fully close either.

The room was a little dated and had a lot of dings in the furniture but overall it was a nice stay. I would stay again.

I stayed in a kitchen suite. The accommodations were clean, comfortable. The walkability to restaurants, basketball games and CVS were great. The only challenge was the noise below my room at 2:00 a.m., 3:00 a.m., 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Loud jarring noises that shook the bed. No idea what that could be. Worst night of sleep!

Beds were uncomfortable. Could hear a lot of what was going on in the other rooms. Service was nice and location was convenient.

What a great hotel. It was clean and the hotel inside was quiet. The noise on the street once in a while could be heard. But that was expected and didn't diminish the great hotel. Our room was ready when we checked in early. And all the staff was very friendly. It was with walking distance of several venues including restaurants. Next time I'm in Indianapolis I know what hotel I want to stay at.

I did like that it was right by lucas oil stadium. It was a nice property. I did not like that there was no streaming capability, and if there was i was not informed as to how. Furnishings were clean but were a bit to "rustic" for this star level. Overall good experience but not great.

We love this hotel!!! Valet has the most amazing and energetic individuals to greet you when arriving. The check in staff is amazing, always friendly, always helpful.

I recently stayed at The Alexander hotel and while the overall experience had its positives, there was a significant issue with my reservation. I had specifically booked a room with 2 queen beds, but upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was oversold and my request could not be accommodated. To address the situation, they offered an additional room at no extra charge, which was appreciated. However, the inconvenience of having to separate into two rooms instead of staying together as planned did take away from the experience. The staff was courteous in resolving the issue, but I hope the hotel improves its booking management to prevent situations like this in the future.

Everything was really nice. All personnel were EXCEPT the people at the check-in ride with an attitude.

Had such a horrible experience checking in. We weren’t able to check in til almost 5 because the room was ready even though we were being charged for 4pm they didn’t seem to care and didn’t let us know. It was only after I asked to speak to the manager was he communicative. Just ridiculous to not have a room “ready” when you get there from flying in and want to rest but had to wait an hour for it.

incorrectly told there was a water dispenser on the third floor. Coffee shop not opening until 7:30 AM. This was a business trip. I had to be out of the hotel early paid for a full breakfast Buffet on Tuesday morning, there was absolutely nothing to grab and go. No croissants no biscuits the opposite of what was there prior yogurt not refilled. My room was never cleaned in the four days I was there. They only came in to make the bed waiting 30 minutes on hold for room service after a long flight with nowhere else to eat because the front desk is expected to run the entire hotel after hours. This was at 9 PM for reference the coffee cups were in adequate and burned your hand – was told the wrong cups were ordered. Beautiful façade operated on a red roof budget.

We went to a concert at the Indiana Pacers Stadium, which was right across the street, a 3-5 minute walk, great location.

Stayed at the Alexander to attend an Indiana Fever game. Excellent location downtown near Gainbridge Fieldhouse and a number of shops and restaurants. Hotel has cool art installations. The room was modern and comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Our one night stay was excellent! Very nice property, spacious and clean room! We were only a couple minutes walk to Gainsbridge Fieldhouse and Very close to Lucas Oil Stadium. Tupelo Honey was next door, so once we parked the car.. we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go!

Great location

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Felt very secure. Parking garage has a connected sky /ped way. The hotel bar was lively. Centrally located. Competitively priced. So close to the Gainsbridge Fieldhouse. CVS across from hotel should you need anything.

Amazing art and design in a hotel. They have 2 great restaurants located in the building, and one they own that made a great latte. Loved my stay.

Very nice accommodations and close to Gainbridge where we attended a Pacers game that evening. The Yolk restaurant was a great breakfast place as well.

Closed the bar early, and when I tried to order room service 45 minutes before its supposed to stop I was put on hold and no one picked up the phone for 20 minutes so I gave up.

Great stay just one night in Indy. Parking garage was nice and had level 2 EV chargers at no extra cost which we did use without any issue. Hotel and room was clean and the hotel has a fresh modern feel to it with a lot of cool art in the lobby area. The lobby bar was nice and breakfast was delicious. Definitely would stay again. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very loud room. Must have been under the gym. Room service food was awful and way overpriced. Ordered a club sandwich and it had raw bacon in it

The hotel was beautiful and I loved all the artwork! Parking was easy although an added cost. The room service was fast but the pizza wasn’t pizza. It was two flatbread slabs with very few toppings.

The Platt 99 bar was closed for a private event the evening of my stay. The event was supposed to end at 10pm but lasted until midnight. The music at this event was so loud that would could not sit in the lounge areas and have a conversation. When I called the front desk to complain the receptionist could barely hear me and said that she apologized but there was nothing she could do about it. Also the music radiated into the 3rd floor which was where my room was located. This hotel should not allow the bar, which is an amenity of the property, to be rented out in its entirety. Also they should not also the extremely excessive level of music to be played. I have stayed here several times in the past but this will certainly be my last stay.
