The tower side is grand and has a wedding venue feel, but all food, check-in and facilities is in the standard hotel a walk away. We stayed on a Friday night and only saw a couple of other people - we think only one other couple were in the Horsley Towers side, no staff to be seen. Bar closed etc which made it all seem a bit eerie. We upgraded to a junior suite and it had limited lighting in the room, windows were painted shut (Dyson fan was provided) extractor in the en suite didn’t work etc No shower so we had to sit in bath to wash (not practical when limited for time) Staff were nice and attentive but we sat completely alone for dinner, the restaurant was empty for dinner and breakfast, maybe the hotel was fully booked for a wedding later on? THE POOL HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE DECEMBER WITH NO SIGN OF REOPENING - which was a real disappointment for us as the reviews for the pool had been glowing and we were really looking forward to a swim. Some notice of the closure would have been nice

This is a great hotel in a beautiful location, the setting is really lovely, very peaceful and rural, stunning surroundings and historic buildings. Excellent food too Unfortunately the pool was out of action during our stay. Other than that all very good.

A fantastic hotel and grounds,nice room good service dinner buffet a bit basic breakfast was good but very badly let down by the pool area tiny changing room no sauna no hot tub no steam room disappointed.

We only stayed one night,it was a lovely stay.Room was clean,bed comfy .Staff gave us a downstairs room as soon as i said it was difficult for me getting upstairs.that was nice.Tea and coffee is in the rooms,also even after we checked out,we went a walk round the estate and came back for complimentary coffee ,tea and biscuits in the bar.Had a lovely swim after we checked in and gym in the morning.Breakfast was buffet style,really good and the evening before we had a buffet evening meal that again was excellent. We will be going back again soon.

Another enjoyable stay in Horsley Place. Pleasant, comfortable, but small room. Enjoyed walking round lovely grounds and using gym and pool. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff. We've found it good value and in a convenient place, using it as a base for visiting Wisley, NT properties etc and catching train into London (Horsley Station 25 mins walk). Unfortunately, wifi wasn't good at times.

Convenient one-night stay. Overall very good. It's all in a new building, not the one shown in advertising. Only let down by poor wifi (would have been useful as zero EE signal). Pool is nice, but changing arrangements are odd... need to take towel from room, and most lockers broken. Good breakfast. Easy parking. No EV charging.

Rooms are very small and dated and persistent plumbing noises. Very cramped rooms even when upgraded. Phone and TV remote is filthy. Electric heating is antiquated. Staff are very friendlt, and amenities are good.

This is lovely hotel, but I feel the rooms in the main part of the hotel isn’t up to the same standard as previous visits. Bed looked like it had been slept in. Shower wasn’t clean. The soap dispensers didn’t work. The staff are excellent and very welcoming, the grounds are lovely and I enjoyed walking around them and felt safe.

Not as good a room as last visit ....quite cramped , and dusty , and black mould in showers . No soap in sink. Very expensive breakfasts compared to similar hotels. Excellent location . Great difficulty in finding our reservation on arrival.

Booked this hotel for my in laws as they were attending a funeral in Surrey. Staff were very helpful and found a new room for them on the ground floor when they realised my mother in law struggled with stairs. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was exceptional with an excellent range of options. Would stay again.

I’ve stayed before and loved it. I still enjoyed it this time and will definitely come again but I was in one of the further away rooms which haven’t been renovated which I wouldn’t have minded so much but the cleanliness wasn’t great. I think although the bathroom is old and needs refurbishment there could have been more effort made to make it a bit cleaner. For example mould and rust in the bathroom etc. and loads of water marks on the bath, dust and dirt on the floor

I’ve stayed here several times because it is ideal for work. The Hotel staff are always great and very helpful. The grounds are well kept and the Horsley Towers are very impressive. Unfortunately the cleanliness is not great. The bathroom, in particular the shower needed a good clean. There is a small gym on site which is perfect for a 45min workout but it too requires a good dusting. The wifi and phone service in the rooms is terrible and very intermittent. The wifi in the bar are is good but not ideal when trying to contact home.

Comfortable bed, quiet. Unfortunately room was not very clean. No phone signal in room (not your fault) but wifi does not reach the room we were in. We were flying next day and having issues checking in - had to keep leaving the room to communicate! Also no help offered and we had heavy bags and hotel is not a good environment to move large/heavy bags around.

Needs updating a superior should have at these a king size bed, a standard double is not good enough, rooms are tired and small. Most of the great photo's are of the seperate wedding venue , which isnt the 70/80s add on hotel.

Staff very helpful and welcoming, breakfast was lovely and the area around the hotel was nice to walk. Mattress in room 733 was appallingly bouncy and soft it felt we were rolling together, so didn’t sleep very well. Mentioned this at reception, lady apologised for this but didn’t appear to take any note to get it checked. Will always check in future before it’s too late to change rooms. Also people in adjoining rooms continually visiting each other until around 1230 at night letting the doors slam didn’t aid our sleep either. Why can’t hotels fit silent door closers?! Also mentioned at reception. Would love to stay again but would check out the mattress straight away!

This is an incredible 3 star property, especially the rooms in the original building which are extremely spaciois and comfortable and amazing value for money. Staff were very accomodating and friendly. Will definetly return.

Superior Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Restaurant is clean, breakfast well cooked. Gym and pool pretty quiet. The setting of the hotel is very nice and peaceful. Lots of greenery and fresh air.

Hotel accommodation is absolutely fine but the rooms are located in a modern purpose-built complex - not in the stately home. In fact, we had no access to the house at all. Just be warned!

Beautiful grounds but the room was tiny and bathroom very small. The bed was a double ( very small for two) very unusual these days to see a double in a hotel. The bedsode shelf practically sat on the bed and I was afraid I was going to bash my head on it. Wrapped a pillow around it . Very tight for two people. The breakfast was lovely though and hot drinks available all the time from the lobby.

Problems with the booking not linking to the hotel due to a system upgrade. However this was sorted when we arrived and handled well. Room was smaller than expected but was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good. Well presented and warm.

We arrived about 8.30pm , the receptionist was unwelcoming and the room we were given was a tiny box room. It was so stuffy and hot we tried to put the air conditioner on but it didn’t work. I called reception and was told it didn’t have air conditioning. She said she would call the manager to see if we could be transferred to another room and after some time we were given a reasonable room on the ground floor. My husband and I are in our eighties and really could have done without the hassle. Although the new room was fine it didn’t have any drinking glasses and I was told it’s not their policy to provide them although they did send some to the room. The whole place is a shambles, finding reception (the one we checked in on the previous evening was closed.) it took us 25 minutes to find it in order to check out. All in All a pretty poor show

Staff were amazing, they saw me hobbling after I'd damaged my ankle and got me some ice and towels without me asking, and fitted us in for dinner and breakfast without questions when we hadn't booked due to again seeing me injured!

This facility is principally a "venue" providing facilities and accommodation for weddings and conferences. In addition it has modern simple bedrooms. We only required basic overnight accommodation and so our Horsley Place first floor Guest Room was fine. The downside was no lift and a steep set of stairs. The room was relatively small but was quiet and comfortable. We did not appreciate the number of cushions scattered on the bed - they serve no useful purpose and took up quite a lot of room space when removed. Pleasant lounge/bar areas are available. Breakfast was a veritable feast including Full English. However, to get from our room to breakfast entailed an outside walk via a gravel footpath which included a number of trip hazards - fortunately it was not raining. Maybe this was a temporary route during the alterations which were in progress. One final point - finding the vehicle access to the hotel is quite tricky. It is not indicated from the village road and it is quite easy to drive past it.

It is a unique Property with previous owners being Lord Byron's daughter Ada Lovelace, who wrote the mathematical algorithm for modern British computers, and Tommy Sopwith who developed his Aeroplane for the RAF. It was perfect to visit RHS Wisley, and avoid the horrendous M25 Junction 10 tail back, travelling through the Surrey countryside. It had beautiful grounds and a large lake.

The towers rooms are nice and absolutely best if your stay is for leisure (the rooms in the main house are really geared for corporate stays are are pretty soulless). Nice friendly bar staff. Breakfast is good. Bar food is okay but there are lots of options within walking distance. Nice grounds in a nice village with a direct train into London Waterloo.

Rooms very nice beds lovely and duvet super nice . Poor experience with dinning as two of us had off one menu and two order different meal . Think boys order may have been for gotten two prefer was help your self , we had to ask how long the other two orders where going to be told 7mins but was much longer . Our help your self nice but the orders meal where very late and disappointing .

My wife & I had a fabulous experience at this hotel. We arrived a little before check in time and the room wasn't ready, they allowed us to use the pool and when we come out they'd arranged for our room to be ready early. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room in the towers was excellent, quite a special feeling staying in a small castle type building. The food in the restaurant was excellent at both breakfast and dinner. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

The hotel was clean and well run. Disappointed no hotel info in room and no room service available which would have been welcome after a long, tiring, driving day. Bar meals were avdd as liable as dining room closed but you weren’t allowed to take meals to your room.

Lovely little weekend break, great facilities clean fresh room, nice swimming pool, bonus was the restaurant. Had a lovely buffet 3 course meal for a very reasonable price. Didn't need to leave hotel. Would stay again.
